When it rains, it pours for The Hills’ star Lauren Conrad. The wanabe clothing designer has been taking some serious heat–first for a public argument during an OK! photoshoot, and most recently from neighbors who say the police had to be called to stop a spat outside Conrad’s L.A. home.
On Tuesday, trendy West Hollywood boutique Kitson announced it is dropping LC’s clothing line because of dwindling interest.
"Sales were lackluster. Initially it was great," Kitson store owner Fraser Ross said today. Ross says he tried to get the MTV starlet to do a personal appearance in the store, but her people could never find the time.
"They need to realize it’s no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies," Ross said. "You have to keep promoting it."
Ross also confirmed that the store will no longer carry Victoria Beckham’s dVb menswear line because of dwindling demand.
Not long after the owner of trendy L.A. boutique Kitson went public with his displeasure over Victoria Beckham’s failure to make any in-store appearances to promote her pricey denim line, dVb, the singer miraculously showed up earlier today at the celeb-friendly shop.
The Spice Girl, followed by a phalanx of photographers popped into the store on Robertson Blvd. on Tuesday for a quickie 15-minute shopping trip.
So does that mean that all is well between Posh and Kitson? "Our meeting went great and I hope we can get dVb back on track," the store’s owner, Frasier Ross, told OK! following today’s visit by the British singer.
Got to LA late last night. Suffering a slight bout of PMS I was doubting myself a bit today so when in Rome…I headed over to Kitson and bought myself a pretty gold charm bracelet that says ‘Believe’ and has a fairty and little star charms. It’s Disney. Worked like a charm (coudn’t resist), afterwards I felt better.
