Troubled former child actor Mackenzie Phillips has pleaded guilty to cocaine possession, and will enter a drug rehab program, according to Reuters.
She orginally thanked officers at Los Angeles International Airport for arresting her, saying they saved her live.
The TV star was found with cocaine, heroin and a syringe, after acting nervous. Drugs stuffed into plastic balloons fell out of her pants when she went to sit down after being questioned by airport security.
Mackenzie has been through rehab before – she battled drug addiction while she was on TV and was fired because of it. She went through rehab but relapsed later.
Mackenzie Phillips’ Drug Troubles

After a run-in with the law at the Los Angeles International Airport this August, troubled actress Mackenzie Phillips has been charged with felony possession of drugs.
The former teen celebrity, who starred on the show One Day at A Time until she was fired in 1982 for her drug problems, will have to battle two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, heroin and cocaine. She’ll also face a lesser misdemeanor charge of unauthorized possession of a needle or syringe, according to the AP
Mackenzie shocked officials when she confessed "I’m holding," meaning drugs, after failing a security screening. Heroin and cocaine allegedly fell from inside her pants, and she was arrested. According to the police report of the incident, she also responded "No, I am healthy except for my drug problem," when asked about any health issues she may have.
TMZ also is reporting that the 48-year-old actress has checked into rehab, her 10th attempt at getting sober once and for all.
Valerie Bertinelli on Mackenzie’s Arrest

Mackenzie Phillips’s former co-star on One Day at a Time, Valerie Bertinelli, is opening up about the actress’s drug bust.
Valerie tells ET, "Mackenzie is a very good, good, sweethearted woman who obviously is going through an amazingly difficult time. She doesn’t need our judgement, she just needs our prayers."
Bertinelli continues, "We both have an incredible amount of faith in Mack. Mack is strong, a wonderfully strong woman."
Even though the two haven’t worked together in years, Valerie says she has nothing but the warmest regards for her TV big sis. " I love her to death," she says. "She knows how much I love her and I’m always there for her, always."

’70s TV star Mackenzie Phillips is in police custody after she was arrested at LAX for allegedly trying to take heroin and cocaine through aiport screening.
Officers say Phillips, 48, was being screened by TSA this morning around 10 a.m. PT when some baggies and balloons believed to contain heroin and cocaine were recovered.
The One Day at a Time star has had a long history of drug abuse, but overcame her addictions in 1992. In recent years, she’s spoken openly about her struggle to stay sober and has made guest appearances on shows like Crossing Jordan, 7th Heaven and Beverly Hills, 90210, where she played a drug intervention counselor.
Her father, the late John Phillips, was a member of the 60’s band The Mamas and the Papas.
