She may sing about kissing girls, but Grammy nominee Katy Perry won’t be kissing anyone–girls or boys–anytime soon.
According to TVGuide, Perry, 24, has announced she’s taking a vow of celibacy this year. The topic sprung up when Perry was asked who she’d like to kiss at the Grammy Awards this year.
"I’ve actually taken a vow of celibacy this year…no kissing anyone," Perry said. "Just my cat, Kitty Purry."
The first-time Grammy nominee also shared that her parents are still reeling from the nod. "They can’t believe they created something that is Grammy-nominated," she said.

As Twilight mania is nearing a fever pitch, its male stars Robert Pattinson and Jason Rathbone have become red-hot sensations among the female population, and now the handsome twosome are opening up in a new interview in Seventeen.
Robert plays Edward, the perfect boyfriend/vampire who falls in love with a mortal. But with an onscreen relationship comes a few awkward moments!
"It’s terrifying," he dishes about filming intimate scenes with co-star Kristen Stewart. "Especially when you kiss and you’ve got to do it at a weird angle or something. But I’m skirting the answer because I’m a really bad kisser. That’s why I don’t want to go into details! I hadn’t kissed anyone for a while before the movie, so I’d kind of forgotten how!"
So how did the guys blow off steam after a grueling day of kissing co-stars on set and playing blood-sucking vampires?
"Rob and I both played a lot of music," reveals Jason, who plays Jasper Cullen. "I’m in a band, and Rob’s also a musician, a singer-songwriter. We went to an open-mic night a couple times that was right next door to the hotel. The first time, we just got up onstage and jammed with [Twilight costars] Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart. It was fun!"

Last week, the Internet was abuzz with alleged eyewitness reports of celebutante Paris Hilton caught in a very public lesbian liplock with sexy starlet Elisha Cuthbert at NYC hotspot Tenjune. And while the hotel heiress’ rep reached out to OK! to quash the rumors, the Simple Life star has remained uncharacteristically quiet on the subject. Until now.
On tonight’s edition of the Daily 10 on E!, Paris defends herself from the scurrilous rumor, saying, "That is not true… Elisha’s like a sister to me, she’s one of my best friends." As for what actually went down that night, the star of The Hottie & the Nottie only says, "I was with her boyfriend and a bunch of friends at a club and people just like to make up stories."
In the meantime, Paris has confirmed that she will appear on an upcoming episode of the lesbian drama The L Word. In an interview with Parade magazine, the hotel heiress confesses, "It’s true. I have no idea what kind of character I’ll be playing, but it’s a good show."

Soulful singer Chris Brown, whose new album Exclusive hits stores Tuesday, may be playing it safe when it comes to his relationship with Rihanna (”We’re just friends” has become his standard reply, though everyone else says differently) because he understands the pain of heartbreak.
When OK! caught up to the 18-year-old, whose show-stopping performance saved this summer’s Video Music Awards after Britney Spears‘ “Gimme More” catastrophe, he revealed that the song “Damage” off the new album is the closest one to his heart. “It’s about breaking a girl’s heart with another girl,” Chris explained to OK! at a recent BET/Ford Sync event in NYC. “And you didn’t realize what you were doing. Every guy has been through it.”
Even though Chris has obtained full heartthrob status now, his first shot at romance wasn’t exactly roses and rainbows. “My first kiss I was about ten or eleven,” he confesses to OK!. “I was young. It was wacked, though, it was horrible. The girl had bad breath.”
