American Idol: Happy to Go Home!

April 14th, 2009

Ousted American Idol eliminated contestants Megan Joy and Michael Sarver have the same reason they couldn’t wait to get home after their respective eliminations. They both wanted to see their kids!?

“I don’t want to be away from them that long, never again,” Michael said of his four-year-old daughter and two-year-old son, though his little girl has been keeping up with him via the family DVR.

“She knows it’s American Idol, that it’s TV and she thinks it’s cool. She likes to see Daddy on TV,” Michael shared when he stopped by the OK! office.

Megan, who was anxious to once again hold 2 1/2-year-old son Ryder, says he’s still too young to understand what has been happening on screen.

“It will be fun to go back later in life and show him what happened,” she said when she stopped by.

Both parents will pull a Britney Spears and have their children with them at least on part of the Idol summer tour.

“They won’t be on the bus, but I’ll have them meet me periodically throughout the tour,” Michael explained.

For Ryder, hitting the road means meeting his future wife: fellow Idol contestant Alexis Grace’s two-year-old daughter Ryan!?

“Ryan and Ryder will be married,” Megan declared. “It’s so cute.”

Maybe Lil Rounds’ kids will sing at the ceremony!

Catch American Idol, movie theme week with guest mentor Quentin Tarantino, Tuesday, April 14 at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Cheyenne’s singing TV role!

March 5th, 2009

You know I love me some Broadway. I’ve been fawning over super hottie singer Cheyenne Jackson for years.

Now I can be doubly happy that TV Fanatics can fall for him too.

Tonight, the crooning hunk, who’s been all over the airwaves lately, makes a guest appearance on Ugly Betty!

The Xanadu on Broadway star says he had a blast playing a "gay dad" who becomes the love interest of Michael Urie’s character Mark.

"Michael’s a friend of mine in real life so it was very fun to film," Cheyenne told OK!’s Oliver Coleman recently at the Broadway Backwards 4, a performance in support of the LGBT Community Center.

"Plus they’re a great group, a wonderful little family, and they’re very theater friendly. Everybody knew who I was which never happens!”

Cheyenne admits it’s a small part, but he’s hoping, “if they like it, they’ll write more."

If that happens, Cheyenne is going to have a busy fall. The TV Fanatic hears that the singer is about to film an upcoming guest spot on the new Fox series Glee.

Created by Nip/Tuck showrunner Ryan Murphy, the musical comedy follows a high school singing group trying to get to nationals.

Well, Cheyenne would be a perfect fit!

Check out Cheyenne on Ugly Betty, Thursday March 5 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Mark your calendars. Fox is running a sneak peek of Glee May 19.

Victoria Beckham: No Fashion Nightmare

March 6th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

Rumors swirling around the Web are claiming that Victoria Beckham is set to launch her own fashion reality show on FOX dubbed Fashion Nightmares. Gossip bloggers were giddy over the thought of Posh hitting the small screen, but her rep says it’s “absolutely not true.”

The supposed reality show was rumored to be a similar take on another hit FOX reality show, Gordan Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, and would feature Victoria Beckham travelling around the country to boutiques and clothing havens clearly in need of a style/marketing makeover.

Reps for FOX have also denied the rumors. Sorry Spice Girl fans!

September 25th, 2007

After leaving the FOX Fall Eco-Casino party at Area nightclub, cops pulled over the 24 star after he made an illegal U-turn. When Kiefer took the breathalyzer test, they found he was at twice the legal limit of .08 and was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge.

This is the fourth DUI arrest for Kiefer. He was also arrested in 2004, 1993 and 1988. He’ll face the judge Oct. 16, and if found guilty, he could face a mandatory minimum four days of jail time.
