After various reports circulated that Jon Gosselin’s alleged mistress, 23-year-old Deanna Hummel, would be appearing on future episodes of Jon & Kate Plus 8, TLC is firing back, saying that just isn’t so.
"There are no plans to use her. We are in hiatus and all future episodes haven’t even been planned," the network says in a statement.
Somehow we don’t think Kate Gosselin would let that woman anywhere near her interview couch, much less her eight little ones.
Not only are Jon and Kate Gosselin taking a permanent break by filing for divorce yesterday, their TLC reality show will also be on hiatus. The network announced today that next Monday’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 will be a package of clips, with the next all-new episode not airing until Aug. 3. The couple just announced on last night’s show that they would be separating.
The L.A. Times reports that sources close to the show said the production break is the network’s idea.
Yesterday Kate filed for divorce in Pennsylvania, but while the couple might be living out some aspects of their split in public, those papers will remain sealed and away from the media, TMZ reports.
The site says court clekrs were called in and told by the head of the department and were told not to release the papers under any circumstances.
We can feel the divorce storm brewing between Usher and estranged wife Tameka Foster Raymond, and it’s probably about to get ugly: According to divorce documents filed by Usher on Friday and obtained by E! News, the couple has been separated since July 2008, which means they were only together for 11 months of their two-year marriage.
"The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken," read the documents, filed in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court. "There is no reasonable hope of reconciliation."
The documents also reveal that Usher wants a copy of every document his wife kept during their marriage, including the usual tax files, paycheck stubs, bank account information and other financial records, insurance policies, real-estate rental agreements, medical records and automobile registrations.
On the eyebrow raising side of things, he also wants copies of "notes, cards, letters, photographs, film, documents, tapes, voice recordings, gift, jewelry, clothes" or other evidence that reflects on Usher’s conduct during their marriage, as well as detective reports, photos or recordings that have resulted from either "surveillance or investigation" of Tameka’s hubby. Which, in short means she might have hired a detective to follow Usher to find out of he was cheating.
And just in case Tameka could hide anything, he also wants copies of "any and all diaries or personal notes kept…during the course of the marriage."
Last but not least, Usher asks for joint legal and physical custody of their two sons, 18-month-old Usher V and 6-month-old Naviyd Ely, saying the boys "are substantially dependent upon each party for support."
After a nasty divorce trial, it’s no wonder Christie Brinkley isn’t the biggest fan of tying the knot anytime soon… if ever.
"I would never get married again," she tells Ladies Home Journal in their July issue. "With what I know I don’t see why anyone would get married."
But far from feeling sorry for herself about her split from Peter Cook, Christie is making amends to everyone else!
"I feel like I should apologize to everybody for them having to read all that tawdry stuff, and having it delivered to their kitchen tables when their kids are around," she admits.
Her marital troubles haven’t put her off love entirely, but she does have a somewhat practical approach to romance.
"I totally believe in true love. And I think couples should celebrate their love over and over again," she says, adding, "In fact, right at the beginning of a relationship, I would formalize an exit strategy."
So will Christie be looking for love again anytime soon? Not until she’s totally ready.
"I haven’t always followed my own advice, but I’ve always believed that you’ve got to be whole before starting with someone new," she explains. "You’ve got to find that inner peace. I’d have to feel, ‘Okay, the time is right to be open to that again."
It’s getting harder and harder to keep up with on-again-off-again -on-again couple Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn: Despite filing legal separation papers on April 24, Sean had those documents dismissed yesterday, Extra reports.
So for those keeping score at home, they’re on again.
The couple wed in April of 1996 and have two kids together, Dylan and Hopper Jack. They first filed for separation in December 2007, but reunited months later in April 2008. The Penns then stayed together until April when the second split happened.
We hope second time’s the charm for this reunion!
Seems like there’s no chance of Kate Walsh ending her marriage with Alex Young amicably: her lawyer Laura Wasser has gone ahead and requested a trial date in their divorce, TMZ reports, which isn’t a sign of friendly terms.
Alex is reportedly all about getting info on the house they bought before they were married, and Kate allegedly feels pressured to give him informaiton she thinks he already has. The two were only married for 14 months.
Complicated, but it boils down to this: getting a court date means they’ve got to settle things on their own, or they’ll go before a judge. Alex’s lawer tells TMZ the case is "nowhere near ready for trial."

It seems things are going full-steam ahead in Mel Gibson’s divorce case – the star has already vetoed the Hon. Rafael Ongkeko from hearing his case. His lawyer BobKaufman filed papers yesterday to that effect, TMZ reports.
Each side in the case is allowed to say no to a judge once, within the first 10 days. Wife Robyn Gibson’s lawyer Laura Wasser has yet to respond in kind.
However, due to the high-profile nature of the case, it’s doubtful that the Gibsons will appear in an L.A. County Courthouse. It’s more likely that they’ll get a private judge to hear them out away from all the publicity and attention.
Uh-oh, Hulk Hogan just comitted the ultimate no-no: likening the rage he feels toward soon-to-be ex, Linda Hogan, to that of OJ Simpson.
The former WWF star tells Rolling Stone he understands why Simpson (allegedly) went on a killing spree, violently murdering ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994.
"I totally understand OJ," he says. "I get it. I could have turned everything into a crime scene like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat."
Yikes! Them’s some fierce fighting words Hulk! But Hogan explains, "You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can’t go to anymore, you’re driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife."
He is referring of course to Linda’s new boyfriend, whom he calls "some shaggy haired pool boy 30 years her junior." Linda reportedly forced Hogan out of his $18 million home and started spending his money at the rate of $40,000 a month.
To be expected, the Hulk’s rep was in full damage control mode on Wednesday, telling Access Hollywood that Hogan, "in no way condones the OJ Situation."
Hogan and Linda are battling it out in a Florida divorce court, where Linda’s attorney claims she’s entitled to use the car and that Hogan’s claims against her are merely an attempt to control her love life.
Is Mel Gibson moving on from his marriage already? Just days after his wife of 28 years, Robyn Gibson, filed for divorce, the Braveheart star was spotted on the beach at his Costa Rican ranch with a mystery blonde, Extra reports.
Mel came by helicopter on Monday, looking relaxed in a half-buttoned collared shirt and holding Crocs in his hand.
A witness tells Extra, "Mel was laughing and joking. He did not look at all worried or concerned. You would never have guessed he is going through what could be a very expensive divorce."
While Mel and the blonde pal had fun, laughing and joking on the sand, Mel seemed to pause for some deep thoughts at one point.
And he’s got a lot to think about – the "irreconcilable differences" cited in Robyn’s divorce filing and Mel’s response could see half of his $900 million going to his ex-wife. Yikes.
