When Jason Lewis‘ character in Sex and the City, Smith, parted ways with Kim Cattrall’s Samantha in last summer’s movie, fans everywhere most likely wondered if that was the last they’d see of him in SATC.
Keep your fingers crossed: the hunky blond says he might be back for next year’s sequel!
After PopSugar asked the star if he’d return for Sex and the City: The Movie 2, he replied, " [There's] a good chance, yeah."
That’s enough for us!
He also weighed in on co-star Sarah Jessica Parker’s news that she and hubby Matthew Broderick are expecting twins, saying, "Congratulations! That’s awesome… She’s a really neat lady. She’s obviously prolific in what she’s done — she’s successful — but when she brought the kid to the set, mom would come on. She’s very sweet with children, you can see that joy and innocence come out of her."
Celebs Parody Anti-Gay Marriage Ad
April 21st, 2009
A new ad from The Nation of Marriage making the rounds on YouTube, called "Gathering Storm," features somber, scared-looking people warning others that a storm that is somehow linked to gay marriage is on its way, threatening everyone else.
"The clouds are dark, and the winds are strong," says one person standing in front of a stormy landscape, joined by another adding, "And I am afraid."
"I am a Massachusetts parent helplessly watching public schools teach my son that gay marriage is okay," adds another person.
"My freedom will be taken away," says another, as the ad apparently tries to link the idea that giving rights to one group of people will obviously make others unable to live their lives as they usually do or ban straight marriage outright.
Now celebs like Sophia Bush, Sarah Chalke, Lance Bass, Jason Lewis, Alicia Silverstone and George Takei are fighting back with humor, in their FunnyOrDie.com parody on the ad, called "The Gaythering Storm."

Celebs Glam Up For CFDA Awards
June 11th, 2008
Star power is in full effect for the CFDA Awards, held at the New York Public Library.
Fashionistas don inspired gowns as they accompany – and sometimes fawn over — their designer on the way into the gala event sponsored by Swarovski.
“Victoria looks amazing, and that’s all I really care about,” Marc Jacobs says. “Who could compare to Victoria Beckham? There is no one else.”
The mother of three repays the compliment. “What Marc does, he does beautifully,” Posh Spice says. “To wear his dress is a huge honor. I love this dress. It’s great for me. Being here with Marc is a huge honor. It’s very, very exciting for me. I’m sure it’s going to be magnificent.”
Ooh, there’s Tony Parker towering over Eva Longoria Parker, who is dressed in a pink frock. “Does she look beautiful tonight?” a reporter asks. “Always,” he says with a shy smile.
Posh Spice isn’t the only star who is thrilled to be on the guest list tonight. Hilary Duff says, “It’s my first time here, and I feel very glamorous.”
Hey, it’s my new pal Jason Lewis! Who is he most excited to meet tonight? None other than his Sex And The City love interest Kim Cattrall. “Maybe I’ll go have a drink with her right now,” he laughs, before asking the impeccably-dressed eight-months-pregnant reporter for her due date. “It’s a night full of beautiful people wearing nice clothes. It’s not really that bad.”
The pregnant reporter also gets some love from Amy Poehler. They trade congratulations on their respective babies-to-be. How’s Amy feeling? “I feel good,” the SNL star says.
Oh, look, it’s Diddy. “How you doin’?” he asks me as he plows through. He mugs with Andre Leon Talley and Naomi Campbell. Hey, here’s Lil’ Kim … I love her purple dress. And now, the men’s-suit wearing Olsen twin is chatting it up with Eva Mendes.
Meanwhile, Katie Lee Joel says her Fred Leighton dress is Billy-approved. “He always likes what I wear,” she says. What is she excited about? “Just looking at what everybody has on. I love fashion, and this is an incredible night. I’m already catching all sorts of things I like. This place is a great prediction of where fashion is going to go in the future.” And, with all that cooking, how does she maintain her sleek physique? “Exercise, exercise, exercise,” she says. “I do spinning, I run and I do a lot of yoga.”
Kim Raver’s two kids are at home tonight, but they watched her get ready.
“My son is so sweet,” she says. “He told me I look like a zebra tonight. I think it’s so great that he’s got an opinion. I love it.”
Maggie Gyllenhaal is also enjoying a mom’s-night-out from daughter Ramona.
It’s showtime! Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein wins the top prize. Tom Ford, Tory Burch and Carolina Herrera also win big.
Why Jason Lewis Loves Acting
June 10th, 2008
The Sex and the City movie is one of the biggest films of the summer at the moment, but co-star Jason Lewis isn’t letting the movie’s success go to his head.
"There’s probably more recognition on the streets right now. For the moment. Not vastly different," he tells OK! at the Don Julio summer kickoff party at the Surf Lodge in Montauk. "I think these things move in increments and I don’t really pay attention that much to that aspect of my life."
Jason reprised his role as Smith Jerrod in the film, but admits he’s ready to move on to something new now.
"I’m looking at a few different things," he says. "I just want to make sure the next thing is fun and interesting. I live my life that way. I should be reading scripts [now]!"
Good writing is what entices the 36-year-old the most and, unlike most actors, Jason doesn’t have an ideal role in mind.
"I think that’s kind of the fun thing about my job, there’s not a singular thing to it, it’s the difference of it all," he says. "You get to play a jerk, you get to play a nice guy, you get to explore parts of yourself that you don’t really get to live in day-to-day."

