Shia LaBeouf’s 911 Call Released

August 8th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

Extra has obtained the 911 call of a woman reporting Shia LaBeouf’s car accident early Sunday morning on July 27 in Los Angeles.

“A car is flipped over,” she told the police dispatcher, “I was just driving by, and there’s a car turned over. It looks like it’s upside down.” She also says, “I don’t see anyone here, and I’ve been here for 5 minutes.” Click here to listen to the entire call.

Though it’s been declared by authorities that the accident may not have been his fault, the Indiana Jones star, 22, was charged with a DUI after getting behind the wheel while intoxicated. The actor was spotted leaving the club Troubadour in Santa Monica earlier in the evening, where he was drinking with friends, including Transformers co-star Isabel Lucas, 23, who was seated in the passenger seat of his truck at the time of the collision.

LaBeouf, Lucas and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital after the accident, and though there were no fatal injuries, LaBeouf received extensive surgery on his left hand.

Denied: Harrison & Calista Not Engaged

May 29th, 2008

Riding high on the success of his film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Harrison Ford reportedly flung all caution to the wind and popped the question of all questions to his girlfriend of five years Calista Flockhart.

British tabloid The London Paper is reporting the 65-year old Indy star asked Flockhart,43, to marry him on April Fool’s Day and that the couple plans to wed as soon as Harrison finishes promoting the new Indiana Jones film.

Not so fast, says a rep for the couple, who on Thursday told OK! that the rumors are 100 % not true!

"This is completely fabricated and the result of a British tabloid report," the rep confirmed to OK!.

Those pesky tabloids!

Harrison & Calista are Fashion Forward

May 27th, 2008

As Harrison Ford prepared to embark on his press tour for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it was his other half, Calista Flockhart, who made sure he looked the part.

The Brothers & Sisters actress,43, stocked up on several belts by Brighton, for Harrison,65, to wear while doing press.

"She said she needed to update him with a few essentials," an insider tells OK!. "Her face lights up when she talks about him!"

Harrison’s co-star in Indy, Shia Lebeouf, had good things to say as well. At the film’s NYC premiere on May 20, the 21-year old actor told OK! that Harrison taught him how to crack a whip.
Says Shia, "Don’t mess with me!"

Shia Beefs Up for Indy Role

May 21st, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

For slender young star Shia LeBeouf, having the chance to work with megawatt co-star Harrison Ford in the film Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was well worth the weight gain required for the role.

"I put on about 20 pounds in 4-½ months," the 21-year-old actor explained at The Adventures of 106 and Indiana Jones presented by BET in Harlem on Tuesday night.

But unlike other actors who put on weight by slamming down donuts, Shia says he did it "through exercise, training and motorcycle training and swordfighting and strength training… Insane stuff.”

So was it all worth it? “I’m very blessed and fortunate to be able to work with [Harrison],”
he said.

Cate Blanchett Likes Playing Evil

May 19th, 2008

Cate Blanchett wanted to be Indiana Jones when she was younger. Sadly, that never came true for her, but she did get a great consolation prize.

The Oscar winner co-stars in the latest installment, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, as Irina Spalko, a Russian villain with a haircut so hideous it could rival Javier Bardem’s in No Country for Old Men.

"I’ve got the ugliest hairstyle I’ve ever seen,” Cate tells Parade.com. “If that doesn’t send signals that she’s the villain then there’s no point. Once I got into it, I actually found it quite liberating playing a really bad girl because you can sort of do anything you want."

Not that the actress was ever going to decline a role – whatever it was – in an Indy flick in the first place.

"I’ve always wanted to do something with lots of action in it. So when Steven Spielberg said, ‘Come be a part of Indiana Jones’, I could hardly say ‘no,’” Cate says. “I grew up with the Indy films; they’re part of cinematic landscape."

The 39-year-old holds her own against Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf in the heart-pounding, action-packed scenes (she wields a “pretty mean sword” against Shia), giving her a good workout on set. In real life, Cate’s fitness routine is looking after her sons with husband Andrew Upton, Dashiell, 6, Roman, 4, and newborn Ignatius.

"Chasing the kids is my fitness routine," she says. "I don’t really exercise that much although I wish I did. The best weight loss program I ever had was playing playing Elizabeth the Queen. The costumes were very heavy, the hours were long and you’re under a lot of pressure. I dropped more than a few pounds both times I played her."

Harrison Ford: “I Don’t Read Reviews”

May 19th, 2008

Say what you want about the new Indiana Jones installment, film critics. Harrison Ford won’t be reading any of it!

The again action star, who will reprise his whip-wielding archeological icon in next week’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, is shunning all reviews of the movie because it’s the public’s opinion that matters to him.

"It’s the people who pay to get in, and whether they are getting satisfaction for their dollars spent," Harrison says. "I suppose it would be interesting, but I don’t read reviews."

The fact that the Steven Spielberg-directed vehicle – the fourth in the series – has garnered a mostly positive response since the premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last week doesn’t change the 65-year-old’s stance.

"I don’t want to believe the bad stuff and I don’t want to believe the good stuff,” he says. “It doesn’t really matter."

Knowing how nitpicky Cannes critics can be, Harrison says he doesn’t have much to complain about since “they can kick your butt here if they’re not happy.” Therefore, the favorable response is "pretty good."

While Harrison pays no attention to the reviews, one person who definitely was waiting on pins and needles for them was Steven himself, though, co-star Cate Blanchett says.

"Steven was wanting to throw up before he went into the press conference he was so nervous about the response," she says. "And I think it’s because he cares."

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull opens May 22.

Harrison Ford Is a Real-Life Indiana Jones

Harrison Ford, who helped glamorize archaeology on the big screen with his iconic character Indiana Jones, is lending his star power to the Archaeological Institute of America.

Harrison Spills Secrets from the ‘Indy’ Set

April 24th, 2008

Harrison Ford is dishing up all the secrets from the set of the latest and much anticipated Indiana Jones flick, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The legendary actor recently sat down with ET, where he said it was easy for him to jump back in the saddle of the beloved character he made so famous, nearly 20 years ago.

"I never tire of Indy," Ford said. "It was a matter of finding a story that Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and I all agreed on. 10 years ago I thought it wasn’t going to happen. They finally had something we were happy with and it went very smoothly after that."

Although many of the plot’s secrets will not be revealed until the film is released next month, Harrison does say that working with up and comer Shia LeBeouf was great.

"He is a delight, an absolute professional, well prepared and a really nice person. He works hard and I think he’s gonna be around a long time."

For more with Harrison check out ET tonight and tomorrow!

Shia LaBeouf Gets Some Fore-Play

October 19th, 2007

Shia LaBeouf got into the swing of things at the T-Mobile Sidekick LX launch party on Tuesday.

After downing a Malibu rum cocktail, the 21-year-old “It” boy, whose skills on the golf course were honed in The Greatest Game Ever Played, eschewed the party festivities when he saw a vacant driving range at the adjacent Griffith Park Golf Course Club House, according to an eyewitness.

The Indiana Jones star sure takes his game seriously too.

“He seemed to be enjoying the female attention,” the source tells OK!. “But golf won out and he practiced his strokes with his boys instead.”
