Tori to Return to 90210?

November 11th, 2008

If Liam McDermott was old enough to complain, he might have a word or two for mom Tori Spelling for dishing about the 1-year-old’s embarrassing moments.

"Someone who shall remain nameles … might have pooped in a public pool," she tells MomLogic.com. "He had his swimmer on, but… things slip out and needless to say, we got out of there quick."

Poor Liam! Hopefully his new little sister Stella will share the burden of embarrassing stories.

Tori says having Liam prepared her for Stella, and things are already easier this time around, including losing that baby weight.

“I just kind of relaxed with it and it seemed to come off easier," she reveals. "I’m just kind of making it a family affair. We’ve gotten the family involved in cooking and working out together because I’m a working mom, full time, so when I have an hour off I don’t really want to leave my kids and go to the gym."

And speaking of being busy, is Tori going to throw some more work into the mix and return as Donna Martin on The CW’s new 90210?

“Who knows what the future will bring. I would love – it if worked out – to reprise my role for the fans.”

Tori Spelling Prepares for Baby No. 2

May 13th, 2008

There’s only one more month to go before Tori Spelling gives birth to her daughter and the actress can hardly wait for her arrival.

"[The pregnancy's] been amazing, but I’m ready to see her," Tori tells OK! at the Silver Spoon Hollywood Dog & Baby Buffet.

What’s not quite as ready is the nursery. The former Beverly Hills 90210 star, who turns 35 on May 16, is "just starting to think about the nursery."

"We’ve been working full time, but we’re hoping to have it ready by the time she comes," she says.

Tori and her husband, Dean McDermott, are already parents to Liam, 14 months, and believe parenthood will be easier the second time around.

"You’re a little more laid-back with your second child," he tells OK!. "You’re not as anxious. You’re not as frightened. They trip and fall, and you’re a little more laid-back about it and realize they don’t break."

The actor already has plans to to the extra mile with diaper duty.

"I’m a hands-on dad with diaper duty," he says before adding that his wife is "Wonder Woman."

"She really is amazing! We love to work together and have fun."

Tori Spelling Is Pregnant

January 25th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

Tori Spelling is expecting her second child, Entertainment Tonight reports.

While there is no official word from the Spelling camp, the entertainment news program has confirmed the 34-year-old and her husband Dean McDermott will be parents for the second time.

The couple welcomed son Liam Aaron on March 13, 2007.

Tori is reportedly in her second trimester, and it was during her fourth month of pregnancy that she herself confirmed she was expecting Liam, so there may be a special announcement forthcoming.

In recent months, the actress has spoken out about her dreams to expand her clan, telling OK! in October, “I hope so if I can."

Tori Spelling’s Sitcom Dreams

October 15th, 2007

Does the couple who works together stays together?

Apparently so.

Tori Spelling and her husband, Dean McDermott, are already in
the second season of their reality show, Tori & Dean: Inn Love, but that’s not enough air time for the Beverly Hills 90210 alum.

“I’d love to do a sitcom with Dean,” Tori tells OK!. “I love
comedy. We’d love to work together on a sitcom.”

The 34-year-old will do more than just act, adding that
she’d like to write and produce this future project, which she describes as her
“dream role.”

As for other types of productions — kids — Tori hopes “down the road” she can make Liam, 7 months, a big brother. “I hope
so if I can. Not yet. Whatever’s meant to be,” the star tells OK! at the Marshall’s Shop ‘Til It
Stops event benefiting the Family Violence Prevention Fund.”

Outside of acting, Tori considers activism one of the most
important pursuits she could do and signed up “immediately” when her support
was asked.

“[The best part is] getting to interact with the women,” she
says. “I got to spend the day with two women. They got to get makeovers from my
hair and makeup people. We talked about our hair and our makeup and our kids.
It was such a great experience.”

Baby Weight Secrets

September 20th, 2007

Everyone recalls that infamous scene in Knocked Up when Katherine Heigl’s character’s TV executive boss asks her to “tighten up” after she gives birth. While there (hopefully) may be no such direct request in the real world, Hollywood stars do feel some pressure to lose their pregnancy weight.

Access Hollywood anchor Nancy O’Dell admits to OK! that she was “a little bit worried” about her post-baby figure working in the image-conscious town. Determined to get fit for her Sept. 11 Access return — exactly three months after she gave birth to daughter Ashby — Nancy sought the expertise of close friend Lisa Rinna’s personal trainer, Jeff DePeron, to get lean and mean again. And she’s definitely not the only new A-list mom who found an effective way to shed the weight — some have turned to new diets while others, like Nancy, also adopted a rigorous training technique.

