Evan Rachel Wood Denies Romance with Mickey Rourke

Evan Rachel Wood is once again denying rumors that she’s romantically involved with her The Wrestler co-star Mickey Rourke. Especially now that the movie is getting so much Oscar buzz, the actress says she’s sick of the focus being taken away from the film and placed on insignificant tabloid reports.
"I’m upset because I feel disrespected by the press and by Mr. Rourke," Evan tells Rolling Stone. "Just because I’m single doesn’t mean that you can take advantage of me. It’s unfair that the performances might suffer because of all of these distractions."
Wood, 21, who previously dated rocker Marilyn Manson, says there’s absolutely nothing going on with the 52-year-old Rourke.
"He’s too old for me. Nothing ever happened and nothing ever will," she affirms.

In the continuing real-life soap, The Young and the Wrestler, revolving around 21-year-old Evan Rachel Wood and her 56-year-old leading man, Mickey Rourke, it seems the co-stars are certainly heating things up offscreen, despite their protestations of friendship.
PopTarts reports that the duo were spotted in a lip-lock at the Four Seasons Hotel in L.A. after the SAG Awards on Sunday night. Evan, who played Mickey’s daughter in The Wrestler (ew, ew) and her significantly older man have denied relationship rumors ever since they began working together, saying their interest in each other is far from romantic.
However Evan seems to have a hankering for older men – she just split with rocker Marilyn Manson, 19 years her senior, in December. Mickey is more than double her age, but who are we to judge?
Evan Rachel Wood: I Hate The Gym

Evan Rachel Wood is moving on after the demise of her relationship with Marilyn Manson.
Looking fierce is part of her strategy.
When we meet on a cold winter’s day in NYC, The Wrestler star, 21, is donning green nails. “It’s Emerald City,” she tells me. “I saw Cabaret, and I was like ‘I want those.’”
After splurging on pickles and whipped cream during the holidays, Evan tells me although she gained weight during the season, she doesn’t feel bad about it because she’s stayed active.
“I take ballet, do pilates and yoga,” she tells me. “I’m lucky. People say I have the metabolism of a hummingbird. I was born and raised in North Carolina, so I’m all about fried everything and carbs. That’s what I do.”
She shies away from the typical treadmill routine.
“I go to dance class. I like that. I hate the gym. I can’t do that. I have to be doing something fun and interesting.”
Moving forward, Evan is attracted to “personality and aura.”
Evan Rachel Wood Not Dating Mickey Rourke

Evan Rachel Wood may have dated a man nearly twenty years her senior (she’s 21, ex Marilyn Manson is 39) but as far as those rumors that she and The Wrestler co-star Mickey Rourke are an item? Not true she says.
"Blame Mickey for that one, Wood tells Parade.com. "He pulled an Adrien Brody on me. At the premiere, I went to kiss his cheek and Mickey kissed me full on the mouth. In that split second, 500 cameras went off!"
Wood, who plays Rourke’s daughter in The Wrestler, says she definitely bonded with her much older co-star, but says rumors of a romance are way off base.
"My boyfriend at the time really loved that," she jokes. "Mickey and I are very close, but it’s not romantic. It’s like we’re father and daughter."
Marilyn Manson is Moving On

Marilyn Manson seems to be moving with lightning speed, scooping up a new dark-haired galpal just a month after splitting with Evan Rachel Wood.
The pale rocker was seen out and about on Wednesday night with a lovely lady named Isani (who could be a dead ringer for either Dita Von Teese or Evan Rachel), kissing and cuddling with at Louis Bar-Lounge at the Gansevoort South for his Art Basel party in Miami’s South Beach.
The night before going officially public at Louis the lovebirds had a more low key date night at Asia de Cuba in the famed newly opened Mondrian hotel. Marilyn knows how to impress the girl of his dreams, a fellow diner tells OK!, “He even brought his own absinthe!” After a quick dinner Marilyn was seen having cocktails at the Sunset lounge to keep them occupied before heading back to their own hotel and getting a good nights rest.
Don’t expect Evan Rachel to be boo-hooing over her ex’s swift turnabout, however: the 21-year-old actress recently said she’s doing just fine.

Evan Rachel Wood is definitely holding her head high after her breakup with Marilyn Manson.
The pair began dating in December 2006 – and even got matching black heart tattoos. Their breakup was announced last month.
“It happens,” the 21-year-old actress said at the Gotham Independent Film Awards held in NYC Tuesday. “I feel a lot better now than I thought I was going to. It was hard at first, but I’ve kept my chin up and it’s just fun now. I only have to answer to myself, and it’s great.”
With her 39-year-old beau out of her life, she’s reconnected with the original man in her life – her father, Ira. Inspired by her role as a bitter daughter in The Wrestler, Evan re-established a relationship with her dad. They spent Thanksgiving together in North Carolina (“I was really bad – I was dipping pickles in whipped cream!”) and plan to see each other for Christmas.
“I was separated from my dad for most of my life, but we forgave each other for whatever had happened,” she tells OK! “It’s huge for me. He’s been the most supportive dad. No matter what has happened, he’s always been there. And especially right now – he’s been so great. He really helped me out. Making The Wrestler was like getting paid to go to therapy.”
Forgiveness doesn’t necessarily apply to ex-boyfriends, though.

After a top-secret ceremony in the Canadian wilderness, Scarlett Johansson, 24, and husband Ryan Reynolds, 32, are planning the second stage of their intimate “I do’s.”
The low-key couple, who tied the knot at Clayoquot Wilderness Resort near Vancouver on Sept. 27, are holding a reception for their family and friends in the U.S.
“Scarlett wants something simple and classic,” a source tells OK!. “They’ve agreed on 150 guests, but it won’t be over the top.”
