Joan Rivers invites me over to her home for a party to celebrate her reality show How’d You Get So Rich?, which airs tonight on TV Land. Gold plated décor and family photographs deck out her two-story residence, which is on the market for $25 million.

Many people shed a tear when Brooke Shields remembered her friend Michael Jackson at his memorial service on July 7th, but apparently Joan Rivers wasn’t one of them.
No, it’s not because a surgeon has disconnected her tear ducts.
The acerbic comic and reigning Apprentice champion has called the Blue Lagoon actress a fraud, saying she faked her grief to get herself some coverage in the media.
Melissa Rivers: “Celebrity Apprentice Isn’t Fixed”
May 12th, 2009
When Donald Trump told Joan Rivers she was "hired" on Sunday night’s Celebrity Apprentice finale some said the fix was in from the very start. After all, Joan’s fellow finalist, poker player Annie Duke, had actually bested Joan during the final fund-raising challenge, so why shouldn’t she be the winner?
But Melissa Rivers, Joan’s daughter — who had been eliminated as a contestant earlier in the season — tells OK! there’s no way the outcome was anything but on the up-and-up.
"Oh God — it’s not fixed at all! "She told OK! at the launch of John DeLucie’s book, The Hunger, at the Waverly Inn in NYC. "Trust me."
And if you don’t believe Melissa — just ask her stomach.
"I think that my throwing up before going on [to be judged by Donald] proves that we didn’t know what was going on," she confesses. "It’s like when I watch my favorite teams during playoffs — I get a little queasy. I was eating a lot of Tums last night."

Celebrity Apprentice: Annie’s friends rally for her
May 11th, 2009
The Celebrity Apprentice finalist Annie Duke may have not come out on top in last night’s season finale – she lost to sworn nemesis Joan Rivers.
But the Apprentice friends she made during the 14-week process, which raised nearly $1.6 million for charity, seemed to be the most upset over her defeat.
“I feel a little disappointed,” Claudia Jordan told me on the red carpet for the Celebrity Apprentice after-party at NYC’s American Museum of Natural History last night.
“Even though I had my differences with Annie, you cannot take away the fact that she raised the most money.”
Brande Roderick has her own theory on Donald Trump’s pick to win.
“I know that it is television so there’s reason behind it, and I do know that Joan Rivers has a new show out with (Apprentice producer) Mark Burnett, so obviously they did it for those purposes, it would be great for their publicity,” she said.
Joan is hosting a new show called How’d You Get so Rich for TV Land this fall.
Brande concluded, “Annie’s the one who actually really earned it and deserved it.”
It’s great to have your friends rally around you when you’re down.
Still, it’s hard to ignore last season’s Celebrity Apprentice winner Piers Morgan, who pointed out that—in the finale numbers game—Joan did come out on top.
“Annie blew the finale,” he declared, referring to the sparring gals’ final Kodak branding silent auction challenge.
“There were five criteria. Joan won three, and Annie won two. Game over,’ Piers continued.
“Annie’s a poker player, and three-of-a-kind always beats a pair.”
While Joan may be rethinking her last heated exchange with the card champion, Annie has already made her decision on whether the two women can ever make amends.
“I’m not interested in people who attack people the way that she does,” she told me.
It’s just business, until it does get personal!