Jason Lewis Charms at ‘Sex and the City’ Afterparty
May 31st, 2008
Sarah Jessica Parker swans in with hubby Matthew Broderick, and Chris Noth says “hello” during the afterparty for Sex And The City: The Movie held at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.
For the first time ever, the movie studio has assigned an escort attend to my needs. Apparently, Sarah Jessica, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are here for fun only – no interviews. They’re ensconced in a private area away from prying eyes on the second floor, which is off-limits.
But that amazing escort introduces me to Mr. Jason Lewis, who greets me with a kiss on the cheek and invites me to join him on the white sofa. “It’s a little blown out of control, isn’t it?” he says. He zips his lips about Kim, but says he can see Kristin as a mom. “She’ll probably do anything she wants to do well,” he tells me. Hm, is he dating anyone now? He shakes his head “no,” we chat and he gives me a parting kiss. Mwah!
Jennifer Hudson treks upstairs, and Fergie is entertaining in a middle booth. Tunes including Jesse McCartney’s Leavin’, Madonna’s 4 Minutes and Jackson Five’s I Want You Back play. There’s a buffet of Asian cuisine including egg rolls and rice, and a dessert bar including mini ice cream cones in chocolate and vanilla, strawberries and tea cake.
“Would you talk to David Eigenberg or Willie Garson?” my escort asks. Sure.
David, who plays Cynthia’s husband, is sitting with his wife. He calls Ms. Nixon an “absolute doll,” and says her girlfriend Christine Marioni is a “fantastic lady.” Will they marry now that it’s set to become legal in California? “I believe that anybody who wants to get married should get married,” he tells me. “If you want to be aggravated more, you’ll be aggravated more. That’s a definite. Once you’re married, you become quickly aggravated.” He chuckles.
OK!
My reporter pal is sitting on a white couch interviewing Willie when she asks me a Sex and the City question a, b, c-style. Apparently she’s told Willie I’m an expert – when I’m really not. Whoops! Money exchanges hands because my reporter pal wins the bet against Willie. Sneaky!
It’s my turn. Will there be a sequel? “I think we’ve planted some seeds,” Willie tells me.
Fergie hops into a waiting limo. She’s on her way home to tend to her sick fiancé Josh Duhamel. Time to call it a night.

Stars Primp For ‘Sex And The City’ Premiere
May 30th, 2008
Sarah Jessica Parker sparkles at the Sex and the City: The Movie premiere held at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.
“The best part of doing this movie is being back with my best friends again,” she tells reporters. “The sexiest part about tonight is being with you — and all those people.”
The massive crowd gathered across the street certainly deserves the love. Umbrellas perched, the devotees wait through a fierce downpour – and every single woman is dressed up just like Carrie Bradshaw herself. Talk about an ego boost!
While Kim Cattrall strikes a cute pose alone, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon dash into the theater together.
The girls’ significant others fly solo. After posing for photos, Sarah Jessica’s super-sweet hubby Matthew Broderick climbs over the velvet rope and slinks off the pink carpet. After all, this is her night to shine. On the other hand, Kim’s chef boyfriend, Alan Wyse, chats it up. Cynthia’s girlfriend, Christine Marioni, enters an hour earlier. She’s wearing a beige men’s suit!
Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson, who plays Carrie’s assistant, makes a pit stop. She has really slimmed down. Impressive! What did she love about the show? “They talk about real things that we all go through.” And, what does she think about the new American Idol David Cook? “I love David Cook but I felt Archuleta should’ve won,” she says. “At this point, they’re both the bomb.”
Fergie, whose tune Labels And Love is the theme of the movie, shows off her engagement bling. How many carats? “I’m not telling,” she jokes. “Guess.” What’s the story behind the song? “It’s a love triangle between fashion, friends, plus love.” Wait, where’s fiancé Josh Duhamel? Home sick! : (
Here come the guys.
What was the sexiest part of making the film? “We got to do it so many times,” Chris “Mr. Big” Noth says.
David Eigenberg can’t believe this movie was made. “I’ve been on the record saying this day would never, ever happen, and it has. I was wrong! Happily I can admit I was wrong.”
Jason Lewis is thrilled to be back with the cast. “It was fun,” he says. “I actually had everyone out for a barbeque. It’s always family.”
Willie Garson, who plays SJP’s gay best friend, slides through. “I love cosmos,” he says.
Donald and Melania Trump make their entrance. Ivanka’s stepmom confesses she loves the SATC style, and Donald says the flick is “great for New York.” … Oh, there’s Jerry Seinfeld and wife Jessica waving. Hi guys! … Idina Menzel is thrilled to be here tonight. … Get this: Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams says she’s holding a Sex and the City viewing party, like millions of women around the world. … Donna Karan gives a thumbs up when asked if the SATC women inspire her fashion. …
Lauren Bush, with much older boyfriend David Lauren, won’t talk about cousin Jenna’s wedding, but says she’s well-rounded like Carrie. Emmy Rossum also gives a shoutout to Carrie. “She’s effortlessly cool,” she says. Whoa. Dean Winters loves Carrie, too. “I was Carrie’s **** buddy, so I’m biased. She’s my favorite.” … Surprise, surprise. Lydia Hearst is a Carrie girl. “Every girl in her life goes through heartbreak and hard work and has to overcome obstacles,” she says. “She is definitely the strongest of the characters.” Meanwhile, Lil’ Kim says Samantha is her type. Yep!
It’s showtime. My friend Doree and I are in row Q, a few rows behind Sarah Jessica, Kim, Kristin and Cynthia. Oh, look, there’s Mario Cantone! The movie is great. Get this: On the way out, we bump into Gilles Marini, who is taking photos for revelers. (Spoiler alert: He’s Dante, the guy with the hot shower scene.) How funny. The swoon-worthy actor dropped by the OK! office last week.
