It’s been an up and down summer for country superstars the Dixie Chicks. First came the good news in July that Martie Maguire had given birth to her third child. And now comes the bad news — it has been confirmed that Martie’s bandmate and sister Emily Robison and her husband of nine years, country singer Charlie Robison, are divorced.
According to the San Antonio Express-News, the couple filed for divorce in January and the order was finalized yesterday at the Bexar County Courthouse in Texas.
A statement released by Charlie’s rep says that the former couple, "remain close friends and their family is the priority and will continue to be."
Documents filed with the court claim that the marriage had "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."
Charlie and Emily were married on May 1, 1999. They have three children together — Charles "Gus" Augustus, 5, and 3-year-old twins Julianna Tex and Henry Benjamin.

Another Chick has hatched!
Dixie Chicks member Martie Maguire has given birth to a daughter. Harper Rosie Maguire arrived Friday morning in Austin, weighing 7 lbs, 10 oz and measuring 20.5 inches long, a rep for the musician confirms to OK!.
"Martie is doing very well and Gareth and the family are over the moon," her rep tells OK!.
She is the third child for Martie and her husband Gareth. Twin sisters Kathleen and Eva are 4. Open about her fertility issues, the 38-year-old singer conceived both pregnancies via in vitro fertilization.
Harper’s birth makes it a total of eight Dixie Chicks offspring in the last few years. Natalie Maines and Heroes star Adrian Pasdar have two sons, Jackson, 7, and Beckett, 4. Emily Robison and husband Charlie are parents to Gus, 5, and twins, Julianna and Benjamin, 3.

Martie Maguire of the Dixie Chicks has announced, via the band’s Web site, she’s pregnant with her third child. The 38-year-old country music superstar said she and her husband are having another girl.
Her 3-year-old twin daughters, Eva and Katie, ”are very excited to have a new baby sister," she said, ‘Three girls, what a magic number!”
Her publicist has confirmed the report. She’s expecting her bundle of joy this summer.
