OK! Exclusive: Sam Bars Lindsay from Party

April 4th, 2009

It looks like Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson’s latest break-up might just be the real thing.

There was major drama in L.A. late Friday night at Bar Marmont, where Sam was DJ-ing at a party for her fashion designer sister, Charlotte Ronson’s I Heart Ronson clothing line for JCPenney. It all started when Lindsay tried to get into the party, only to be held back at the door by five bouncers!

Sources tell OK! the doormen were apparently under strict instructions from the Ronson family to look out for Lindsay and not to let her in under any circumstances.

The party officially ended at 11pm on Friday, but an hour later, Sam was still spinning records inside, while Charlotte, their brother Mark — whose band played an hour-long set at the event — and their mom, Ann Dexter Jones partied on.

Before Lindsay’s arrival at the event, an insider told OK! that the Ronsons had gone out of their way to insure she wouldn’t be able to get inside. "Unless Lindsay rams a truck through the red carpet or skydives in, she won’t be here," revealed the source.

But just as expected, Linds still showed up, only to be "restrained from coming in by five security guards," according to an onlooker.

"Lindsay knew she was unwanted, but came anyway, to no avail," said another source.

Judging by her behavior inside the event, Sam was completely fine being in a No-Lohan zone. "She looked like she was in a great mood," one witness tells OK!.

While LiLo couldn’t get beyond the guardians at the gate, other celebs, including Nicole Richie, Molly Sims, Sting and Jewel, had no problem getting into the event. Even Paris Hilton was welcome. The celebutante arrived around 10:15pm on the arm of her boy-toy Doug Reinhardt. "She really seemed to be glowing!" one partygoer tells OK!.

It was a second night in row that Lindsay had displayed some odd and seemingly unwelcome behavior.

On April 2, also in L.A., she suddenly popped up onstage in the middle of pal Lily Allen’s show — only to be all but ignored by the British pop star.

Amy Winehouse on Terrorist Hit List

January 9th, 2009

As the conflict in Gaza rages on, Islamic extremists are turning their hate to Western nations and their Jewish citizens, naming several prominent Brits on "a list of those who support Israel.

U.K. paper The Sun reports that a member on an extremist site asks for help compiling a list, while another asks for addresses and info for "top Jews" to target. Among the celebs on the online forum Ummah that are listed: Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and the star of Britain’s The Apprentice, Sir Alan Sugar.

British anti-terror expert Glen Jenvey fears that the list is far from harmless. “The Ummah website has been used by extremists. Those listed should treat it very seriously. Expect a hate campaign and intimidation by 20 or 30 thugs.”

Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar encouraged his followers to commit violence, saying Israel “legitimized the killing of their people all over the world."

The Community Security Trust, which advises Britain’s Jewish community on safety, said: “We are advising prominent Jewish individuals to be conscious of potential threats.”

Mischa Barton: Eyeing Josh Hartnett?

September 16th, 2008

Does Mischa Barton have her sights set on Josh Hartnett?

According to Britain’s MailOnline, when the OC star spotted him at a table in a London nightclub last night with Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill, she danced her way right through a pack of girls all trying to catch Josh’s eye to get to him.

The site quotes a source at the club as saying: "Josh looked pretty bored and was totally ignoring Mischa. She persisted though, and kept getting closer and closer to their table while dancing provocatively.

"Lots of girls were trying to get near their table, where the two guys were drinking champagne and vodka cocktails. Mischa had a lot to contend with, but didn’t give up."

Apparently the actress, who recently split with Rooney singer Taylor Locke after a seven month relationship, finally managed to strike up a conversation with the handsome Pearl Harbor actor.

Things seem to have gone pretty well, too, since it seems that the pair then headed back to his hotel at around 1.30am with a group of friends – only for Mischa to leave an hour or so later.

But if she’s hoping for another invitation, Mischa may have her work cut out for her.

The site also reports that Josh, who’s in the city performing in a stage version of the movie Rain Man, has been seen "getting cozy" with model Daisy Lowe, who only just split with producer Mark Ronson last week!

Mark Ronson Splits With Girlfriend

September 15th, 2008

While Sam Ronson and Lindsay Lohan seem to be more in love every day, Sam’s brother Mark hasn’t been quite so lucky.

Rumors have been flying around for a couple of days that the super producer has split with his gorgeous 19-year-old model girlfriend Daisy Lowe.

But now Daisy’s rep has confirmed to Britain’s Daily Mirror that their six month relationship is over.

Apparently the two started bickering over something small last week in New York, but the argument boiled over and they ended up finishing things there and then.

The paper quotes a friend of the couple as saying: "They were just having a row but it got quite heated and Daisy shouted at Mark that she’d had enough and was leaving him. Mark just said ‘Fine, leave’.

