Amid the reports that Michael Jackson has a rare illness requiring him, among other things, to need a lung transplant, his big bro, Jermaine Jackson, has jumped to his defense, assuring the world he had nothing to do with rumors claiming Michael is sick.
Jermaine released a statement through his attorney on Tuesday, stating:
"Contrary to various news and media reports, Jermaine Jackson has advised me that he has made absolutely no comments about the health of his brother, Michael Jackson, and that any comments or statements attributed to him regarding the health of Michael Jackson are a complete and total fabrication. Further, nothing is to be construed or concluded from Jermaine’s lack of comment because such a conclusion might, in fact, be erroneous."
On Monday, a doctor from the King of Pop’s camp released a statement denying the reports that he’s suffering from Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency and calling them a "total fabrication."
The statement, purportedly written by a Dr. Tohme Tohme, who is referred to as Jacko’s "official and sole spokesperson" takes issues with the recent claims of
writer Ian Halperin that the oddball pop star suffers from emphysema and internal bleeding, and has lost 95 percent of the vision in his left eye.

One day after his mother, Britney Spears, brought him to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center for a food-related issue that caused an allergic reaction, TMZ is reporting that 2-year-old Jayden James has been released from the hospital. Cameras caught the pop singer whisking her son home with what looked like a security escort on Monday evening.
Earlier today, Britney posted a statement about her son’s ordeal on her Web Site, saying:
"Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th. Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested. He is expected to be discharged tomorrow."
The whole Spears family rallied together to rush the 25 miles to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Center on Sunday, after Jayden became sick. When Britney called 911 she was told it would be quicker to drive to the hospital rather than wait half an hour for an ambulance to arrive.
No word on whether Jayden’s dad, Kevin Federline, has been notified. Britney reportedly had been trying to reach him all day.

It’s hard to know who to feel more sorry for–Janet Jackson, who’s taken ill in the middle of her first North American tour in seven years, or her fans who keep getting cancelled on.
On Monday, a doctor ordered the singer to postpone her Rock Witchu tour once again, forcing the shutdown of tonight’s performance at the Turning Stone Resort in New York.
A message posted on the resort and casino’s website stated the show had been cancelled at the advice of Jackson’s doctor.
The legendary singer has also postponed several more shows, including one on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Promoters say the dates will be rescheduled.
The source of the singer’s ailment has yet to be disclosed. Jackson was rushed to a hospital in Montreal before a concert in late September.

According to a report by the CBC, Janet Jackson’s hospital stay on Monday night was a brief one.

Last night, a representative for the singer released a statement saying that she had "suddenly fell ill" and was taken to the hospital, where her condition was being monitored.
Neither doctors nor reps for Janet have said anything specific regarding the cause of her bizarre illness.

A recent tabloid report claiming legendary singer/songwriter Barry Manilow is ill and dying is absolutely false, his rep told OK! exclusively on Wednesday.
In a statement to OK!, Manilow’s rep said:
"We just saw a pretty outrageous headline on one of the tabloids claiming that Barry is ill and down to 100 pounds. Granted, he’s pretty trim. But 1oo pounds? Give us a break. Even Mary Kate and Ashley [Olsen] weigh more than 100 pounds. And no… he’s not ill.
What he is…is rehearsing for his new show in Las Vegas, recording his new album, recording an original rock album. Putting together an arena show and sometimes even enjoying the beach.
By the way…we also saw a headline that said aliens had invaded Pomona. That headline, of course, is true."
