Mariska Hargitay Back in Hospital

March 4th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff

After suffering through a lung that collapsed twice and multiple surgeries earlier this year, it seemed Mariska Hargitay was on the mend, reporting to work on the set of Law and Order: SVU and seeming healthy.

Earlier on Wednesday, an insider confirmed to OK! that the actress had headed back to the hospital, but was unable to say exactly what had her checking in for medical care this time around.

And then a rep for the star explained to OK!, "Mariska Hargitay went to the hospital this morning after experiencing some discomfort relating to her earlier lung condition. She is undergoing routine tests and expects to be feeling better soon. Production will not be affected."

Co-star Stephanie March told OK! in January that Mariska seemed "strong as an ox" when she returned to the set.

Mariska Hargitay “Perfect” on First Day Back at Work

January 27th, 2009

Welcome back Detective Benson!

One of Mariska Hargitay’s castmates from Law and Order: SVU says the actress — who recently suffered a collapsed lung — was looking "strong as an ox" on her first day back on set yesterday.

OK! talked to Stephanie March only hours after she’d watched Mariska shoot her first scenes since being released from hospital following a sledding accident during the holidays.

"She’s great!" said Stephanie, who is married to chef Bobby Flay, at a screening party for HBO’s Flight of the Conchords Monday night.

"She’s strong as an ox — she’s perfect," she said of the actress who plays Det. Olivia Benson on the NBC crime drama.

Stephanie, who plays Alexandra Cabot, joked that while Mariska had been battling with the injury, her friends had faced their own challenge: what to send the highest paid TV actress as a ‘get well’ gift.

"You know, it’s hard to give something to a woman who has everything," complained Stephanie. "But her birthday was on Friday so I sent her a birthday cake," she said.

Filming was put on hold last week while Mariska was in hospital, but her rep has promised that she wouldn’t miss any episodes of the show.

Elisabeth Röhm Welcomes a Baby Girl

April 11th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

Former Law and Order star Elisabeth Röhm is a first-time mom!

The actress gave birth to daughter Easton August Anthony in Los Angeles on Thursday, her rep confirms to the Associated Press. Dad is Elisabeth’s fiancé, Ron Wooster, whom she plans on marrying in October.

The 34-year-old, who was due on her birthday, April 28, had picked out the name for her little girl months beforehand after having a dream of her future daughter.

“I had a really long dream where my daughter and I were talking and she told me her name was ‘Easton,’ " Elisabeth told OK!. “At the time, we were going to name her Grace, so we decided we liked the name she told me and, now, she’s Easton.”

Anthony is her husband’s "other surname," according to Elisabeth’s rep.

Finding out the sex of the baby was a no-brainer for the star, who explained knowing what you’re having allows parents to form a bond with their fetus.

"It’s such a long time in your stomach, and it’s nice to know it’s a she — it makes the relationship between us more concrete,” she said.

Elisabeth Röhm’s Dreamy Baby Name

Some people choose baby names from books, or name their children after relatives and loved ones. Law & Order star Elisabeth Röhm got her baby’s name from a dream.

“I had a really long dream where my daughter and I were talking and she told me her name was ‘Easton,’" explains Röhm. At the time, we were going to name her Grace, so we decided we liked the name she told me and now, she’s Easton.”

Röhm — who played Assistant District Attorney Serena Southerlyn for five seasons on the hit show — is due with her first daughter on her birthday — April 28. She and fiancé Ron Wooster found out they’ll be having a girl in order to bond with the baby during the pregnancy. ““I wanted to find out not because of consumerism. It was about having a relationship with her while carrying her. It’s such a long time in your stomach, and it’s nice to know it’s a she — it makes the relationship between us more concrete.”

Sarah Jessica Parker “Thrilled” for Chris Noth

January 21st, 2008

Chris Noth’s TV girlfriend Sarah Jessica Parker couldn’t be more "thrilled" for Chris now that he’s welcomed a son, Orion, into the world.

The star of the new flick Smart People talked to ET at the Sundance Film Festival, where her movie is being premiered. "I think he’s going to make a wonderful, wonderful father," explained SJP, herself a parent, along with spouse Matthew Broderick, of a young son. "He found a lovely lady to have a child with. It’s the perfect time for him and I think he’s very ready."

And for those who can’t wait to see if Sarah Jessica and Chris make an on-screen baby together, the big screen adaptation of Sex and the City hits theaters on May 30!

Mr. Big to Be a Big Daddy

November 16th, 2007 / Author: OK! Staff

Chris Noth, a.k.a. Sex and the City’s Mr. Big, is apparently going to be a daddy, as reports confirm what sources tell OK! — that the Law & Order: Criminal Intent star and his longtime gal pal, Tara Wilson, are expecting their first child.

First reported in the NY Post’s Page Six gossip column, and confirmed by a source to OK!, who says “it’s true,” that the pair is indeed expecting. The 53-year-old actor, who plays a notorious commit-phob on SATC, apparently has no plans to marry Tara, who is reportedly five months pregnant. It seems life, in some cases, imitates art.

According to a comment from Chris’s camp: “Chris and Tara are very happy and have always agreed to keep what is most personal in their lives private.”

OK! Interview: Sex and the City’s Chris Noth

October 25th, 2007
Fans of Sex and the City are eating up reports about the big-screen version of the HBO hit like hot cakes. So when OK! caught up with show star Chris Noth, aka Mr. Big, at the Esquire Honors Law & Order event in New York City, the handsome actor had a lot to say.

What’s it like being back on Sex and the City?
It’s good. Although I was beaten on set the other day!

Oh in the wedding scene?
Yeah, with the flowers.

What can you tell us about that? Are these flashbacks?
All I can say is don’t believe anything the media has said about it. They’ve got it all wrong. Who knows? Maybe it’s all a dream… [raises his eyebrows]

Are you friends with the girls in real life?
In real life I’m not even sure of their names! Who are they? [laughs]

In the show’s final episode, Mr. Big appeared to have finally changed. Can we expect him to be different in the movie?
You’ll have to see! You know, when I read the pilot, I didn’t like him. He seemed so arrogant. But it was the last line of the pilot that got me — “Abso-f**king-lutely.” Then Michael Patrick King came along and he is just an incredible writer – really one of the best – and I had more to work with.

What’s the difference between working on SATC and shooting Law & Order: Criminal Intent?
It would take me hours to answer that!

Are you in a relationship?
I never talk about my private life. When you’re in this business it becomes so precious. I don’t understand when people open up about themselves to the press – it’s so strange to me.
