A pregnant Nicole Richie carries leftovers in one hand and daughter Harlow in the other, on their way back from breakfast in Calif. on July 19. It was a family affair, as dutiful dad Joel Madden joined his favorite smiling girls for the morning meal.
The saying might traditionally go "First comes love, then comes marriage, then come the babies in the baby carriage," but Nicole Richie is just fine with having love, then Harlow, then another little one and then maybe, along the line, marriage to Joel Madden.
"Of course when I was a little girl, you dream about getting married, and that is definitely a dream of mine one day," the pregnant star said last night on Larry King Live when asked if she and Joel would tie the knot. "Right now, we’re really, really focused on our family, we’re focused on our foundation, and as far as feeling that need of commitment, we both really have that in each other."
So will Nicole and Joel find out the sex of their next baby? Nope!
"We want the surprise… what is there really to plan?" Nicole admitted. "I’ll get the clothes after."
Her dad Lionel Richie is rooting for a boy, and makes no attempt to hide that fact.
"Joel and I are having powwows," he said, as Nicole added, "You should hear them prepping each other."

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are auctioning some of Harlow’s baby clothes to raise money for their foundation.
So your little celeb could be the talk of the daycare in a pair of their one-year-old daughter’s hip Minnie Tonka moccasins, a chic Gymboree romper or her classic Stride Rite black mary janes.
Also available on the site is Nicole’s MacClaren/Lacoste special edition stroller — perfect for strutting down Rodeo Drive (it’s signed too!).

All the proceeds are going to the Richie-Madden Foundation, which aims to help children in the U.S. and abroad.
It’s a cruel world out there, and it seems Twitter is no exception: Nicole Richie just started her page on the site, and already her baby daddy Joel Madden is mocking it, Celebuzz reports.
"I’m now on Twitter!! Be patient with me, I’m learning. And so so sick in bed, so i’ll have plenty of time to figure it all out," she tweeted.
Sick? No reason to deliver anything less than scintillating tweets, says her boyfriend Joel on his own Twitter page.
"Ladies and Gentlemen introducing the most boring twitter page on the net!!!," he wrote in reference to Nicole’s fledgling page.
Ouch!
Nicole hasn’t taken the bait yet, busy as she is being a mother to their daughter Harlow and all.

This will make the second child in under two years for the couple, who are already parents to adorable baby girl Harlow Winter Kate Madden, born on Jan. 11, 2008.
Only a couple of months ago, Joel told <em>OK</em>! that he and Nicole were already thinking of expanding their young family.
"Eventually we’d love to have more kids," he <a href="http://www.okmagazine.com/news/view/10846/Joel-&-Nicole:-About-to-Adopt?" target="_blank">said at the time</a>. "Especially if they can all be as easy and wonderful as Harlow!"

During the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl in Tampa, Florida, Good Charlotte twins Joel and Benji Madden celebrated Super Bowl Sunday with, what else? parties!
The night before, Benji spent most of his time behind the turn tables at the Models and Bottles party, where he was joined by another celeb DJ, Samantha Ronson and girlfriend, Lindsay Lohan!
The on-again, off-again couple was rumored to have gotten into yet another public argument, but Benji tells OK!, "They’re great. We’ve known Sam for a long time and they’re great girls." Benji added that when it comes to his DJ-ing skills, "Samantha gives me tips. She’s been DJ-ing a lot longer."
Then there’s that near run-in with Madden’s ex-girlfriend Paris Hilton, who showed up as a celebrity guest at the Models and Bottles party. The two, have not been spotted together since their break-up, spent most of the night on opposite sides of the room.
When asked if he’s dating, Benji told OK!, "I’ve just been working. I’m great. I can’t complain. I have a great life, I’m working, I’m happy."
Benji’s brother Joel Madden also has a reason to be happy. His daughter with Nicole Richie, Harlow, just celebrated her first birthday.
"She’s great, she’s doing everything a 1-year-old does," he told OK!, adding that his relationship with Nicole works because "we love and support each other."
