Weekending With Emmy Rossum

June 5th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff

Emmy Rossum certainly loves her weekends.

The Phantom of the Opera star, 22, hits museums like NYC’s MOMA (“but it closes at 5:30 now”), the Berlin Museum of Art (“A lot of German museums have interesting art”) and The Louvre in Paris (“you can’t beat it”).

“Getting back to The Louvre is pretty exciting,” she admits. “The collections are beautiful, and it’s a beautiful place to hang out. It’s such a cultural stop that you can’t help but learn something every time you’re there.”

She likes to keep up with pal actress Leven Rambin, 18, and her favorite author Neil Gaiman on Twitter.

And, she collects socks adorned with marbles and Mickey and Minnie Mouse characters.

“I always think it’s surprising and exciting to have something under your boots that no one is ever going to see,” she laughs. “It’s like your own little secret.”

How does she spend her Sundays?

“Sleeping late, going to a very indulgent brunch, practicing piano and hanging out with my dog,” she tells me. “And my dogs usually get a bath on Sunday.”

Leven Rambin joins Terminator

June 16th, 2008

Leven Rambin is moving out of the Lipstick Jungle!

The 18-year-old All My Children alum has joined the cast of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on Fox.

She’ll play Reilly, a new friend of John’s with a quick wit and a mysterious past, the TV Fanatic has learned.

Starring on the series means a fast and furious transition to Los Angeles, which the actress is in the process of doing. But no worries, I hear she’ll be back East side next week to celebrate her change of address.

Here’s wishing you well, Big Apple style, Leven!

Leven Rambin joins the Jungle

January 4th, 2008

Here’s a scoop of hot TV casting on this cold, frigid afternoon! Soap actress and NYC nightlifer Leven Rambin, who was briefly linked with Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford last December, has been cast in a recurring role on NBC’s highly anticipated dramedy Lipstick Jungle. She’ll play a crazy actress named Chloe Jamison who works with movie producer Wendy Healy (Brooke Shields) and interacts with fashion designer Victory Ford (Lindsay Price). Leven, 17, will be pulling double duty for now, since she’s staying on the All My Children roster as well as appearing on the new series, which follows three high powered women navigating New York City’s thorny bush. Lipstick Jungle premieres Feb. 7 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
