Jen Aniston’s Ice Queen Antics on Baster Set
March 30th, 2009
It was like being at a new school on the first day of class for superstar Jennifer Aniston on Monday, as she began work on the NYC set of her upcoming film, The Baster.
The former Friend spent her day inside Greenwich Village restaurant Barbuto, shooting an awkward date scene with co-star Jason Bateman. The set-up involved the actors sitting at a booth inside the restaurant attempting to have a conversation.
Perhaps Jen was trying to stay in character between takes, because witnesses tell OK! wasn’t any friendlier when the cameras stopped rolling. “Jen kept mostly to herself," one on-set source reveals. "She didn’t talk to anyone during the breaks.”

Though some Baster insiders tell OK! that Jen is "sweet and totally normal," she’s not doing a great job of convincing everyone of that fact. In fact, on her first day on the set, she held up shooting because her hair wasn’t perfect.
"In the morning, the cast and crew had to wait to start filming without Jen because she asked for extra time to finishing blow-drying her hair," reveals one source.
And when the lunch bell rang, not only did Jen not deign to eat her Cobb salad in the company of her new co-workers, she actually had herself driven to her trailer so she could eat alone!
"Jen refused to walk even a step outside the restaurant during the break for lunch," says an insider. "She had her car pull up right next to the restaurant so she could be driven less than a block to her trailer to avoid photographers."
The Baster is reportedly the story of an unmarried woman who uses a turkey baster to conceive a child.