Joan Rivers Talks About Winning Celebrity Apprentice
May 11th, 2009
Hey Joan Rivers — You just won the latest season of Celebrity Apprentice; what are you going to do next?
“Going home to eat a Skinny Cow ice cream bar,” the comedy legend admitted to OK!
We caught up with the outspoken and often controversial comedian after Sunday night’s broadcast of the season finale for the hit NBC reality competition, which saw Joan rallying her way to the top to beat archrival, poker ace Annie Duke.
“I have to go back and look," she told OK! about the final, acid-tongued exchanged between her and Annie. "I get so emotional but I didn’t want to get in the gutter. I think I got close to it…. I pulled it out of the gutter very fast."
The final task of this season was for Annie and Joan to each create a pre-party and silent auction, sponsored by Kodak, for patrons attending Cirque du Soleil’s Wintuk. They each oversaw project teams composed of previously fired contestants, including former football great Herschel Walker, Playboy pinup Brande Roderick, country music performer Clint Black, former NBA basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman, comedian Tom Green and Joan’s daughter, TV personality Melissa Rivers.
Annie seemed to have the advantage after Joan insulted a vendor to the point they quit the project and she appeared to be left without the celebrity cache to pull off her event. But in the end, the caustic jabs and one-upsmanship between the dueling divas were the highlight of the night. Rivers out-entertained her opponent with celebrity look-alikes while Dennis Rodman pulled out his one-trick pony: cross dressing.
As for Joan’s thoughts on Annie? "We’re two different personalities," she explained. "We all work our different ways.”
Which is probably the most diplomatic she’s been about her foe in the weeks leading up to tonight’s finale.
Celebrity Apprentice: The Battle is On!
May 8th, 2009
When Annie Duke takes on Joan Rivers on the live finale of Celebrity Apprentice Sunday night, she won’t just be looking for the win, but she’s also ready for an apology!
On the April 26 episode of the series that saw the firing of Melissa Rivers, daughter and mom Joan resorted to calling their former teammate names and branding all poker players "beyond white trash." Oh, snap!
"I’m no longer taking the things she said about me personally," says Annie, who last encountered Joan as they completed their final task last November.
But it’s Joan’s characterization of the entire poker community that still has the card champion fuming.
"They definitely didn’t deserve what she said," she declares. "There are 70 million of them and they are all really pissed off now."
As for the final task rolled out on Sunday, Annie says that it is a battle of ultimate proportions.
"I stand in the way of the Joan Rivers’ treating people poorly bus, and I little get a little run over by it," Annie teases.
"There are things that happen in the finale that are not in my control that she makes happen. I wasn’t expecting that."
And Annie isn’t expecting to hear words of regret from Joan this weekend when the show broadcast live from New York City’s American Museum of Natural History.
"No doubt there will be some sort of a showdown," Annie theorizes.
"Joan’s going to attack and I’m going to defend myself and it’s going to some create some drama."
Double snap! I’ll be in the audience, so I’ll be sure to bring you back all the commercial break gossip!
Celebrity Apprentice, season finale, airs Sunday, May 10 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
OK! Interview: Joan Rivers
March 31st, 2009
Comedian and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Joan Rivers talks to OK! about ageing gracefully, the NBC series and The Boardroom Collection — the QVC jewelry line it inspired.
OK!: You’re doing Celebrity Apprentice with your daughter Melissa?
It’s always amazing working with Melissa. She’s so smart, she knows my weaknesses, I know her weaknesses, she knows my strengths. It’s a great combination.
OK!: Scott Hamilton says you’ll win.
I’m strong. I know I’m a great worker, that much I do know. No one who has ever worked with me and not come out saying, "My Godm where do you get your energy?" If I hear that one more time…
OK!: Any plans for more surgery?
I literally landed at midnight last night from Australia, and this morning I went and got my Botox — because I like my Botox. I like to look in the mirror and not see lots of wrinkles.
OK!: What inspires your beauty and jewelry lines?
What doesn’t? You walk down the street, and you say gee isn’t that a pretty color combination? You’ll see something in a very fine, I go to all the fine jewelry conventions, and you go wouldn’t that be wonderful twice as big.

Celebrity Apprentice Recap: Episode 3!
March 16th, 2009
She’s back! Guest blogger Claudia Jordan breaks down episode three of Celebrity Apprentice."
"Last night’s episode makes three victories in a row for the ladies.
Tom Green, who jumped at the opportunity to put on a wedding dress, as the task was to raise the most cash selling gowns, led the men’s team.
Thirty-second-summary: Dennis Rodman and Herschel Walker went missing-in-action, and I believe Dennis was hung over after a night at the bar, but he did say that he touched a dog – or a cat – and had an allergic reaction.
Tom was accused of being late to task when he was the leader. It seemed after last week’s loss the team had it out for him.
Once again, then men seemed to let super egos take priority over success. That’s clearly why they are falling apart.
Team Athena had thousands of dollars coming in, and I felt there was no way we could lose unless something really incredible happened on the men’s side.
We raised a whopping $103,000 compared to the men’s team, which raised $61,000. We win, again!
I was still very under the weather, so I was really happy to get back to our room to relax and celebrate!
Okay, here’s what bothered me about this episode: They edited so much footage out!
I worked my butt off and so did Tione (T-Boz of TLC), and they really didn’t show us at all.
I worked with the designer to make the outside of our store appealing and inviting. I called in a favor and got an actual red carpet to be rolled out in front of our store.
I pulled another favor and got a store to donate six mannequins for us to use, and I also got a friend to get a couple models to come down and model gowns for us. None of that was shown.
When the foot traffic got low, Khloe Kardashian and I walked up and down the street solicit customers.
I had a New York publicist Marvet Britto send some of her socialite friends down, and they spent thousands.
I even went to the men’s store and tried to steal some of their customers. It was a lot of work. I tried gowns on for customers!
But at the end of the day, the important thing is that we came together as a team and did very well.
Brande Roderick was a great project manager. She got the job done without being bossy or mean, and she brought in a lot of cash.
Joan Rivers got QVC to bring in a nice amount of money, $25,000.
And Annie Duke, who never fails to get the bug bucks, didn’t let us down one bit. She got one of her friends to fly in and spend $10,000 for one dress.
This week we all got along much more. We were so busy with the task there was really no time for bickering.
Joan was gone again for the first day. It was only our third task and this was the second time she was gone! But we still kicked butt.
Please come back next week as I step up and become Project Manager. Can the ladies continue the winning streak? Stay tuned and find out!"
xoxo,
Claudia
