Brad: Most Proud of Parenthood

November 19th, 2008

Despite late nights, dog duty and the constant attention of the paparazzi, Brad Pitt says he and partner Angelina Jolie will probably do it all over again with more children.

"We really enjoy it," he told Oprah Winfrey today of raising Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. " It’s the greatest endeavor we’ve ever taken on, and it’s the most interseting and most fulfilling, most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced and why should it stop?"

One thing any new addition to the Jolie-Pitt family will have to get used to is the snapping of cameras as the high-profile family is followed by photographers almost constantly, something Brad says they try to cope with as best they can.

"We try to explain to them, ‘Yeah, people, they’re a little funny. They kind of like taking pictures and they’re a little weird but it’s alright.’ And like our little one said, "Actually, Daddy, it’s not alright."

No matter how the cameras might get to the kids, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button actor says he and Angie do  what they can to do proivde a normal life.

"They have their friends and we try to keep as much normalcy as we can and do things together as a family," he reveals. "We keep everyone together and that’s our rule."

Brad also let fans in on some funny moments with the kids, sharing a story of when Zahara – known as Z.Z. – had something for her dad to investigate.

"Yesterday Z.Z. goes, ‘Daddy, smell,’ " he describes, holding out his hand. "And I go, ‘What, honey?’ She goes, ‘Smell.’ I go, ‘What is that?’ and she goes, ‘Dog poop. ‘ "

As for what Brad would like to do if he could be unrecognizable for a day, his wish is simple:"I would like to tear down my fences. I’d like to tear down my gate, I’d like to be able to see my neighbors. I’dlike my kids to be able to run in each other’s yards and their yards and our yards and wave at everybody."

Sure, it’s only been a few months since Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins Vivienne and Knox, but the actress and her baby-daddy Brad Pitt are not only already plotting the next addition to their family — they’re talking about getting hitched!

“Angelina has always toyed with the idea of getting married to Brad,” a family friend reveals in the new issue of OK!. “She’s always followed her gut instincts in life, love and family. As the kids get older and they add to their brood, they want to make as few complications as possible.”

By Angie’s own admission, the kids are beginning to wonder when their parents will walk down the aisle. “We’ve done everything backwards,” she confessed recently to the Italian edition of Vanity Fair.

As for the nuptials themselves, the insider tells OK!, "Don’t expect some lavish Hollywood wedding. And neither of them are religious, so it will be simple."

Another thing to be sure of is that the spotaneous couple won’t be giving everyone a huge heads-up on the date. “They’ll wake up one morning and know it’s the right time,” adds the pal. “With everything that they do, the decisions they make are for the greater good of the children and the family.”

Brangelina and Kids: Happy Together

October 20th, 2008

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie might travel the world with their six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, but they aren’t letting their supserstar status influence how they raise their family.

"When the kids misbehave, they send them to their room and make them think about what they’ve done," says a family insider. "Then Brad or Angelina will come talk to the kids and make sure they understand what they did wrong. It’s all about teaching them responsibility and to think for themselves."

Part of becoming indepent thinker includes exploring other countries – something that the Jolie-Pitt children have come to enjoy. "If you tell [the kids] we’re getting on a plane tomorrow, they’re all all excited to pack their bags, and if you say we’re not coming back for months, they won’t bat an eye," Angie recently told W magazine. "I think they see the world as a home."

And as with any family, spending quality time together keeps them strong.

"We have such a big family, such a close family, that we like being with each other a lot," says Angelina, who enjoyed a recent playground date in New Orleans with Pax and Maddox. "We’re just happy to to spend a lot of time alone and meet new people wherever we go."
