It was a Spears family get-together in Miami yesterday, when Britney Spears and her two boys were joined by Brit’s kid sister Jamie Lynn along with their mom, Lynne Spears, and Jamie Lynn’s 1-year-old daughter Maddie Briann.

Break out the world’s tiniest violins — Britney Spears‘ former svengali, Sam Lutfi, says Brit and her parents have ruined his life.
The ex-manager/constant companion has filed legal papers in his defamation lawsuit against the Spears clan, reports TMZ, claiming a variety of injustices against his poor self.
He complains that Lynne Spears‘ book about Britney is made up of lies, especially the story she tells of Sam grinding up pills and slipping them into Brit’s food.
As a result of the book, he claims: “I am constantly in fear for my life…” and that he was “harassed and cajoled by the public.”
He’s got at least one reputable character on his side, Britney’s sometime boyfriend/paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, who wrote a declaration swearing that Sam wasn’t holding Brit hostage, as Lynne said. Good luck with that, Sam.
Looking at Britney Spears today, you’d be shocked to think that this was the same woman who, less than 11 months ago, was being hospitalized under court order after barricading herself in her L.A. home with her baby son.
Now, with a hit single and video in "Womanizer" blazing up the charts, and the promise of a game-changing album, Circus, ready to drop on her 27th birthday, Dec. 2 — not to mention her recently announced 2009 tour, the pop superstar’s life looks like it has made a complete 180-degree turn in less than a year!
To show her fans just how committed she is to getting her life back on track — and her famous figure back into pre-breakdown shape — Brit-Brit recently posted a video on her recently relaunched personal site of her getting a workout as she and her once-estranged mom, Lynne Spears, hit the road with Brit’s trainer, Seven, for a jog on a beautiful Southern California day.

On Sept. 7, Britney Spears faced the world from the stage at MTV’s 2008 VMA awards, clear-eyed, fit and confident, one year after her disastrous performance at the 2007 awards show.
After beating out fierce competitors in all three of the categories she was nominated in (Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year) Britney not only captured her Moonmen, she proved to the world that she’s back.
But winning the acceptance and applause of her peers is only one of the battles Britney is waging.
Her next album, which OK! can exclusively reveal will be released by late December, has to be a monster hit to sustain her comeback, and all signs indicate that it will deliver.
“It’s my best work ever,” Britney proudly told OK!.
Even more important in Britney’s battle is her effort to win joint custody of her sons, Preston and Jayden, from her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
“Her goal is to regain joint custody of her sons as soon as her dad Jamie’s status as her conservator ends,” a Spears insider tells OK!.
But before then, Britney has some other planning to do — party planning that is! As the proud mom told OK! during our exclusive interview, she is organizing a joint affair for her sons to celebrate Jayden’s second birthday on Sept. 12 and Preston’s third birthday on Sept. 14, with the help of her father.
“I want to have a traditional party,” she told OK!. “I have some friends with kids who I am going to invite."
Her mom, Lynne Spears, has also been making headlines with her new book titled Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World. Although gossip blogs buzzed over supposed scandalous details in the memoir, the book is more about Lynne’s experience as a mother through Britney’s tough times, as the Associated Press reported.
“Regardless of what people might think, Britney isn’t upset about the book,” an insider tells OK!. “After a tough last year, Brit and Lynne have a wonderful relationship again.”

As the mother of troubled pop star Britney Spears and teen mother Jamie Lynn Spears, Lynne Spears has had to overcome her share of parenting challenges.
In her new tell-all book about her life as the mother to famous children, Through the Storm, Lynne shares her story of the tough road she’s been down with her family, as well as her hopes for the future.
The Associated Press, which got an early look into the much buzzed about tell-all, to be published Sept. 16, reports today that the book includes stories from Britney’s singing and dancing childhood up through her meteoric rise and all the way to her recent pill-addled, head-shaving escapades.
Lynne details her feelings of powerlessness and a loss of control throughout Britney’s skyrocketing fame, marriages, children and ensuing highly publicized custody battles, as well as her struggle with drugs in her private life, says the AP. Lynne reveals that Sam Lufti, a constant presence in Britney’s life at the time, said he was grinding up pills and adding them to Britney’s food.
The AP also reports that Lynne felt like she had been "punched in the stomach" upon learning Jamie Lynn was pregnant at 16.
After two trips to the hospital this year, Lynne writes that Britney was finally given the care she needed, and that it was a "turning point" for their family.
A turning point, for sure, if Britney’s glowing, fit and levelheaded apperance at MTV’s VMA awards is any indication of the care she’s been receiving with the help of her family.

