Twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 4, and son Henry, 1, must be accustomed to their Oscar-winning mom Julia Roberts bragging about them.
What’s the best thing about being a mom?
“My kids!” Julia, 41, beams during the premiere for her spy thriller Duplicity held Monday at Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC.
Julia, who has been married to Danny Moder, 40, since 2002, makes being with her family the most important thing in her life.
“I think everybody’s priorities shift after awhile,” Duplicity costar Denis O’Hare, who also worked with Julia in Charlie Wilson’s War, says. “She made a really hard choice to be with her family at one point, and then she missed the movies, and so she came back but she still has responsibilities for her kids, and she’s figuring out how to do that. I think she’s a great mom. She’s at ease, which is the hallmark of a great mom.”
He continues, “I feel like she’s integrated her life really beautifully. She’s figured out how to have a life in New York with her family, and also continued to be in movies, and that’s a really hard thing to pull off. She’s done it gracefully.”
Clive Owen, who has two daughters, also worked with Julia in 2004’s Closer.
“We had enormous fun before, and we enormous time again,” Clive says.
Duplicity is in theaters March 20.
Clive Owen’s Daughters Make Fun of Him
March 17th, 2009
Just because Clive Owen is a movie star doesn’t mean his family treats him like a king 24/7.
“Whenever I’ve done a movie and been away from home, I tend to take considerable downtime, and then we lead as normal of a life as we can,” the actor, 46, who has been married to wife Sarah-Jane Fenton since 1995, tells OK! at last night’s NYC premiere of his new film Duplicity, co-starring Julia Roberts. “I take the kids to school, Sarah-Jane and I hang out, go out in the evenings and do all the things you’d expect.”
His daughters, Hannah, 12, and Eve, 9, like to make sure dear ol’ dad doesn’t let his ego get too big.
“They send me texts like ‘Don’t wear the velvet jacket because it’s weird and embarrassing.’ They make me too self-conscious now, like ‘Oh, I’ve gotta go and get changed in the dark.’”
Wait, they don’t think he’s rugged and cool?
“They definitely don’t think that, no. They know me better than that.”
Despite the ribbing he gets from his kids, Clive enjoys taking them to the movies.
“I’ve literally seen every kids’ movie for the last eight years I think,” he says.

Julia Roberts Has a White House Crush
March 6th, 2009
When it comes to having crushes outside her marriage to hubby Danny Moder, Julia Roberts‘ affections are in a four-way split.
"I have such the White House crush happening right now for all four of the Obamas!" she admits to The Insider in an interview airing tonight. "She seems to be a person who is really authentic and shows who she really is," she adds of Michelle.
Although she often gets to work with super-hunk George Clooney, the Duplicity star has nothing but friendly feelings for her pal.
"[He's] a good friend," she says. "He’s a man that I admire greatly and I love what he’s doing with his life."
But George might have some competition for Julia’s co-star Clive Owen, who might make George feel jealous!
"He should! Clive’s younger," jokes Julia.
Clive Owen is Tall, Dark… and Not Talking
February 20th, 2009
The International star Clive Owen may be a tall, dark and sexy leading man (and ladies, let’s not forget British!) who’s played everything from an Interpol agent to a clever bank robber, but when asked what advice he’d give to up-and-coming stars, the actor says they’re on their own!
"I’d never give anybody any advice about anything, Clive, 44, told OK! at the Esquire Magazine Party in NYC on Feb. 11. "I don’t have great words of wisdom. There’s no advice. I don’t like giving advice to anyone about anything."
Ok, Clive, we’ve got it! No advice–to anyone… about anything!
Although he gets a hefty paycheck for playing plenty of sharp-tongued, intellectual characters on-screen, Owen says he’s never really understood the whole Wall Street mentality.
"I’m not really a sort of gambler on the stocks and shares so I don’t really need to make many changes", he says of the U.S.’s economic recession. "I think if you’re a bit of a financial gambler, then you would have to seriously adjust the way you think these last six months. Unfortunately, I’m not very savvy about that world."
Good thing he’s got his day job!
