Lisa Rinna Reveals A Melrose Place Secret

March 19th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff

Original Melrose Place resident Lisa Rinna has been encouraging West Hollywood’s bitchiest resident to come back to the show set to air on the CW this fall.

“[Heather Locklear] is such an iconic character on that show,” Lisa Rinna tells OK!. “I think that they will bring her back.”

But sources close to Heather told Entertainment Weekly that she’s turned down an offer to appear on the new show. Her reps confirmed that she has declined – for now.

Whether Heather reprises her role or not, the blonde beauty will still continue to romance her Melrose Place costar Jack Wagner off-screen.

“I saw the chemistry back then,” says Lisa. “You could see that from a mile away. When I found out they were together, it didn’t surprise me.”

The couple, who have been dating for almost two years since Locklear’s divorce to Richie Sambora “complement each other beautifully,” and “have a lot of fun together.”

“I wish them the best of luck and happiness,” says the mother of two.

Heather & Jack’s Perfect PDA

March 3rd, 2009

Former Melrose Place co-stars Heather Locklear, 47, and Jack Wagner, 49, looked oh-so-in-love at the Feb. 25 opening of songwriter Carole Bayer Sager’s L.A. Art House gallery opening.

"Heather and Jack were adorable," an eyewitness tells OK! of the engaged couple. "They had their arms wrapped around each other all evening. These two are meant for each other."

Meanwhile, rumors of Heather reprising her role as conniving Amanda Woodward on the new Melrose Place are running rampant! Casting is still up in the air for the CW remake of the hit 90’s show, so it looks like only time will tell!

Heather & Jack’s Team Effort

Lovebirds Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner proved they were pitch-perfect when they attended her 11-year-old daughter Ava’s  (dad is Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora) soccer game in Calabassas on Jan. 15.

According to an eyewitness, they were "all smiles" and Jack, 49, even gave Heather, 47, a kiss as he walked her to her car.

"They make a great couple," says Tara Simmons, a waitress at Marmalade Cafe in Thousand Oaks. "Those are two people who really like each other’s company. When she’s done eating there’s usually food left on her plate. He slides it over and finishes it off. That’s when you know it’s love!"

Indeed, Jack stood by Heather’s side during her most difficult times last year which included a June rehab stint for anxiety and depression and a September arrest for suspicion of DUI (the charges were dropped Jan. 2).

"They just seem right for each other," adds Simmons. Fans and TV honchos must agree: the couple, who met in 1994 on the set of Melrose Place, may soon ressurect their roles on a remake of the show.

Heather Locklear Escapes DUI Charge

January 2nd, 2009

In a nice "Whew!" moment, TMZ reports that Heather Locklear’s DUI case has been dismissed, and she’s pled no contest to reckless driving instead, a lesser offense that will probably only lead to probation and a $700 fine.

The Melrose Place star was arrested in September after a witness saw her driving erratically and called the police. Cops thought she might have been operating her vehicle under theinfluence of prescription drugs, which showed up in her blood tests later.

The lucky actress was represented by popular celebrity lawyer Blair Berk in court this morning, but Heather herself was not to be found in the courtroom. Berk has also fought the DUI battle for celebs like Mel Gibson, Kiefer Sutherland and even Heather’s ex, Richie Sambora.

Heather Locklear Charged with DUI

November 17th, 2008

Heather Locklear has been formally charged with DUI in connection to her September arrest, according to the Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office.

The midemeanor charge, filed in the DA’s office, found no evidence of alcohol in the actress’s system, but rather specifies that the issue was "prescription medications."

"Lab tests showed she had no alcohol in her system and no illegal narcotics of any kind," says Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter, who declined to comment on what medications – or the amounts – Locklear had taken. "We believe that the prescriptions she was taking could have impaired her ability to drive a motor vehicle safely," says Carter.

If she’s convicted, Locklear, 47, could face anything from a hefty fine to six months in county jail.

Locklear was originally booked on charges of driving under the influence of drugs and being under the influence of a controlled substance. The latter charge was not filed because, says Carter, "There were no illegal substances in her system."

In addition, felony charges for Locklear "were not a possibility," because DUI cases with no injuries are always misdemeanors, he said.

An arraignment has been set for Jan. 26 in Santa Barbara Superior Court. In July, Locklear completed treatment for depression and anxiety.

Who’s Coming Back To Melrose Place?

November 4th, 2008

With vacancies opeing in the hotly anticipated Melrose Place spin off, producers want to lure some famous former residents back the the steamy apartment complex.

But while Country Thorne-Smith and Vanessa A. Williams hope to reprise their roles on the 90s cult favorite, fans are waiting to find out if Heather Locklear, 47, will return as the scheming Amanda Woodward.

"Heather’s so great — she’s fantastic," Vanessa, aka aerobics instructor Rhonda Blair, told OK! at the Black Girls Rock! awards in NYC on Nov. 2. "People love watching her."

Vanessa, 45, added that she would "absolutely" accept a role on the CW’s new series. "It’s a great idea. Melrose Place was such a phenomenon, like 90210. It was a marker of our time."

Although he show is still in the early stages of development, Courtney, 41, had already told friends that she’d love to be part of it.

"Coutney said Melrose gave her her first real big break," the source tells OK!, adding that she wants to revive her character Alison Parker in a cameo role.

"The network is kicking around the idea of bringing back an original cast member as the building’s new owner," says the source.

However, former tenant Daphne Zuniga, 46, who played photographer Jo Reynolds, has left Melrose Place and thrown away the key!

"To redo something that I did so long ago on current basis is so wrong to me."
