Mandy Moore & Ryan Adams Engaged!

Congratulations to Mandy Moore and alt-rocker Ryan Adams!
The couple are engaged, Moore’s rep, Jillian Fowkes, confirms to E! News.

The duo began dating quietly in Dec., 2007, but weren’t outed until March. In July, Adams released a statement regarding their break-up, blaming the spotlight surrounding Moore, 24.

 
Around this time, Moore flew to the side of her ex-boyfriend DJ AM following his tragic plane crash. They reunited briefly but the flame fizzled by the end of December.

News of Moore’s reunion with Adams broke last week, when he posted a photo of the two of them together on his blog. The picture, taken during Sundance, has since been removed.

The Because I Said So star has dated her fair share of high profile guys, including Wilmer Valderrama, Andy Roddick and Zach Braff. Her next album, Amanda Leigh, is set for release in May.

Nick & Vanessa: New Year’s Ring?

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo lip-locked their way through the New Year at LIV nightclub in the Fontainebleu Miami Beach Hotel, snuggling and dancing until the wee hours.

"Nick got a kiss almost every hour–it was adorable," an observer reports.  Despite rumors of an imminent split, Nick, 35, and Vanessa, 28, are going strong. A friend tells OK!, "They are ringing in 2009 closer than ever." So will this year will be the year that Nick pops the question to his lady love?

In the meantime, the new year is especially significant for Lachey, who recently joined the MTV team as host of an as yet untitled project, set to follow Ohio theater enthusiasts in their quest to make it.

Guess we’ll just have to stay tuned!

Bachelor Jason Mesnick Engaged

Ahead of the premiere of the 13th season of the ABC hit series, The Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick says he has become engaged to one of the women who competed for his love on the reality show, set to air on Monday.

Mesnick, 32, is a single dad who made it to the final rose ceremony on the season finale of The Bachelorette. After DeAnna Pappas sent him packing for snowboarder Jesse Csincsak (the couple has since parted ways), Mesnick decided to try his own luck on the show as The Bachelor – something he now says has made him empathetic towards Pappas.

Mesnick says his choice of a future bride also had to suit the other person in his life – his 3-year-old son, Tyler. The handsome accountant says he consulted his son’s pediatrician and a psychologist before exposing him to the show’s unique situation and any separation involved.

”He’s always in the forefront of my mind,” Mesnick said.

Zooey Deschanel Engaged to Ben Gibbard

Her movie, Yes Man, is a hit at the box office and now Zooey Deschanel has become a yes woman–to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard.

The 28-year-old actress and the 32-year-old rocker reportedly became engaged the weekend before Christmas.

The couple had been dating for nearly a year. No other details were immediatlely available and reps for the couple declined comment.

 

 

Report: Tom Brady & Gisele Bundchen Engaged

TMZ is reporting that the actress’s ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, Tom Brady, 31, is engaged to girlfriend Gisele Bundchen, 28.

The New England Patriots QB reportedly popped the question to his supermodel lady love, 28, on Christmas Eve while on board a private jet that took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey and landed in Boston. There were four dozen white roses on board, as well as champagne.

Also on board for the big occasion: Gisele’s parents. Wonder if Brady’s son with Moynahan, John Edward Thomas, will be in the wedding?

Fergie & Josh: Text Message Love

Engaged lovebirds Fergie and Josh Duhamel know how to keep their relationship hot even when they’re far apart!

While Josh is away in Italy filming When In Rome, friends say fiance Fergie is never far from his mind.

"He sends her a text every morning before she wakes up," a pal of the couple tells OK!  While Fergi,33, is still undecided about a wedding date, she knows for sure what she loves about Josh,35.

"Everything," she tells OK!. "He’s the whole package."

Package indeed!

Cover Story: Reese & Jake Ready to Wed!

Sitting in a cozy booth at the Hominy Grill in Charleston, S.C., on May 3, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were the picture of happiness. Though the cheery couple, who arrived holding hands, brought their appetites, their minds weren’t on food.

"They couldn’t keep their eyes off each other," Hominy Grill manager Brandy Mangum tells OK!. "The entire time, he was so attentive. It was really sweet. They really do make the perfect couple."

Friends of the pair say it won’t be long now before Jake pops the question to his lady love. "They’ve been talking marriage for a while," a source close to Reese reveals to OK!. "They’ll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together."

But don’t expect these two to go down the route of so many Hollywood couples who move in together and start families before getting hitched. "This is a very serious relationship," the Oscar-winner’s pal explains. "But Reese is very conservative and traditional. I’m sure she doesn’t want her kids to see her ‘living in sin.’"

When asked about their clients’ plans for walking down the aisle, Reese’s rep had no comment, while Jake’s people claim there are no immediate plans for a wedding.