Ever since OK! reported in October that Britney Spears‘ mother, Lynne Spears, would be penning a memoir based on her experiences raising two of Hollywood’s brightest young stars, the book has been shrouded in speculation about its content — Is it a tell-all? Or a how-to? — and now, there seems to be some confusion about the book’s release date.
Earlier today, the website for tabloid mag Us Weekly reported that the memoir, titled Through the Storm, would hit the bookstore shelves on Aug. 21, almost a month ahead of the original street date. However, they should have done some fact checking — a source inside Thomas Nelson, the book’s publisher, confirms to OK! that Lynne’s first stab at writing will indeed hit stands as planned on Sept. 16.
Now that Jamie Lynn Spears has given birth to adorable little Maddie Briann, mom Lynne Spears has taken some time to head from her Louisiana home to enjoy some quality time with older daughter, Britney Spears.
First, Lynne joined Brit at the recording studio Thursday night, where the singer is working on a follow-up to last year’s Blackout.
And then earlier on Friday, mom and daughter partook in a nice little shopping spree. Joined by her Brit’s assistant Brett and Lynne’s best friend Jackie the foursome (Britney attempted to hide in the backseat of one car) drove over to the True Religion jean warehouse in Vernon, Calif.
According to witnesses, the four women went "hog wild" at the giant warehouse, scouring the racks and leaving with oversized shopping bags under their arms. Referring to the tight-fit jeans she picked up, Brit was overheard saying to her assistant, "I’m feeling skinnier now, so…"
Insiders tell OK! that Britney’s relationship with True Religion, famous for their low-rise, hip-baring jeans, is basically the same as the understanding she has at the Ed Hardy warehouse, where she is free to roam to rows and rows and rows of clothes and pull whatever she wants.
But despite Friday’s shopping spree, it’s likely that the sexy slacks will be left in Britney’s closet next Tuesday when she heads to court for her final scheduled custody hearing before the case goes to trial in August.
As Jamie Lynn Spears begins down the road of motherhood, she’s safe in the knowledge that her mom, Lynne Spears, is there to guide her along the path and even lend a helping hand when needed.
OK! recently sat down with Lynne to talk about the birth of her third grandchild and how she plans to be there for her 17-year-old daughter.
How proud are you of the way Jamie Lynn handled the pregnancy?
She’s been totally responsible. She is an old soul and very wise at such a young age.
As she was getting closer to her due date, what were your biggest concerns for her?
We have a history of difficult labors, and I didn’t want her to be terrified and never want to have another baby because mine were traumatic. I really worried about that, but my goodness, she just flew right on through it.
Describe that first moment when you saw Jamie Lynn, Maddie and Casey together.
Oh, my god. That is one of your most precious moments ever. Just that sight. It is indescribable.
What do your grandkids call you?
I started out being Nonnie, but it turned into Me-Ma.
What kind of mom is Jamie Lynn going to be?
A very good mom. She’s warm and nurturing. And the most fun time will be when she’s the soccer mom, the carpool mom. That was the most fun I had as a mother.
You don’t live very far away from Jamie Lynn. Are you planning to babysit?
It’s too soon for that yet with an itty-bitty baby, but I’ll go over as often as she wants and help with the dishes or the laundry. I’m always ready for my phone call.

The mother of two of this year’s biggest headline-making stars headed to the special VIP area, where sources tell OK! she was a guest of the reunited boy band. Unfortunately, neither of Lynne’s two concert companions were her daughters.
