Debbie Rowe Still Involved in Custody Issue

July 2nd, 2009

Although Michael Jackson stated that he’d intentionally omitted ex-wife Debbie Rowe from his  2002 will and left the care of his two kids with her, Michael Jackson, Jr. (aka Prince Michael I) and Paris Michael Katherine to his mom, Katherine Jackson, Debbie is still involved in the case.

She’ll have her lawyer, Marta Almli, at next Monday’s custody hearing, E! reports, to make sure her voice is heard when it comes to her childrens’ fates.

And while reports have surfaced saying she was just the surrogate and not the biological mother, her attorney insists that isn’t the case.

Michael settled a multi-million dollar payment on Debbie when they divorced, although she challenged visitation rights in 2003 in the wake of his molestation trial. They settled privately in 2006.

The mother of Michael’s third child, Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, is unknown.

Report: Michael Jackson Wants to Adopt

March 24th, 2009

It seems Michael Jackson is busy with more than his British concert dates – a new story says he’s also looking to adopt a child. He’s already dad to three kids, Prince Michael I and Paris, from his marriage to Deborah Rowe, and Prince Michael II, aka Blanket.

The Sunday Express cites a source who says, "His life is his children. Wherever he goes, they go, and he has said it would be good to have another child. Contact has been made with an adoption agency in Britain which has a very good reputation."

(We’re sure the adoption agency has a good rep, but does anyone else remember a little "Blanket over the balcony" incident)

The impetus for this latest excursion into fatherhood could be fellow legend and adoptive parent Madonna the source says.

“It could be that he was inspired by Madonna who adopted a little African boy but nobody really knows what kicked this all off."

Regardless, it seems Jacko feels right at home across the pond… perhaps as he mourns his old home, Neverland Ranch.

“He senses he is viewed differently here than he is in the States. Before his concerts he has said he wants to spend at least three weeks in Britain, getting used to the time zone and exploring the country," sas the source. "It is during this period that he wants to have meetings about adoption. He has not said if he wants a boy or a girl, just that it would be good for the family to have another brother or sister.”

Meanwhile, before any kind of papers go through giving him control over a child, Michael has given the Harry Potter stars permission to go backstage at his show at the 02 stadium in London on July 8, The Sun reports.

We have a yucky feeling about all of this.

K-Fed to Launch Kids Clothing Line

February 25th, 2009

Well, you gotta give the guy credit for trying to make his own money. Kevin Federline, best known as Britney Spears ex-hubby and two-time baby daddy, is reportedly in talks to start his own children’s clothing line.

According to WWD.com, K-Fed is in talks with Gerard Guez about a licensing deal. Federline made an overnight stop at the Project trade show in Las Vegas in the interest of research, stayed overnight at the Venetian and said he was looking around at the styles and was hoping to be inspired by what he saw.

"It’s a really tough business, I’m trying to take it seriously and make a quality product for kids but not have parents pay like $500 or something ridiculous for a pair of jeans," he said. "You buy your kids a pair of True Relgions, then they roll around in the dirt like kids do and a $200 pair of jeans is gone. With this economy, I’m looking to do something much more reasonable."

No word on what he’d call his line or a release date.

Naomi Watts Calls Octuplets Story “Too Much”

February 9th, 2009

Naomi Watts may be a successful actress and mother, but she knows her limits. At Monday’s The International premiere in NYC, Watts, who just gave birth to her second son eight weeks ago, told Extra she doesn’t know how Nadya Suleman, the mother of octuplets, manages.

"I love motherhood. I love being a mum," Watts, 40, said. "[But] too much. Too much. I don’t know how she would do that. I have two under 2-years-old and that is plenty!"

Watts and long-time boyfriend Liev Schreiber have two sons, Alexander Pete, 19 months, and 8-week-old Samuel Kai. The International hits theaters on Friday, Feb. 13.

Sandra Bullock is No Evil Stepmom!

January 15th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff

Like many women, Sandra Bullock, 44, has longed for a child but has not yet fulfilled that dream. Now, the actress — who will soon appear in the comedy All About Steve — will become a full-time mother to 5-year-old Sunny, her stepdaughter with husband Jesse James, 39.

Already close to Sunny — the two are often seen at the playground — Sandra takes on this new responsibility under difficult circumstances: On March 10, Sunny’s mother, former adult film star Janine Lindemulder, 40, will head for federal prison to serve a six-month sentence for income tax evasion. While Janine is behind bars, an Orange County, Calif., court awarded temporary full custody of Sunny to Jesse.

“Sandra will be fantastic as a full-time mom,” says actor Denis O’Hare, her co-star in her upcoming film The Proposal. “Jesse’s daughter is lucky to have Sandra in her life.”

The role of stepmom is not new to Sandra: She’s also close to Jesse’s two older children, daughter Chandler, 13, and son Jesse Jr., 10, from his marriage to Karla James.