Actually, “atypical” may be the better word to describe hers.

Combining ballet, Pilates, cardio, tai chi and even Olympic disc-throwing, Jeff’s routine involves a lot of contortions “that work out your whole body,” Nancy tells OK!. “You’re holding weights so it’s getting your arms at the same time or you’re doing these twists. In between, I’ll go down and do push-ups, and I’ve [also] been running at least 30 minutes.”

Jeff dubs the routine “moving forms” because constant movement puts the mind at ease and allows the person to concentrate on the movement itself, thus eliminating distractions.

“The exercises are hybrid exercises, which means that you use your upper body and your lower body at the same time so this way, you fire all your muscles in your body and burn much more calories,” he tells OK!.

Working out five days a week since July, Nancy has already lost 28 of the 30 pounds she gained. She hopes to lose seven more and has also amended her diet, with Jeff’s assistance, to help her achieve that goal too. The 41-year-old has been eating lots of egg whites, chicken, fish, yogurt, turkey and salads. Rice and carbs are a no-no, so are sweets and addictive sugars, but Nancy admits to have cheated. “It’s really hard for me to cut out Coca-Cola. [Jeff] said try to limit it to half a can a day.”

Fellow new mom Tori Spelling, who gave birth to son Liam in March, has also taken on a new diet to get her pre-pregnancy body back. The 34-year-old has been following NutriSystem to lose the 40 pounds she gained during pregnancy. The diet plan offers such a diverse variety of meals that it took Tori “forever” to go through the entire menu.

“The variety is great. It didn’t feel like I was on a diet. It was convenient with the baby, and it tasted good. It totally changed my body,” she tells OK!.

The actress-turned-entrepreneur loves NutriSystem so much that she plans to stick with it for a while, and so will her husband, Dean McDermott, who started the diet with his wife. Although the two deviate from the meals from time to time, it doesn’t mean they’re not serious about it.

“Sometimes we take [the NutriSystem meals] with us and get the restaurant to microwave it. A lot of them are like, ‘Sure, no problem,’ ” Dean tells OK!. “You just have to eat smart if you don’t have your stuff with you. We call it eating clean.”

Jennifer Garner had to eat clean, too, when she got on the action-packed set of The Kingdom not long after giving birth to daughter Violet, now 21 months. “I had to get on the treadmill and stop eating doughnuts,” the actress jokes.

Trying to lose the extra pounds was “a pain in the ass” for Jen. The 35-year-old was also misled by the common belief that breast-feeding helps with the weight loss. "It didn’t. I had to get disciplined about it.”

How disciplined? Jen hit the ice with the Boston University hockey team trainer to erase those 30 to 35 pounds she put on.

The workout has definitely worked for the former Alias star. She looks better than ever and so do Nancy and Tori. But they all might want to keep these diets and exercise regimens in mind for the future. They may need them again since all have talked about possibly having more children!

Tori and Dean on Their Second Child — Chateau La Rue

September 18th, 2007

Don’t be fooled. Six-month-old son Liam isn’t Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s only child.

No, they aren’t expecting again just yet, but the two do think of their bed and breakfast Chateau La Rue as baby No. 2. As seen on their Oxygen reality show, Tori & Dean: Inn Love, the couple run the business themselves — a responsibility that requires a lot of invested time and effort.

“The hardest part is that having a bed and breakfast is like having another child,” Dean tells OK! at the Betsey Johnson Fashion Show in New York City. “It’s nine to five, two, four and seven. It takes a lot of love and a lot of care and discipline. That’s what’s the hardest, just the hours that you have to put into it. And the property is so beautiful you just want to hang out and enjoy it, but you’ve got to work because you have guests to take care of.”

Although the work is tiring, the couple has no plans of slowing down. A third season of the show is hopefully in the works and so is a Chateau La Rue global franchise, perhaps starting in Dean’s beloved Scotland. Could this be the next Hilton?

But it’s not all about world domination — Dean, 40, always finds time to make his wife feel special. "I’m always doing little romantic things," he reveals. "I think bringing your wife breakfast in bed, even if it’s during the week and it’s toast and coffee, is romantic and caring. Breakfast in bed is breakfast in bed."

And no doubt Tori appreciates it, as she also does literally work at home with Dean and Liam. "We’re always together, so there’s not a better job that I could have."

As for motherhood, the 34-year-old says is still in awe of having created life. "Just seeing life through his eyes now, he’s so happy and everything is so simple."
