Cloris Leachman Kisses and Tells!

February 4th, 2009

A kissing scene between actors isn’t shocking at all, but watching 82-year-old Cloris Leachman make out with fellow guest star 39-year-old Jack Black on Sunday night’s special post-Super Bowl episode of The Office was just a little bit weird.

Not for Cloris, however, who dishes the goods on her lip-locking moments to Celebuzz.

"He’s a wonderful kisser," the Dancing With the Stars alum says, adding that the duo even practiced their clinch before filming began.

"We did a little bit," she reveals. "We spent about half an hour in my dressing room discussing it."

(Discussing, eh? Is that what the kids are calling it these days?)

As for her fellow guest star, Jessica Alba, who loses Jack’s character to her grandmother, Cloris think it’s just a matter of taste.

"I guess to some people I might be considered hotter," she says. "All’s fair in love and war."

‘Dancing’ Stars Rally Behind Cloris Leachman

November 18th, 2008

Cloris Leachman may have wowed audiences and fans with her wise-cracking remarks and quirky moves on Dancing with the Stars, but she also proved she’s won the love of her fellow dancers.

Following her hospitalization and treatment for symptoms of pneumonia, Leachman’s fellow DWTS castmates are rallying behind the 82-year-old Oscar winner, making sure she gets the rest she needs.

"I spoke to Cloris today…She sounded okay," Derek Hough told Extra. "She’s in good spirits and I just hope my girl gets better. I love her."

Lance Bass and partner Lacey Schwimmer, who sailed to the top of the leader board during last night’s competition, also had warm wishes for Leachman.

"Cloris, I got you some chicken noodle soup with your name on it! I’ll bring it over!" Lance said. Lacey laughed, saying, "Knowing Cloris, she’s going to be back with rhinestones next week. You watch." Bass adds, "Kicking back whiskey. She’s fine!"

Leachman sought medical attention late last week reportedly due to pneumonia. On Monday, her rep confirmed the Oscar winner had sought treatment for a "bad cold" and was home recovering well.

Cloris Leachman is back home and resting after being hospitalized for a "bad cold," her rep confirmed on Monday.

“She went to seek some medical attention,” her rep said today in a statement. “She’s totally fine. She was at a family event on Saturday. She’s at home now.”

According to Entertainment Tonight,  the 82-year-old Oscar winner was headed home in the car with her son George, late last week, when she told him she was having trouble breathing and should go to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with pneumonia and was treated accordingly.

Leachman, who was the sixth contestant ousted from Dancing with the Stars, is also set to tape a surprise segment for the show later this week, her rep confirms.

Cloris’ Pick For DWTS Winner

November 4th, 2008

It’s time to start placing your bets for the winner of season seven of Dancing With The Stars — and Cloris Leachman who no doubt who her money’s on.

Brooke Burke will two-step to the top, predicts the show’s most controversial contestant.

“I always thought it would be Brooke,” the twinkle-toed octogenarian tells OK!. “Derek [Hough]’s an incredible dancer and she’s excellent.

"The judges give them extremely high marks.” But they face tough competition from Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson.

“They could win,” says Cloris, 82, who was eliminated with partner Corky Ballas on Oct. 28.

“Warren just tiptoes through it. He’s a wonderful spirit.”

Cloris Leachman Talks About Working with Brad Pitt

October 21st, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

From Jennie Garth to Marie Osmond, Dancing With the Stars has been a shot in the arm to several Hollywood careers. Just ask Cloris Leachman, who at the age of 82 will be going from the dance floor to working alongside Brad Pitt!

The irrepressible actress, who has kept viewers of the ABC reality show laughing all season, is appearing in Pitt’s next movie, the Quentin Tarantino-directed WWII drama Inglourious Basterds.

“I’m not working with him yet,” she told OK! about the hunky movie star. “It’s the best script I’ve ever read. This is a remarkable piece of work although it’s the worst spelling I’ve ever read in my life. Every third word is a misspelled word!”

“It’s about the Germans occupying Paris and the different factions. I play an old Jewish woman in Brooklyn but we’re going to shoot it in Berlin.”

When asked if there’s any chance Brad will fall for her the same way he fell for Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Cloris sighed, “They have children now. You don’t want to interfere with that, interested as he might be.”

Rocco is Scared of Cloris!

October 1st, 2008

Celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito, 41, may be fearless in the kitchen, but when it comes
to the dance floor, he’s scared — of 82-year-old foulmouthed Academy Award winner Cloris Leachman.

“I know everyone thinks I’m crazy,” Rocco tells OK! of his Dancing With the Stars
competitor. “But I think Cloris’ What’s gonna happen next’ factor is a force to be reckoned with.”

Cloris insists her vulgar slipups on the show aren’t her fault.

“Maybe I’m multiple personalities,” she tells OK!. “One of me does not know what the other one is ever going to do, and it’s horrified and terrified.”

Despite his so-so scores, Rocco tells OK! that he and partner Karina Smirnoff aren’t done yet.

“I think we’re in a ‘We can only go up from here’ situation. We set ourselves up perfectly."

However  both couples received low scores in Monday night’s judging, with Cloris and partner Corky Ballas garnering 15 points and Rocco and Karina nabbing just 16 points.

Rocco remained upbeat despite the low score, saying “I’m here to have fun."

"This is a magnificent woman,” he told OK! as Karina beamed beside him.