“If the court gave Jesse James custody of Sunny, well… that’s her daddy. He should take care of her,” Janine’s aunt, Marjorie Lindemulder, tells OK!. “I just hope and pray for everyone involved.”

As for Sandra, the challenge appears to be a blessing. “I don’t see the difference in having blood-related kids or children who come with your husband,” she said last
spring. “I am very blessed.”

Cover Story: No More Babies for Angie!

December 30th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

They are reportedly heading to Ethiopa to add another orphan to their well-loved brood, but as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt await this seventh child, they’re struggling with the news that they may never have another biological baby, sources say.

OK! has learned that because Angie’s last two pregnancies were so fraught with complications, she has been advised to wait a long time before getting pregnant again – or not to get pregnant at all.

"Her previous pregnancies ended with emergency caesarian secions," an insider tells OK!. "She’s been told that, at the least, she should not get pregnant for a year after her last deliver, and it would be safer if she did not get pregnant, ever."

The health complications this time around could pose a direct danger to the Changeling star, Dr. Larrian Gillespie, who has not treated Angie, tells OK!.

"Angelina is at risk of having a stroke or heart attack, and because she developed gestational diabetes, there is a high risk she’ll have it again, with the child being at risk for diabetes."

Not being a biological mom again might be hard for Angelina, as she revealed to Vanity Fair last year that she loves being pregnant.

"It makes me feel like a woman," she said. "Also, I happen to be with someone who finds pregnancy very sexy."

There has been recent speculation that the culturally-intrigued couple will likely adopt another child very soon, maybe even on an upcoming Christmas trip.

"What do you think?" Angie lightheartedly asks OK! in response to her alleged upcoming adoption plans. "You think that I would tell you if I was?"

Although it’s still unsure if the Jolie-Pitts will have another addition to their international young bunch any time soon, Momma Pitt trusts how Brad and Angelina will choose the next new tyke to add to their rapid-growing famous family.

"That’s up to them!" she gushes to OK!.

OK! Exclusive: Vanessa’s Parenting Secrets

December 3rd, 2008

Just because Vanessa Williams is on the hit TV show Ugly Betty doesn’t mean her four kids are spoiled.

Her oldest kids–Melanie, 21, Jillian, 19, and Devin, 15–get used, not new cars and only if they get jobs first.

"Getting your own car is a privilege," she tells OK! at Allstate Insurance Company’s Home for the Holidays teen safe driving event in NYC on Dec. 2. "Being able to fill the car up with gas requires money that comes from somewhere. So if they can earn the money to fill their own car up, that makes them motivated to have their own freedom. It’s all part of teaching them responsibility."

During the event, Williams, 45, insisted that her son sign the Allstate contract, in which he promises not to text, drive with friends or drink–in addition to wearing his seatbelt at all times–and if he breaks a rule, he will lose his driving privileges for two weeks.

Sounds pretty hardcore! But Devin says his mom a "mix of both" laidback and strict.

"I certainly have standards and expectations, and if they aren’t met, there are consequences," Vanessa, who gave up her Miss America crown in 1984 after nude photos of her emerged, tells OK!. "But I also allow my kids to have freedom and allow them to explore life. I’m not extremely rigid, but they do know there are consequences with every action."

When it comes to peer pressure, Vanessa says, "Hopefully I’ve established a good sense of self with them, which starts in the very beginning–feeling that you’re comfortable in your own skin. They’re not easily swayed."

Williams says that while she stays pretty busy on the set of Ugly Betty, she would love to do Broadway again. The actress appeared in Into the Woods back in 2002, but says she’d love to give the stage another crack.

"The dream role I always loved was Anita from West Side Story," she tells OK!. "But I’m too old for that now. I would love to originate a role on Broadway. We’ll see if that happens."

Angelina: Children the Center of My Life

November 12th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

It’s no secret that Angelina Jolie cherishes the role of mother she plays in everyday life to children Pax, Zahara, Maddox, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox, alongside partner Brad Pitt, but the role she played onscreen Changeling may have directly inspired her reality.

"I got pregnant right in the middle of it and I think partially because of it," she tells the L.A. Times of the challenging role of playing a mother who loses her child. "I was so emotional about children that I think something in me kicked into gear."

For Angie, who says, "the center of my life is my kids," life as a mom is complicated by the fact that she and Brad are both busy working actors, which results in some tough times and big yawns.

"I woke up at 3 in the morning with four kids with jet lag and two babies," she said of the day she appeared at a recent Hollywood Film Festival Awards gala where Clint Eastwood, who directed Changeling, was being honored. "I put myself together for a few hours and go out. And then I go home. This is my job."

Job or no job, Angelina says she doesn’t hate having to come to L.A., but would rather be out on the road with her traveling family.

"I don’t dislike it here," she admits of Hollywood. "I just really do love to travel. I love other cultures. And I love raising my kids in the world. I’m so fortunate that I get to do that."
