Despite a rumor circulating today that indicated Joe Simpson was pitching a “concept album” on which his daughter Ashlee Simpson would record Michael Jackson songs, the singer’s rep says that just ain’t so.
“There is absolutely no truth to this report at all. It is a completely fabricated story,” Ashlee’s publicist tells OK! exclusively.

What is it about the Simpson parents and their affinity for discussing daughter Jessica Simpson’s assets?
First Joe Simpson made a remark a few years ago about his elder daughter’s "Double Ds," and now even mama Tina is getting in on the oversharing action via Tweeter.
Tina tweeted to offspring Ashlee Simpsons Wentz last night, "Driving home in my GWagon with Jess…both are fast and top heavy!"
While Jessica is very new to the world of Twitter and didn’t reply, we can practically hear her exasperated, "Mooooooooom!"
Feels like buying your first bra with your mom and running into your 7th grade crush all over again. Give the poor girl a break, Simpsons!

Following a quiet dinner at La Loggia restaurant in Studio City, the Simpson clan– minus Pete Wentz–were ambushed by the paparazzi, who shot some pointed questions at Joe and Tina regarding their new son-in-law’s willingness to share details of his sex life with Ashlee Simpson.
But, as we know from papa Joe’s love of free speech, especially when it comes to his daughter Jessica Simpson’s breast size (remember those comments?) it seems all is still hunky-dory between Wentz and his in-laws.
"When asked if Pete’s loose tongue bothered them, Tina shouted, "Never! We love him!"
Jess and boyfriend Tony Romo were less eager to talk as they quickly made their way out of the restaurant into the waiting family car. Joe did manage to spit out that he plans to be "at the Super Bowl" on Feb. 1. Guess that’s one of the perks of your daughter dating an NFL quarterback!

Joe Simpson’s Parenting Advice for Ashlee & Pete

With the birth of his first grandchild imminent, pop patriarch Joe Simpson — father to Jessica Simpson and mom-to-be Ashlee Simpson — is ready for the upcoming phase of his life… well, almost.
"I’m too young!" Joe joked to OK! at Thursday night’s BAFTA/L.A. Britannia Awards. "I’m definitely too young for that, but I’m very happy."
Putting the kidding about grandkids aside for a second, Joe confessed that he’s truly thrilled at the prospect of seeing the first child born to Ashlee and her hubby, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. "I can’t be more excited," he said, adding, "Ashley looks beautiful and is really excited."
So, after having raised two very high-profile kids himself, what sort of parenting advice has he shared with Ashlee and Pete? "Hold on for deal life!" he tells OK!. "Because it’s a ride."

Simpson Clan Returns from Cabo

Nearly one week after Ashlee Simpson wed fiance Pete Wentz in a private L.A. ceremony, OK! has learned that the bride’s family–sister Jessica Simpson and parents Joe and Tina Simpson–has returned from a five-day long vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
An eyewitness tells OK! that Jesscia and her parents touched down Thursday night in a private plane at Burbank’s Bob Hope Airport. The trio scooted off to the Mexican Resort town last Sunday following Ashlee’s wedding at the Simpson family home in Encino, Calif.
But the big question still remains: Where are the newlyweds? Rumors are swirling that the couple may have jetted to Cabo as well, and some sources say both Ashlee and Pete actually arrived home tonight with the Simpson family, somehow managing to hide from paparazzi.
Wherever they are, one thing is clear: The couple has succeeded in keeping the details of their honeymoon secret. On Tuesday morning, Pete jokingly told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that he and Ashlee were actually honeymooning in the basement of their home!
If that’s true, it seems Ashlee and Pete may be having the last laugh after all!

Inside Ashlee and Pete’s Rehearsal Dinner!

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz‘ wedding weekend has officially begun!
On Friday night, the bride-to-be’s big sis Jessica Simpson hosted a rehearsal dinner for the happy couple at her Beverly Hills Home. Eyewitnesses tell OK! that the mood was romantic with candle-lit tables and an invite list limited to family and close friends.
OK! was there first when the festivities began at aproximately 6 p.m. PT.
Guests arrived in limos and included Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and Jess’s former assistant Cacee Cobb. Papa Joe Simpson arrived earlier in the day at 2:30 p.m. from the Simpson family home in Encino, where Ashlee and Pete will be married this weekend.
The happy couple themselves arrived just prior to 8 p.m. and went straight into the house. An eyewitness tells OK! that security and a heavy duty guard gate kept the paparazzi back. An after-party at the house was expected to follow dinner.
A source at the scene tells OK! that several family members from Pete’s side have checked into and are currently staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
No word yet on whether Jess’s most recent boyfriend Tony Romo attended tonight’s party, although the couple (who are rumored to have split) were seen having a sushi lunch at Katsuya in Hollywood earlier today.

Ashlee Simpson’s Bachelorette Party!

Ashlee Simpson, along with mom Tina and sister Jessica, celebrated her impending nuptials to Pete Wentz with an intimate bachelorette party on Thursday night, according to E!. The get-together was held at her parents’ home in Encino, Calif., where it was decorated with balloons, and tents were set up on the home’s property to party in.
The party was attended by some of Ashlee’s closest friends and family. Meanwhile, Pete had his own little celebration. In attendance was his future father-in-law Joe Simpson, who was in NYC earlier that day and told OK!, "I’m delighted for them."
The boys, along with some of Pete’s friends, got some grub and beers at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, where Joe paid the bill. The couple will reportedly marry this Saturday in L.A.
Jessica’s Ultimatum for Tony

While rumors and reports of a split between Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have been floating around for several days, neither the pop star nor her quarterback cutie have come forward to put a stop to them — even her dad, Joe Simpson, told OK! yesterday that he has no idea what’s going on with the couple.
However, a source close to Jess not only confirms to OK! that the pair are "on a break" from each other, but also says this is nothing new for the couple.
"They have broke up and got back together countless times," the Simpson family insider explains to OK!. Perhaps, as another source has told OK! in the past, it’s because Tony has never viewed this relationship seriously.
And now, with Jess going on nationally syndicated TV earlier this week, gushing about how she’s looking to get hitched and start a family — just like her little sister, Ashlee Simpson, who is slated to wed Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz this weekend — the insider tells OK! that the Employee of the Month star is putting down her foot and delivering an ultimatum to Tony.
"If Tony doesn’t attend Ashlee and Pete’s wedding this weekend," says the source, "she will never forgive him. If he doesn’t show, they are over for good."
