Barely two months after giving birth, Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford was hard at work on the mean streets of NYC yesterday, shooting scenes on location in Chinatown for the show’s upcoming season.
Also on hand for the shoot were Kelly’s co-stars Michelle Trachtenberg and Matthew Settle.

Less than eight weeks after giving birth to baby girl Helena Grace, Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford is already back to her pre-pregnancy size!
But it was a different daughter the blonde beauty was excited to see on Saturday night — her TV daughter Blake Lively. The van der Woodsens reunited in the Hamptons on Long Island when they both attended the Super Saturday Ovarian Cancer Fundraiser.

Kelly Rutherford is a proud new mama to baby girl, a week after telling OK! she was ready to pop!
"I could go into labor at any moment!" the proud mom joked to reporters at the Third Annual Kidstock Music and Arts Festival in Beverly Hills on May 31.
"No, she’s not due until next weekend," Kelly reassured everyone, adding that her son is excited to meet his sister.
And now 2-year-old Hermés, Kelly’s son with ex Daniel Giersch, has a new sister, Helena Grace Rutherford Giersch. She was born Monday in L.A., weighing in at 8 pounds, 12 ounces, her rep says, adding, "Kelly and the baby are doing just fine."

Kelly Rutherford somehow manages to look fabulous while escorting little son Hermes down the red carpet and talking to reporters, all while being only a week away from giving birth!

"No, she’s not due until next weekend," Kelly reassured everyone, adding that her son is excited to meet his sister.
And while Kelly could have gone for broke decorating the new baby girl’s room, the eco-friendly mama has instead picked a sustainable attitude towards decorating.
"I’m kind of sustainable about the whole thing. I’m using a lot of the same things that I used with him, and it’s so wonderful," she told OK!. "People have been so generous in giving things and I’ve just been trying to be, you know, smart about it. I mean, our changing table that I bought him [Hermes] is from Target. It’s white changing table and I’m keeping it. It works!"
However Kelly has been able to indulge herself when it comes to buying baby clothes for a girl, admitting, "The girlie clothes are fun! My mom and I have been having a good time with that one!"
Kelly Rutherford Makes Terrible Twos Terrific

Kelly Rutherford is on hand for the Return to Origins Recycling Program launch held Thursday at NYC’s General Motors Plaza.
The Gossip Girl star, 40, who is expecting a daughter in June, feels passionately about saving the environment. One thing she is doing to stay green is continuing to breastfeed her 2 ½ year-old son Hermes, whose father is her soon-to-be ex Daniel Giersch.
Why?
“I’m an eco-breastfeeding mom,” she laughs. “It’s not good for everyone, but it has been great for me. In the beginning nutritionally or as time goes on, it’s a bond or a nurturing thing. I’ve heard you should allow the child to wean themselves. It’s possible.”
She doesn’t intend to stop anytime soon.
“Obviously, before he goes to college, I’ll probably have to quit breastfeeding. You know when it’s right and you’ll feel that. Some moms aren’t fortunate enough. They have to go to work, and they can’t always be there. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a mom who has been able to be around and be home.”
One book that has helped Kelly cope with her son’s 2-year-old phase is Jan Hunt’s The Natural Child, which she got at The Golden Bridge in L.A.
“It talks about how to try to circumvent the terrible twos and the teenage years,” she says. “If you take the time now to be there and present with them and listen, hopefully you won’t have such a tough time because they’re both natural phases of independence. They take a lot of presence. I’m doing my best to put a lot of time in now [laughs] and listen and be present and support him having his own mind, opinions, feelings and emotions, and doing the best I can to be present for those things – instead of ignoring them and hoping it all turns out.”
Kelly is putting all her effort into being a devoted mom.
“I think with your first child, especially, and not any less with your second, you just try to do everything right. You read up on it, and you try to do the best you can.”

With a baby sister for her 2-year-old son, Herme?s, due in June, Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford, 40, — who’s estranged from her entrepreneur husband Daniel Giersch — tells OK! about pregnancy the second time around: “It’s just as exciting!”
Will your character be pregnant?
They aren’t incorporating. I’m using bigger just bigger handbags to cover it up!
The Gossip Girl spin-off is going to be about your character, Lily, when she was younger? How will you be involved?
There’s something that starts out with a flashback or a memory or something that sort of starts it, but beyond that I don’t know how involved I’ll be.
What about the Melrose Place revival?Have the producers approached you about that?
Not at all.
How’s this pregnancy going?
It’s different. I think the first time, everything’s so new. The second time, it’s just as exciting but there are things that you’ve already explored and understand, so it’s a little bit easier on a certain level.
How are you getting your son ready for the new baby?
He’s so excited. We read books and talk about it with playdates and things. He’s really excited about it.
Would you pose for Playboy like your friend Lisa Rinna?
She did Playboy when she was pregnant! She has an insane body! I’m a realist. I look more like a real mom.
