Before his August 21 concert in NYC, Marc Anthony and his wife Jennifer Lopez, both 39, had their tresses tended to by Juan Carlos Maciques of NYC’s Rita Hazan Salon.
"He doesn’t like to be overstyled," Juan says, who added that J.Lo who lightened to a honey brown shade with golden highlights a day earlier, opted for soft waves.
As for the couple’s 6-month-old twins, Max and Emme, Juan tells OK!, "They are gorgeous…Jennifer said they’re so well behaved!"
Meanwhile, Jennifer no doubt left the twins at home during her visit to the Democratic National Convention last week where she exercised some political muscle at a private reception recognizing Marian Wright Edelman.
Held at the Denver Art Museum, the reception paid tribute to Edelman’s efforts in providing disadvantaged American children with a strong, effective voice.

Jessica Alba and husband, Cash Warren, are notoriously private when it comes to their personal lives. But when the new parents took their first family trip to Denver, Colo., to be part of the democratic national convention, the experience had a moving effect on the couple. In his blog, Mr. Alba shares his experience with the candidates and reveals some sweet details about life with his new baby daughter, Honor Marie.
"This was our first trip as a family," Cash writes. "As always, we arrived at the airport way too close to our departure time so it was hectic. It’s always nerve wracking for new parents to fly with their child because you never know if you’re going to ruin everyone else’s flight with a screaming baby. (To date, Honor has been a great baby. Rarely crying. Opting to express herself through simple Haikus or interpretive dance instead…Yeah right. My girl’s got opinions. Lol.)"
Cash describes listening to Bill Clinton speak "like seeing a HOF (Hall of Fame) athlete return to their sport."
Of hearing Barack Obama’s speech, Cash says it made him "remember why I love being part of the world in this day and age. I have been to Superbowls, NBA championships, Academy Awards, etc., but none of them compare to what it was like sitting inside of Invesco Field that day. I will remember this day for the rest of my life."

During her performance at Sunday night’s Democratic National Convention opener, Green Sunday at Red Rocks, Sheryl Crow explained why she is supporting Barack Obama for president.
"We’ve lost the ability to be inspired," she told Extra. "And he’s stepped up. We are finally inspired by the words that he’s saying."
The nine-time Grammy winner said she feels celebrity has become a "derogatory term"–one that she prefers not to associate herself with.
"I like to think of myself as an artist and a songwriter and I feel like my voice is better utilized if I’m encouraging people to excercise their right and their freedom to vote safely in this country," she says. "To please get registered and make their voice heard rather than endorse a candidate."
Sheryl continues, "Obviously I’m here supporting Senator Obama…But more than that for me it’s just important that people just get out and be part of the system."
