For most boyfriends, sleeping in the doghouse would be a bad thing. But if you’re Kate Bosworth’s beau, model James Rousseau, it might be considered an honor!
In a new interview with the UK edition of Marie Claire, the actress confesses that when it comes to who gets dibs on the best spot in the bed, it’s her pooch.
"My mom was a real animal person… so I grew up with the dogs sleeping in the beds," she explains. "My boyfriend found that really odd the first couple of times he stayed over."
And just to clarify who is truly Kate’s best friend, she exclaims, "The dog will stay in the bed before the man will!"

Even A-list couples have to wait for a flight home!
Kate Bosworth,25, and her model boyfriend James Rousseau,27, recently had some time to kill at Cancun’s International Airport after their JetBlu flight to NYC got delayed.
"They were waiting in the VIP lounge," an eyewitness tells OK!. "James was sleeping and Kate woke him up with a kiss. He seemed cranky at first, but she hugged him and finally he got up!"
After the flight was cancelled, Kate comiserated with the other stranded passengers.
"She was very friendly," says an eyewitness. And how did James cope? "He ordered another bloody mary!"
