Can you hear the cash registers ringing?
The cast of CBS’ How I Met Your Mother, Neil Patrick Harris, Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan just signed deals with 20th Century Fox TV to raise their salaries, garnering them between $90,000 and $120,000 per episode, due to the show’s solid ratings and popularity, according to reports.
That might not sound like a lot (remember Friends stars nabbing $1 million per episode?) but in these tough economic times, any raise is still a raise. The raises represent between two and three times their previous salaries.
Fans of HIMYM will also be happy to know that the show has added an extra year on to the actors’ original contracts of seven years.

Even though Britney Spears‘ second guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother has come and gone, it’s still the top item on everyone’s list of questions for show co-star Alyson Hannigan.
"Was she acting all crazy on the set?" asked Jimmy Kimmel, who was filling in for Regis Philbin on Friday’s Live With Regis & Kelly.
"Not at all," said Alyson. "She’s very funny… very lovely and polite."
Recounting the pop star’s time on the HIMYM set, Alyson recalled, "She really liked my little dog… They bonded. My puppy got to kiss Britney Spears!"
While co-host Kelly Ripa suggested that Hannigan "never wash that puppy again," Jimmy was a little more forward, saying, "I hope Britney doesn’t end up pregnant!"