Hair: Easy come, easy go
February 26th, 2009
Ugh, amazing how a bad haircut can ruin someone’s day – or at least damage some minutes of it. Sometimes you get what you pay for and I got a free haircut Saturday I could have done without – yet, I’m still in a good mood today so I’ll graciously refrain from who and where I got the unsightly chop job. My friend from MySpace got a cut by the same person at the same place and is equally if not more mad than I.
When I went in my hair needed a little bit of a trim as I’ve been on strike cutting it so it could grow out. Those that know me know that I have a tendency to grow my hair out and then chop it to my chin in a fun, cute cut. The longer it gets, the more dramatic when I cut it off. Yet, this time I was enjoying my one color, one-length, reaching ‘long hair’ status do. That’s why, when I said I just want a trim, I’m not sure how I someone walked out with a poorly executed version of Jen Aniston’s ‘The Rachel’ circa the mid-90s! It’s 2009 and although I wasn’t too keen on Jen Aniston’s ‘I wish I were young again’ braid that she rocked all Oscar weekend, even she’s moved on with a more contemporary hairstyle!
I’m no psychic, but I see lots of headbands, hats and braids in my near future.
Jennifer Aniston’s Turning 40 and Fabulous
February 5th, 2009
Jennifer Aniston stopped by the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote her latest movie He’s Just Not That Into You on Thursday, but it was the actress’s upcoming 40th birthday, on Feb. 11, that seemed more interesting to the late night host.
Wearing her standard little black dress accessorized with multiple gold necklaces and black stilettos, Aniston played coy about her birthday plans, telling Jay Leno, "I haven’t given it much thought," before adding, "This is going to be a birthday to celebrate."
But off camera, the actress wasn’t quite as confident. "She looked a bit nervous before coming on," an audience member tells OK!. "She kept finicking with her hair."
During the segment, Leno asked Jen about the recent dog rescue that took place in her nearby neighborhood of Beverly Hills that was caught on film by paparazzi.
Leno held up a copy of OK! Magazine’s cover of Jen titled Good Car-Ma, telling her how "great" she looked. Aniston said the dog was in danger of being hit by oncoming traffic and that a photographer actually helped her rescue it.
"For once a photographer did something right," she quipped. "We are all about change!" The dog actually belonged to the dentist of her hairdresser Chris McMillan.
"Only in Hollywood this could happen," she said.
Aniston was rumored to have spent Super Bowl Sunday with her rocker beau John Mayer at a gathering in Calabasas, Calif. While she confirmed she did go to a party, she didn’t quite say with whom, adding, "I’m not going to lie, I went in and asked, ‘Who’s playing today?’"
Jennifer Aniston Admits She’s Bossy
February 4th, 2009
Jennifer Aniston might be busy with acting these days, but she’s also had a taste of directorial power, and she definitely liked it.
"I directed a short a few years ago with Glamour," she tells CBS’ The Early Show. "I really enjoyed the process. The editing room was one of my favorite parts of it. Pull it all apart and put it back together again."
Being the one to call the shots behind the camera may have leaked a little bit into her projects since then, as Jen admits, "I’m always a little bossy" on set.
That bossiness doesn’t translate to telling her friends "he’s just not that into you" in real life, however. Jen says she’s never had to break that news to a pal.
"I think it’s pretty clear that he is or isn’t. I have had people say, ‘Honey, I think he’s gay,’ " she confesses.
So once you find someone who is that into you, what would Jen suggest as the perfect date?
"Simple. Go to a great restaurant have a great conversation. Walk on a beach if there is one to be walked on," she advises.
If it were that easy, maybe we’d all be dating John Mayer!
Jen Just Not That Into Her Movie
February 3rd, 2009
Jennifer Aniston had to know that this joke was coming after skipping out on the screening and after-party for her newest movie. Here goes: Apparently, the star is "just not that into" watching her own work.
After hitting the red carpet at the L.A. premiere of He’s Just Not That Into You (without boyfriend John Mayer) Jen left the screening of the movie as soon as the lights went down, reports Celebuzz. The 39-year-old actress also opted out of the after-party at Social Hollywood, and hung out with friends at the Towerbar at the Sunset Tower Hotel with friends.
"She looked divine in her black pant suit," an eyewitness tells Celebuzz, "she literally glowed at the table as she talked in an animated fashion with her friends."
Courteney Cox Arquette was seated nearby, and actor David Spade was also at the hotspot with his own friends. Friendly Jen made sure to chat with everyone.
"Jennifer got up at the end of the night and made her way over to Courteney to say hello," says the onlooker, "David got up as well and there was a virtual star love fest. Jen showed Courteney her outfit.
"Jen and David hugged hello and playfully draped themselves all over each other for a few minutes. There was laughter all around," added the source.
Jen & John’s Sleepover Party
January 31st, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff
Less than two weeks to go before she celebrates her 40th birthday, <a href="http://okmagazine.com/search/aniston" target="_blank"><strong>Jennifer Aniston</strong></a> is continuing to give her on-again, off-again, on-again romance with <a href="http://okmagazine.com/search/mayer" target="_blank"><strong>John Mayer</strong></a> one more try.
The couple, who have been doing very little to fight off the split rumors that have been dogging them in recent weeks, met up at Jen’s new Beverly Hills estate quite late on Friday night, after each had already attended separate dinner parties.
Jen’s overnight visit from her 31-year-old rock-star boy-toy lasted until around 2:30 PM on Saturday, when he was driven back to his bachelor pad in nearby Pacific Palisades.
Perhaps John was still a bit sleepy because on the return trip, he was lying down under a blanket on the floor of a Cadillac Escalade limo.

Banking on David…
January 10th, 2009
If a person’s wealth is measured by his friends, as I hear Vicki Escarra, the CEO of Feeding America, said Friday night when introducing Feeding America’s new Entertainment Council Chairman David Arquette during a small Feeding America awareness soiree at David’s agents house, then in both quantity and quality David Arquette’s fortune would be enough to help fill food banks for years – and actually probably will.
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall at David’s agent Eric Kranzler’s house last night when David’s idea to have an little awareness-raising happy hour cocktail party drew not just obvious suspects like his wife Courtney Cox and extended family Jennifer Aniston, but also a guest list including Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey and Jen Maguire, Amanda Peet, Nick Lachey, Sheryl Crow and Josh Groban.
Spywitnesses tell me the party was two hours, the star-studded guests talked more about philanthropy than awards shows, nibbled on pigs in a blanket, quesadillas and artichoke poppers and were the first to see the first poster artist Shepard Fairey (who created the now iconic Obama ‘HOPE’ poster) designed for Feeding America. Before the unveiling I’m told Fairey said something to the affect that unlike all of the other ‘artists’ in the room, “I’m a real artist, like the kind that starves.”
If Fairey’s latest masterpiece, which is actually an image of his own daughter, has even a fraction of the impact as his Obama poster (which was recently acquired by the Smithsonian), Feeding America should go a long way towards making sure more of America gets fed every day.
