Martha Stewart Gives Turkey Day Tips

Martha Stewart impresses during the Royal Gala, held at NYC’s Waldorf=Astoria. Just in time for Thanksgiving, the domestic doyenne turns on the charm when asked for holiday meal suggestions.

“Be organized,” the Martha host, 67, tells me. “Otherwise you’re going to make a mess of it. And I think most people make a mess of it if they’re not organized. And have good recipes. Test them out before you try and serve them to a big group.”

She mugs with Russell Simmons before Brittany Snow, Terrence Howard, Mario, Sean Kingston and Paulina Porizkova strut through.

Here’s gracious Dr. Drew Pinsky, who gets cagey when asked what star should next appear on his VH1 reality show Celebrity Rehab. “If I find someone who needs treatment, I have to treat them then,” he tells me. “I can’t say ‘hey, wait ‘til we start filming in two months.’ We’ve had to put a few people in psychiatric hospitals.”

Dr. Ruth quips she’d like royalty to “buy” her as she is up for auction, but refuses to name Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie – or anyone – as the sexiest celebrity couple.  

“You know why?” the diminuitive doctor, 80, begins. “For me, sex is up in the brain. It’s not only the gorgeous-looking guy or the beautiful woman. It has to be somebody who can have a conversation where there’s some intellect.”

DWTS Watch: Mario Eliminated

Talk about adding insult to injury — On Tuesday night, R & B singer Mario was the latest celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, and this comes after judge Len Goodman told him he had ugly feet!

But the good-natured performer, 21, had nothing but positive things to say after he had to take his feet and walk away from the hit ABC reality show.

Mario told OK! it was particularly important to him to mention at the end of the show how he felt about the troops in Iraq. “It was a chance… for me to tell the world how I felt as a young person," he explained. "We are the future — even kids younger than me, they are the future. There are a lot of admirable people fighting for this country and we should definitely acknowledge that, too.”

His pro dance partner, Karina Smirnoff, said of Mario, “He is a class act. Humble and he always took the high road. He was more my inspiration and example.”

Next up for Mario is a concert tour and album. “I am working on a new project that should be done this summer and I’m looking to have a new single out by the end of the year," he says.

And that’s not the end of Mario’s long-term ambitions: "Films, anything I can get my hands on — I am going hard, man — I never stop. I have a lot of stuff going on and love to express myself in different ways so you will definitely see more of me.”

Karina said that after the judges’ harsh comments, she knew it would be the end for the couple most considered to be the sexiest in the competition. “I wasn’t disappointed," she explains. "I pretty much knew how it was going to happen. I didn’t want it to happen, but I predicted it.”

The pair had been rumored to be romantically linked earlier in the season, but they have continued to strenuously deny those reports. Karina, who has been close to actor Mario Lopez since he was also her partner on the show, laughed jokingly about Mario the singer, “We will pretty much move in together.”

On a more serious note, she added, “I will miss his attitude, always positive, strong minded but always kind. Oh, and him licking his lips — That is my favorite thing he ever did.”

After Mario’s elimination, DWTS celebrated its 100th episode on Tuesday night with a party at the Hollywood Club The Day After.

Tony Dovolani, who has appeared on 94 of the 100 episodes and has taken his current partner, Marissa Jaret Winokur, to the semifinals this season, told OK! why the show has had such longevity: “This is the greatest show on TV because everybody enjoys it—kids, adults, senior citizens.”

Karina & Mario “Laugh” at Dating Rumors

It takes two to tango, but three to start a rumor!

A week after rumors flew that Dancing With the Stars partners Karina Smirnoff and R&B singer Mario are dating, the couple are still out debunking the reports.

“No [we’re not dating],” 21-year-old Mario tells Extra following their Monday night tango.

But that doesn’t mean the two aren’t having a light-hearted laugh at all the talk.

“We laugh at that. At least they think he’s cute enough and that I’m not too old for him,” Karina, 30, says. “That’s not a bad thing.”

Also not a bad thing is igniting some passion and sparks during the dance for NFL star Jason Taylor and his partner Edyta Sliwinska. The Miami Dolphins linebacker’s wife, Katina, encourages her husband to turn up the heat on the dance floor with Edyta.

“I tell him he’s got to look at her [with desire],” Katina says. “It’s acting. They’re dancing. We’re married seven years and three kids. We’re good.”

Karina Shrugs Off Mario Romance Rumors

Today the internet was abuzz with rumors that DWTS dancer, and Mario Lopez paramour, Karina Smirnoff was getting romantic with her new partner, the singer coincidentally named Mario.

The New York Post’s Page Six gossip column first reported that the two were spied smooching at a Mercedes-Benz Oscar viewing party at the Four Seasons hotel in L.A. in February. But Karina now wants to set the record straight.

"We have a completely professional relationship," She tells OK!. "I have a lot of respect for Mario, he is a great person, but there is nothing there, just a VERY professional relationship, that is all."

So it seems the only Mario, romantically at least, in Karina’s life is Mr. Lopez, the Extra correspondent and former Saved By the Bell star. Got it?

Mario and Chris Rock: Twins 21 years apart?!

: 4146Being Mario isn’t easy because he’s often mistaken for Chris Rock — even though the singer/actor is 21 and the comedian is 42!

“I’ve been on airplanes before and stewardesses will wake me up and be like ‘can I get your autograph before you get off the plane? I’m a really big fan of yours and I loved your show last night,’” Mario tells me. “I’m like ‘I didn’t perform last night.’ And they’ll be like ‘I saw your show on MTV.’ And I’ll be like ‘that wasn’t me.’ ‘Aren’t you Chris Rock?’ ‘No, I’m not Chris Rock.’”

Celebs pop up for La Dolce Vita

Just before Aretha Franklin performs songs including R.E.S.P.E.C.T. and Natural Woman and we nosh on beef with potatoes and string beans, the stars stop to chat.

“I am a huge Aretha Franklin fan,” Natasha gushes. “I listened to her music like crazy growing up. Hopefully I’ll get to meet her but even to see her sing live is amazing.” Read more »
