How Karolina Kurkova Beautifies

Karolina Kurkova lives a charmed life as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels, but like Kelly Clarkson and Jessica Simpson, she’s been criticized for her weight.
How does the supermodel, 25, cope?
“You just have to believe in yourself and know who you are,” she tells me in her Czech accent. “It helps to be healthy. At the end of the day, I think that’s very important. And be realistic about your body and your body frame.”
Beautifying is her area of expertise. What’s her best tip?
“Get sleep,” she says. “That’s always good. I love to get a massage. Steam – I love to steam, it’s really good for your skin, and it just makes you look glowy and more radiant. Just a good workout – a good sweat – is always good. It really makes a difference when you have a good sweat. Your whole face changes. You get pinky cheeks, you just feel better, stronger and sexier because everything is strong and tight. It’s important.”
As a model, designers depend on her to wear their clothes well. What fashion advice can she share?
“Be true to yourself,” Karolina says. “Be realistic about what you love and what you feel comfortable in, because when you’re not comfortable in what you wear, you’re not going to look amazing because you don’t feel amazing. People can sense that. People can feel that you don’t feel good in what you’re wearing – if you feel awkward – that doesn’t make you feel good. Definitely be comfortable in what you wear, be confident in what you wear, and be true to yourself – don’t try to look like somebody else because you’re special, you’re yourself, and you have your own little style. Everyone should have a little style.”
The blond beauty can’t live without her personal blend of essential oils. Can we buy them? “Not yet,” she laughs.
Madonna, Gwyneth Share Night Out

Gwyneth Paltrow is the belle of the ball during the Valentino: The Last Emperor premiere hosted by Quintessentially and Gilt Groupe held Tuesday at NYC’s Museum of Modern Art.
But the real surprise is when Madonna turns up at the after-party held in the Oak Room at The Plaza Hotel. Anything for Gwyneth, the Material Mom would surely say as she saunters into the party.
“It was hectic getting ready,” Gwyneth, 36, says. “We just flew in yesterday for this, and my kids are really jet-lagged. My son had a breakdown. But it was OK. We got out the door.”
What does she love about the designer?
“He’s from another time,” the mother to Apple, 4, and Moses, 2, says. “He’s one of the last — it’s maybe him and Karl Lagerfeld. They’re from a whole other? era where things were made completely differently. The approach is ?very different – the attention to detail, the perfection. He’s a real? master. It was incredible to see. I had the pleasure of going to his couturier and watching him? work a couple of times. Those are memories that I will really ?treasure. It’s amazing to see.”
Here comes Anne Hathaway. What has Valentino taught her?
“The search for beauty in your life is a worthy endeavor,” she says.
Selita Ebanks admits her style icon is Kate Moss.
“I love her because she’s a genius,” the Victoria’s Secret model, who was once engaged to Nick Cannon, tells me. “She takes something that’s glamorous and mixes and matches expensive, trendy and something that’s out of the box. I think that she’s fearless. I love her.”
What’s a life ‘do’ for Martha Stewart? “Be creative,” she yuks.
Here comes Claire Danes gliding in arm-in-arm with fiancé Hugh Dancy, Oprah’s BFF Gayle King, Lake Bell, Gwyneth’s mom Blythe Danner, America’s Next Top Model Jaslene Gonzalez, Hugh Jackman’s wife Deborra-Lee Furness and Rachel Roy.

“My personal blend of oils,” she says, adding that we can’t buy it – yet. Hm, someone is dreaming of perfume deal …
What did Valentino think of the response to the film?
“I was very, very happy,” he says.
OK! Interview: The Cast of My Sexiest Year

It was a sexy feast for the cast of My Sexiest Year at the Hamptons International Film Festival. Harvey Keitel, Daphna Kastner, Frankie Muniz and model-turned-actress Karolina Kurkova dined at Prime 103 to toast the premiere of their coming-of-age dramedy and OK! joined them for the four-course meal.
On the menu were steak, salmon and lobster risotto, topped off with banana spring rolls for dessert, and everyone scarfed the dishes down. Yes, that includes the slim and slender Karolina, who confesses she doesn’t diet, and instead chooses to stay in shape through exercise.
"If your body’s strong your mind is strong, so you should sweat it out," she tells OK!
Daphna is also Harvey’s wife of six years, and while many suggest couples to not mix business with pleasure, the actress admitted that working together "is better than not working together."
As for Frankie, he’s finally back at work in the field that made him a household name after a two-year sabbatical. Following Malcolm in the Middle’s cancellation, the 21-year-old turned his focus onto his first love of race car driving and currently competes in the Champ Car Atlantic Championship.
"I love being an actor but if I had to choose one over the other, I’d definitely pick racing cars."
