Hold the blonde jokes, please: if blonde is good enough for Twiggy, Grace Kelly and Brigitte Bardot, it’s good enough for Faith Hill.
The stunning country singer recently underwent three transformations for a photo shoot featured in the May issue of Redbook, on stands April 28. As if one would need a reason to emulate the three beauties, she explains her decision to appear as these iconic ladies in an accompanying interview.
“Grace is probably the one that I relate to the most in my life and the one that I have most in common with,” she Explains “I have this seemingly high-profile life, like Grace did, and we were both the mother of three children. She epitomizes the all-American girl with a quiet class and inner strength. She was like everybody’s girl—seemingly comfortable and accessible—yet untouchable.”
As for posing ‘60s supermodel Twiggy, Faith at a little more trouble.
“It was hard for me to look at myself as Twiggy,” she admits. “I think she was in her late teens when the original photo was taken. And there’s a very big difference between a teenager and a 41-year old!”
But sexpot Brigitte was her biggest challenge, as Faith reveals, "To me, sexuality is very different from sensuality. And Brigitte possesses this sensual essence that is so powerful. If I could possess that kind of sensuality, I would want to possess it like she does.”
FAITH IN REBDOOK:
When two huge stars join forces in marriage, the result is a force to be reckoned with. This year Jay-Z and wife Beyonce topped Forbes.com’s list of Hollywood’s Top-Earning Couple, with $162 million between them in a one-year period.
Not only are they rich, but the talented twosome have influence across the board, in movies, music, fashion and high-profile endorsement deals.
"Naturally, powerful people tend to gravitate toward other powerful people," clinical psychologist and celebrity researcher Jim Houran tells Forbes.com.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith were #2 on the list, pulling in $85 million in a year, mostly from Will’s movies like I Am Legend, The Pursuit of Happyness and Hancock.
Other big names in the top five were: David and Victoria Beckham ($58 million), Tim McGraw and Faith Hill ($35 million) and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ($34 million).
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were also on the list.
Faith Hill looks as festive as a tree ornament on the cover of her Christmas album, Joy To The World, which is in stores now.
The mom of three, who is wearing a flowing red dress with gold accents and matching jewels, certainly has practice decking the halls.
“I’m a huge Christmas fan and consumer,” Tim McGraw’s wife, 41, says. “You walk in my house, and it’s like someone has vomited Christmas. I have the napkins in the bathroom with Santa Claus on them, and all that stuff.”
She continues, “I waited a long time to do a Christmas record because I wanted to take the time to do it right. I really wanted to create an album like I’d listen to.”
She’s proudest of her new song, Baby Changes Everything. “I’m very excited.”
Despite her passion for the holidays, don’t expect Faith to pull the Christmas card again.
“I only want to do one. I’m happy, I closed it up, that’s it. I won’t do anymore Christmas. I’m very thrilled.”
Wonder if her girls Gracie, 11, Maggie, 10, and Audrey, 7, have their stockings up yet?
