The new Melrose Place will welcome back many familiar faces on the CW when the remake airs, but it seems that at least one vet won’t be sunning by the pool: Lisa Rinna has ended her campaign to reprise her role as Taylor McBride.
"We had a moment, and it was real fun," Lisa tells EOnline.com. "I’ve moved on. It’s all good."
When it was announced that the popular show would be having another go, Lisa started her crusade to be cast. She recently filmed a piece for Ross "The Intern" Matthews’ web show, standing on a corner of Melrose Avenue in L.A. wearing a sandwich board that read, "Honk 4 Lisa Rinna on the New Melrose Place."
The CW is bringing back Melrose alum Thomas Calabro as Michael Mancini and Laura Leighton as Sydney Andrews, a move that surprises Lisa.
"I just wonder how they’re going to bring Laura back, because she was dead," Lisa says. "I remember filming the scene. She’s dead. She’s dead. They wanna fool me and say she wasn’t, but she’s dead."
Neither Nancy O’Dell nor Jewel got the chance to strut their stuff on Dancing with the Stars when both were sidelined with injuries during pre-season rehearsals. But that didn’t stop the blonde beauties from comparing war wounds at an exclusive ladies tea thrown by the Access Hollwood host, along with Neutrogena and Cookie Magazine, at the Hotel Bel-Air last week.
The exclusive afternoon event was in honor of Nancy’s new book, Full of Life: Mom-to-Mom Tips I Wish Someone Had Told Me When I was Pregnant, which is already burning up the sales charts after only a week on shelves.
Jewel, who arrived with a cane and flat boots after suffering an injury from her DWTS run, even talked about how she hopes she might be next in line to have a little one soon. Guests left with a gift bag full of Neutrogena suncare products (including their new baby spf line) and Cookie Magazine swag. "Neutrogena and Cookie are such family-friendly brands that they couldn’t have been a more perfect fit for me to be able to celebrate my book launch with my friends," commented O’Dell.
In addition to the platinum-selling singer, a veritable A-list of Nancy’s celebrity friends, including Jaime Pressly, Alison Sweeney, Kelly Rutherford, Hollly Robinson Peete, Shaun Robinson, Kellie Martin, Denise Richards, Lisa Rinna, among others, came out to show their support.
The ladies dined on dainty salads, tea sandwiches, scones and custom desserts while swapping mommy tidbits all afternoon.

Original Melrose Place resident Lisa Rinna has been encouraging West Hollywood’s bitchiest resident to come back to the show set to air on the CW this fall.
“[Heather Locklear] is such an iconic character on that show,” Lisa Rinna tells OK!. “I think that they will bring her back.”
But sources close to Heather told Entertainment Weekly that she’s turned down an offer to appear on the new show. Her reps confirmed that she has declined – for now.
Whether Heather reprises her role or not, the blonde beauty will still continue to romance her Melrose Place costar Jack Wagner off-screen.
“I saw the chemistry back then,” says Lisa. “You could see that from a mile away. When I found out they were together, it didn’t surprise me.”
The couple, who have been dating for almost two years since Locklear’s divorce to Richie Sambora “complement each other beautifully,” and “have a lot of fun together.”
“I wish them the best of luck and happiness,” says the mother of two.

The dresses, the diamonds, the drama! Awards season always brings a flurry of excitement to Hollywood — and as host for TV Guide Network’s red carpet specials, Lisa Rinna will be on camera to catch every star-spangled moment at the Golden Globes on Jan. 11, starting at 6 p.m. EST.
“This job is a blast,” the former soap actress, who will also cover the Oscars, tells OK!. “You never know what’s going to happen — or come out of someone’s mouth!”

Finding that perfect glamorous gown to wear on the carpet is always a challenge: Enter Lisa’s personal stylist, Jennifer Rade, and L.A.-based designer David Meister, who custom made the 1940s inspired, tea-rose silk jersey dress she will wear to the awards.
OK!: What do you like about this gown?
It’s very Marilyn Monroe. I love the shade and the halter neck. It’s comfortable — I’m standing on the red carpet for hours and the dress can’t have a long train because people will step on it.
OK!: Have you had any red carpet disasters?
Yes! My Versace dress for the 1997 Oscars was made out of chain metal. By the time I put the dress on, I was seven months pregnant, and I broke the back! So, Harry [Hamlin], Mr. MacGyver, went down to the garage and got pliers and fit the dress on me.
OK!: Ever been criticized for a fashion choice?
My leopard Jenny Packham dress from the SAG Awards last year. I was going to go with something different, but I listened to Harry — I don’t usually. When I had it altered they made it a little tighter, so my boobs were out there. But I thought, what the heck? I’ll go for it. I stand by the dress.
OK! Who do you want to win at the Globes?
It’s Kate Winslet’s turn. [Kate is nominated for lead actress in a motion picture drama for Revolutionary Road and for supporting actress in The Reader.] I’d like to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button take best picture; it’s my favorite film of the year. There are a lot of people coming — Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep — who I’ve never met.

It seems these days there’s nothing women in their 40s can’t do – Lisa Rinna, a mother of two who is well-known to fans for playing Billie on Days of Our Lives in the past and for competing on Dancing With the Stars, was rumored to be considering a steamy photo session for Playboy. And now the 45-year-old has (basically) confirmed it’s true!
When asked by Extra if she was planning on stripping down for the gentleman’s mag, she coyly replied, "I’m the worst liar on the planet, I can’t lie, so… I think that could be a yes."
Sounds like someone is going to be practicing her poses, maybe fellow DWTS alum and Playboy model Kim Kardashian can help!
Actress Lisa Rinna’s recent admission that she overdid plastic surgery has won her some new fans.
While stars rarely talk about going under the knife, Lisa publicly said she didn’t like the look of the Juvederm filler she’d had put in her cheeks. Now she couldn’t be happier about ‘fessing up.
“My coming out and saying that I’d done too much in my cheeks — everybody came up to me and was really supportive and said, ‘good for you for being honest.’” Lisa told OK! at the Dec. 9 DVD release party for her two new dance fitness DVDs: Dance Body Beautiful and Ballroom Learn and Burn.
“What happens is when you get older, you feel like you need it but you don’t really need it,” Lisa sighed. “What… was such a great moment for me, I saw a picture of myself, I didn’t care for it, and I went, ‘I don’t need this. I don’t need to do it. I’m okay with who I am.’ ”
“There’s other ways to feel good about yourself without having to do those things. It was a really good lesson for me,” Lisa said. One of the ways she stays young now is by dancing, an exercise regime she got hooked on after competing on Dancing with the Stars. Her new fitness DVDs, choreographed by her former DWTS partner Louis Van Amstel, show viewers how to follow simple dance training workouts.
“Everyone in this town does something to stay young looking, because we know we have to do that in order to work,” said Lisa. “It’s a catch 22—if you don’t stay looking younger, you can’t work as much. It’s tricky and [it’s about] finding a good balance.
“I think we’re all looking for the fountain of youth. I think the most important thing is you can look like yourself and don’t go crazy and cut yourself up,” she told OK!.
