It’s what everyone dreads will happen while they’re out of town — thieves breaking into their home and walking off with your prized possessions. And this time, it happened to actress Rachel Bilson.
According to Eonline.com, the former OC star was in Canada with fiancé Hayden Christensen when robbers raided her L.A.-area home and made off with loads of valuables, including some family heirlooms.
"It’s in the hundreds of thousands," Rachel’s rep told E!. "It was her Chanel collection, all her designer clothing, shoes and bags. She had a huge vintage shoe collection…all her jewelry, some of it given to her by her grandmother… She keeps going through it. She keeps finding more stuff that’s missing."
The rep says that the actual incident occurred on May 8, but with Rachel out of town a proper police report, detailing all the missing items, has yet to be filed.
According to some rumors flying about the internet, a holiday wedding between cutie couple Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson is in the works. Which would be fantastic for the pair — if it were true.
A rep for the brunette beauty has already spoken out to clear the air before this rumor runs rampant.
"Absolutely no truth to this," Rachel’s rep tells Entertainment Tonight Canada. "Simply a rumor."

Rachel Bilson has dated a co-star before. During her days on the hit show The OC, the 26-year old actress fell for her on-screen love Seth Cohen — played by Adam Brody. Now the very private actress is reportedly seeing another hot new actor, Hayden Christensen, with whom she stars in the new sci-fi thriller Jumper. But when asked to spill on her love life, Rachel smiles, “It’s nice to keep it to yourself.”
You’re not into the L.A. party scene, are you?
I keep to myself. I like to just hang out with my friends and my dog.
Is it difficult to have a relationship when you’re under scrutiny?
I try to live my life under the radar. I don’t comment on my personal romantic ife.
Wouldn’t it be easier to date a bank teller than an actor?
In some ways I’m sure, but if you date someone in the business you know what each other goes through. I wouldn’t say any relationship is easy.
How was it working with Hayden?
He’s a fantastic actor. I was so impressed with him. Everything we had to do was so challenging, especially physically. I never heard him complain once. He just happily obliged.

“I’m gonna…,” George Clooney, who is dating Sarah Larson, jokes.
“This is going to be my first Valentine’s Day in three years on my own,” Jesse McCartney tells me. “It just might be me on my couch this year. And the TV.”
“I’ll be ordering room service,” Rachel Bilson says. “I’ll be in a hotel room here. Hahaha.” As for his plans, her boyfriend Hayden Christensen says “nothing right now.”
Ryan Reynolds, whose movie Definitely, Maybe opens today, says, “My plan is to run out with 150 of my closest friends and see Definitely, Maybe.” Costar Rachel Weisz says she hopes to go out to dinner. “It’s very hard to get the kids together,” she says. “It’s very sad. I might stay in.”
“The best Valentine’s Day – or the ones I always liked – is when my boyfriend would remember it was Valentine’s Day,” Vanessa Carlton tells me. “That was always a plus.”

How did the stars spend their most memorable Valentine’s Days?
"Last Valentine’s Day I had a show, but afterwards I hung out with my boyfriend and all my friends and their boyfriends," Colbie Caillat tells me. "We went to dinner." (She has a new boyfriend this year.)
“We went for a balloon ride,” Phil Donahue, who is married to Marlo Thomas, tells me.
Naomi Judd remembers, “We went for a ride in our ’56 T-bird, and it’s got those bucket seats. It doesn’t have bucket seats – it has a bench seat. So we put the top down and rode around the countryside with my arm around him, so we can get up snuggly.”
Half the battle is knowing what interests you – and what doesn’t.
Emily Mortimer and hubby Alessandro Nivola know what they’re not going to do. “Not go out and sit in a restaurant with 25 other couples looking into each other’s eyes,” she tells me. “It’s terribly embarrassing.”
And sometimes it’s about a different kind of love.
Gone Country host and country singer John Rich tells me, “My grandmother’s birthday is on Valentine’s Day, so it’s always cool to celebrate her birthday. My grandmother makes all my stage clothes. She’ll be 77 this year. I wear rhinestone jeans and rhinestone shirts – all these crazy outfits. I’ve had big artists come up to me and say ‘man, where’d you get that?’ I’m like ‘oh, my Granny Rich made that.’ She’s a real part of my career and my imaging. Her birthday’s on Valentine’s Day, so I always load her up with a bunch of flowers. She has a little alteration shop in Tennessee. It’s always cool on Valentine’s Day to take care of Granny Rich.”

Though Rachel Bilson won’t confirm the rumors that she and her handsome Jumper co-star Hayden Christensen are romantically involved, the brunette beauty will openly admit that she enjoyed her onscreen smooching scenes with him.
"To all the ladies who I’m sure would like to know," Rachel reveals in an interview set to air Friday on The Morning Show With Mike & Juliet. "He was a good kisser!"
Regarding the true status of her love life, the 26-year-old, who ended her two-year relationship with OC co-star Adam Brody in 2006, says she now guards her privacy and tries to stay out of the spotlight.
"I like to lay low," Rachel explains to co-hosts Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy, saying that perhaps other young celebs could take a lesson. "I did that whole thing when I was younger, trying to get into the clubs when I was 15 and it was so silly looking back. Now, I want to be at home with my dogs and my friends."
This same discretion also applies to Rachel’s feelings on onscreen nudity, and why she says she won’t ever take her clothes off in front of the camera. "No, I feel pretty strongly about that," she says. "I feel there are ways to avoid it."
