Britney Arrives in Louisiana

Britney Spears packed her bags and headed home to Kentwood Louisiana on Wednesday to be with her sister Jamie Lynn Spears who, at any moment, is expected to give birth to her first baby with boyfriend Casey Aldridge.

OK! can confirm that the 26-year old singer took a commercial flight out of LAX and touched down in New Orleans on Wednesday afternoon accompanied by her father Jamie Spears, brother Bryan Spears and Brit’s assistant Brett.

The group then headed to mama Lynn Spears’ home, Serenity, where they now await the delivery of Jamie Lynn’s baby.

As reported on the pages of this week’s OK!, 17-year old Jamie Lynn and Casey have just moved in to a new $300,000 house in Casey’s hometown of Liberty, Miss., where they plan to raise their baby girl.

With Britney Spears embroiled in a seemingly neverending custody battle and 17-year-old sis Jamie Lynn Spears expecting her first child very soon, it’s hard to imagine a family under more scrutiny these days than the Spears clan.

But in spite of all the outside pressure on them, it was nothing but good times for the Spears sisters when they reunited on May 2 for the Zoey 101 star’s baby shower.

"It was wonderful to be able to spend time with her and just be girls again," Jamie Lynn told OK! in an exclusive interview about seeing her sister for the first time in months. "We painted our nails and did stupid stuff."

Even better, explains Jamie Lynn, was that she was able to have some one-on-one time with Brit: "To be able to be in the privacy of our own home and just be sisters again was wonderful."

Mother-of-two Britney even shared some words of wisdom with her pregnant sibling. "She told me, ‘There are going to be some long nights, but it is completely worth it,’" Jamie Lynn recalls to OK!.

As for whether or not the pop superstar will make it back home to Louisiana when Jamie Lynn has the baby, the teen star tells OK!, "Nothing is set in stone, but that would be wonderful. I’d love to have her here for that, but you can’t plan that far ahead."

Even if Brit isn’t there in person for her younger sister, the two are in almost-constant contact, says Jamie Lynn.

Britney Returns Home for Jamie Lynn

After months have being almost 2,000 miles apart from each other, pop superstar Britney Spears and her little sister, pregnant actress Jamie Spears, were reunited in their hometown of Kentwood, LA, on Saturday for the Zoey 101 star’s baby shower.

While 17-year-old Jamie Lynn has been maintaining a low profile in Kentwood since shocking the world in an exclusive OK! interview where she announced that she and boyfriend Casey Aldridge were expecting a child, her troubled older sis has not been home in over a year, when she returned for the funeral of her aunt.

The shower, attended by a few dozen friends and family, was a low-key, no-boys-allowed affair — not even Casey was on hand as partygoers showered the teen star with presents for her and the baby.

OK! was the first to report in March that Jamie Lynn had driven to a Kids R Us store in nearby Baton Rouge to register for gifts.

Britney to Reunite with Jamie Lynn!

It’s been a trying 2008 for Britney Spears and her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. The older Spears sister made headline after headline for her erratic behavior and ongoing legal and custody battles, while her teenage sibling shocked the world with the news that she and boyfriend Casey Aldridge are expecting their first child together. Making matters even worse, the sisters had to face their toughest times without each other.

Until now.

OK! has confirmed that Britney is indeed planning to travel to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, this weekend to celebrate with Jamie Lynn at her May 3 baby shower.

This bittersweet reunion will mark the first time that Brit and her Zoey 101-starring sister have seen each other in person since last fall, when Sam Lutfi was ostensibly in charge of the pop superstar’s life and actively driving a wedge between her and her family.