"They have had no contact since."

A rep for Daisy confirmed the sad news to the Mirror.

"Yes it’s true. They’ve split," she said.

"But it’s a private matter between Daisy and Mark and there is nothing more to add."

Daisy and Mark, who has produced hits for Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, had been together since April.

The Ronsons on Lindsay Lohan

August 12th, 2008

Super siblings Mark, Samantha and Charlotte Ronson are opening up about talent, the tabloids and Ms. Lindsay Lohan.

In a new interview with Harpers Bazaar, the London-born rock aristocrats reveal what it’s like to be in a famous family, and how they deal with intense media scrutiny.

"I stay away from the tabloids," Samantha, 31, tells the magazine. "I don’t feel that I should personally have to defend myself to a magazine that I’m not a drug addict. I don’t do drugs. I don’t sell pictures of my friends."

Sam’s older brother is used to the crush. Mark Ronson, 32, is a highly acclaimed music producer who won three Grammy Awards this past winter, in part for his production of Amy Winehouse’s album Back to Black. The two later parted ways; a falling out that Ronson hints may have had something to do with Winehouse’s drug use.

"At the time, it was hard to get some work done," he says diplomatically. "But she’s been in the clinic. I’ve been to visit a few times, and she just looks amazing."

Samantha, who is recognized as a celebrity DJ, is sought after by nightclubs from L.A. to Mumbai. But it’s her friendship with Lohan that has catapulted her into the spotlight.

"I’m not going to talk about Lindsay because she’s my friend, you know?" she says. "She’s great. She’s also 22 years old. I think people forget that. With the Internet the way it is, one second we’re enemies, one second we’re best friends, one second we’re lovers, and then we’re broken up."

Samantha says it’s hard fending off the questions about her personal life. Recently she changed her Facebook profile status to "in a relationship" setting off rumors that she and Lohan were dating.

"Even the airport-security guy in Canada asked me, ‘So is it true?’" she laughs. "It’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, I’m telling you!’"

Twin sister Charlotte adds, "The funniest thing was, I bought a bunch of those tabloid magazines and didn’t even notice that Samantha was on the cover of one."

In an email to Harpers, Lindsay wrote, "I love the Ronsons. They’re close to me and I respect all the work they do. Samantha and my relationship is a private matter."

Charlotte, who designs clothing and counts Kate Moss and Gwen Stefani as clients, says she’d rather see the paparazzi used for a more practical purpose.

"When Samantha is walking around and all of the paparazzi are shooting her, I should have her wear a T-shirt that says, "Wear Charlotte Ronson" on the front. And on the back, it could say, And Leave Me Alone," she jokes.

Winehouse to Renew Wedding Vows In Jail

June 16th, 2008

Her friends says that he uses mind games to manipulate her, and just last week it was claimed in court that he tried to pay off his assualt victim with nearly $400,000 of her money.

Yet Amy Winehouse wants to show the world that she’s sticking by her jailbird beau Blake Fielder Civil by renewing her marriage vows to him, reports Britain’s Daily Star.

Since their wedding in Miami just 13 months ago, the groom has been sent to jail and there have already been rumors that both of them have had affairs.

Amy, 24, was said to be cozying up to her manager’s assistant, Alex Haines, and was spotted out with her producer Mark Ronson.

Meanwhile, there were whispers that Blake, 25, had been getting close with with an old friend, Sarah Thomas, said to have been his ‘rock’ through the tough times.

Now sources close to Blake’s family tell the paper that they want to put all that behind them by renewing their vows just a year after they first took them — even though they’ll have to do it in jail.

“It’s been a hard time for everyone concerned," said their source, "but we are sure that they will get through it as a couple.

“In a bid to show the world that she is standing by Blake, [Amy] is looking into renewing her wedding vows – and she doesn’t care if it has to be done behind bars.

“She is totally committed to him – and he to her.”

Amy Gets Bullet From Bond

June 13th, 2008

It looks like Amy Winehouse has lost out on one of the most prestigious gigs in music to her fellow Brit Leona Lewis.

Amy, 24, was all set to follow in the footsteps of  Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey and Madonna by becoming one of the select few to record a Bond theme tune.

But movie bosses decided to ditch the troubled star after studio sessions with producer Mark Ronson last month came up with nothing, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.

“I’m not sure Amy is ready to work on music yet,” Mark is reported to have said at the time.

Now Leona, 23, whose debut single and album have gone to Number One on both sides of the Atlantic, looks likely to cut the theme for Quantum of Solace, starring Daniel Craig.

“It looks like Leona has finally won the race," a source told the paper.

“She is seen as one of the few candidates who has the right profile both sides of the pond to do it.

“Amy was their original choice but she just can’t get her act together and hasn’t got the right image."
