The Real Reason Behind DeAnna and Jesse’s Split

February 16th, 2009

Former The Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas is speaking out for the first time about her split with ex-fiance Jesse Csincsak.

Pappas, who chose Jesse over current The Bachelor Jason Mesnick in the show’s final rose ceremony, tells Extra she called off her engagement because, "it came down to two totally different people. I believe we all make mistakes in life and we learn from them. Jason, who has it all together, has everything a woman would want. And then there’s Jesse, who kind of was like a wild card…And for me, I felt like the wild card was going to work out. Someone to keep me on my toes. But eventually it wasn’t what I was attracted to anymore."

Both Pappas and Jesse seem to have moved on. Jesse is now seeing The Bachelor: London Calling alum Holly Durst. "Jesse and Holly met while we were seeing each other," Pappas admits.

But don’t think this bachelorette is crying into her pillow every night! Pappas is the new host of Lifetime’s Get Married and she recently took a trip down memory lane, surprising Jason Meznick on The Bachelor during his fantasy dates!

Of the surprise reunion Pappas says, "It is worth the wait. I believe that it’s going to resolve some issues for myself and possibly some viewers."

As for what he thought of the whole situation, Mesnick says, "Of course it threw me off. I fell in love with her and I went through my healing process. And she’s the last person I expected to see, especially in New Zealand."

Oh, the drama!

Jesse Csincsak’s Heartbreak

November 14th, 2008

Breaking up is hard to do – even more so if the nation watched you and your former fiance fall in love on The Bachelorette.

"It’s been tough," Jesse Csincsak tells Extra at Ubisoft’s Shaun White Snowboarding Video Game Launch about his recent split with his fiance DeAnna Pappas. I’ve been taking things one day at a time. [But] all the fans have been super supportive. I’ve gotten thousands of emails. Everybody basically has my back."

Making the situation even harder to swallow is the fact that Jesse has little experience with this kind of heartbreak.

"I’ve never been in love before until this, so this was big for me to go on there [the show] and put it out to the public," he admits. "I was never the guy that showed my affections to anybody right off the bat to begin with and then to do it on TV was like, ‘Whoa.’"

While he and DeAnna may not be heading towards the altar, this Colorado outdoorsman says he doesn’t harbor any ill will towards his ex.

"We’re texting and we talk every now and again but we’re giving each other space," he reveals. "Me and DeAnna both went on the show with the best of intentions. We did fall on love on the show, but things didn’t work out. I wish her nothing but the best. She’s a great person. I hope to see her do well. I don’t regret anything with her."

As for those ladies out there looking for a guy like Jesse? He says he’s ready to try agagin with someone new.

"I want a down-to-earth, honest, outgoing girl that loves to be outside and snowboard," he says of his ideal mate. "I’d want to put them [the girls] in my element… to be out in Colorado doing the things I like to do," he adds of the idea of appearing on The Bachelor. "If I could meet a girl that is into doing all those things and is honest and outgoing, I think I could find true love again."

Bachelorette Calls Off Engagement!

November 3rd, 2008

Another Bachelorette romance bites the dust.

In his first interview since splitting from fiance Deanna Pappas, a heartbroken Jesse Csincsak tells Extra he didn’t see it coming.

"I guess I would say I’m sorry for whatever I did to make you not want to be with me," a tearful Jesse said via web cam. "We took time apart…She came back to Colorado [this weekend] and told me, ‘I love you, but I’m not in love with you’…I picked her up from the airport and she told me while I was getting her bags."

Jesse says he was shocked and surprised that Pappas went public with the news today. "She told some of our business associates [before telling me]…I didn’t know this had been released today…We had agreed after she broke up with me…that we would put together a statement and have it released."

Csincsak, who says Deanna told him she wanted to move to L.A. and was not willing to go to marriage counseling with him, says he now thinks she may have been in it just for the publicity. "The only time she was touchy-feely with me was around the cameras," he says.

But, despite all of this, Jesse says he is still in love with Pappas.

"I love that woman," he says. "She is an amazing person. I am willing to work through it. I love her…I love the way she made me feel. She made me feel like no other."

When asked if he’ll continue to fight to repair their relationship Jesse says, "I don’t want to fight for a lost cause. I just want her to be happy whether it’s with or without me."

DeAnna and Jesse: Having a Big Wedding!

September 22nd, 2008

After DeAnna Pappas lost out on a chance for marriage with Stephen Bradley Womack on season 11 of ABC’s The Bachelor, her fans couldn’t wait to cheer her on towards love and happiness with Jesse Csincsak in The Bachelorette’s fourth season.

And while no couple from The Bachelor has made it to the altar yet, The Bachelorette’s first couple, Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter are now happily married and proud parents. DeAnna and Jesse told OK! at The Emmy House in L.A. this weekend that they’re not only planning their wedding, but counting on having a big family.

"I can tell you two things about our wedding: it’s going to be big, and there is going to be a lot of cheesecake there," says Jesse.

As for the location of the big day, the couple is still undecided.

We  keep going back and forth from California to Georgia to Tennessee to the Bahamas," DeAnna tells OK!. "We are still kind of stuck on the Bahamas."

"We want three kids. I have to say I want all boys!" says Jesse.

"God’s going to get him, and he is going to give him all girls," DeAnna teased back, adding, "We are going to get married first, and then we will go from there."

DeAnna and Jesse talk Bahamas and babies!

July 8th, 2008

DeAnna Pappas is in love.

If that wasn’t evident last night while she was making gaga eyes over her fiancé Jesse Csincsak on last night’s season finale of The Bachelorette (in a Badgley Mischka Platinum gown no less!) and the After the Rose special, it’s especially evident as I talked to the happy couple via conference call today. And what woman wouldn’t be in a 2.32 karats platinum and diamond princess cut Tacori ring? Sweet choice, Jesse!

Yes, they are planning to get married on May 9, 2009, as they announced on the show last night. “We picked that date because that’s the day we got engaged, and we also thought about doing it in the Bahamas, because that’s where we fell in love,” DeAnna shared.

Jesse wouldn’t mind having a few of his former Bachelorette buds attend his upcoming nuptials. “Big Brian, I would love to have out there. And Richard, Freddy and Jason.” That’s right. Brag a little Jesse!

As for the cynics who think the couple won’t make it to the altar? DeAnna responded, “If they don’t choose to believe me, there’s nothing I can do. I’m really in love. I’m really happy. I’m really engaged, and I’m really going to marry this man.” True that!

The crazy-in-love duo has plans for a family, though DeAnna shot down rumors that she’s already pregnant. “I heard that and I thought, maybe I’m putting on some weight, I’m happy and in love,” she exclaimed. “Better get on that treadmill.”

“We definitely want to have kids. But we want to go and experience our relationship to the fullest before we go and have any little bambinos,” Jesse explained. “We’re going to travel and visit both of our families and take some time to ourselves and enjoy life.”

And yes, they both approve of having single father/Bachelorette runner-up Jason Mesnick step in as the next Bachelor. “Jesse and I are all about it. We are going to be friends with Jason forever. He’s a great guy,” said DeAnna. “We definitely think he would make a wonderful bachelor. We’ll be there all the way threatening the girls and telling them they better treat him right.”

That’s what friends are for, right?

Best of luck to the happy couple!
