Melania, Barron Trump Share Mommy-and-Me Time

March 4th, 2009

Barron Trump is living a kid’s dream during The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Bunny Hop held Tuesday at FAO Schwarz in NYC.

Wearing a sharp beige suit, the 2-year-old son of Donald and Melania Trump gets a kiss on the lips from mom, who wipes his face of her lipstick. He brings her a toy.

“Look mommy, I’ve got a taxi,” he says, blue eyes sparkling. “Here’s the sign.”

Ivanka’s littlest brother returns with a swirled lollipop.

“So you want that, too?” she coos, crouching down.

Melania, 38, cherishes every moment with her young son, who is eager to get into the party, which includes a wildlife expert surprising kids with exotic creatures like a hedgehog, iguana, cockroaches and a tree frog.

What’s the best thing about motherhood?

“The way he’s growing, the way he’s talking, the way he says ‘I love you,’” Melania says with her lilting Slovenian accent. “The way he says ‘mommy, would you like some food? Would you have some ice cream as well?’ The questions, the talk, the love … everything!”

What advice would the former model give busy moms-to-be?

“Sleep as much as you can, because once you have a baby, you will not.”

For Barron’s third birthday on March 20, the family will head to Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. Turns out, their family tradition is togetherness.

“We always spend birthdays together, always for Christmas, for Thanksgiving – always, always together,” she says.

What’s one thing she would ask her hubby, 62, who cannot be here tonight?

“What would you like for your birthday? That’s what I’d like to ask Donald. It’s always tough to buy something.”

As young Barron pulls her away, Melania laughs. “He’s keeping me in shape.”

And what a party it is inside the legendary toy store: Stations serving Dippin’ Dots, burgers and fries, pasta, chicken nuggets, bunny-shaped cheese sandwiches and chicken-and-shrimp velvet fritters dot the second floor. Kids decorate their own cupcakes at a display hosted by Susie’s Supper Club. Families eye the karate demonstration, and partake in a magic show.

Gift bag time! Guests receive a boy-or-girl stash of surprises. For girls, it includes Vera Bradley stationery and pencils; Trump golden chocolate bar; and an invitation to the Papo d’Anjo trunk sale. Nice. What lucky kids.

Stars Primp For ‘Sex And The City’ Premiere

May 30th, 2008

Sarah Jessica Parker sparkles at the Sex and the City: The Movie premiere held at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

“The best part of doing this movie is being back with my best friends again,” she tells reporters. “The sexiest part about tonight is being with you — and all those people.”

The massive crowd gathered across the street certainly deserves the love. Umbrellas perched, the devotees wait through a fierce downpour – and every single woman is dressed up just like Carrie Bradshaw herself. Talk about an ego boost!

While Kim Cattrall strikes a cute pose alone, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon dash into the theater together.

The girls’ significant others fly solo. After posing for photos, Sarah Jessica’s super-sweet hubby Matthew Broderick climbs over the velvet rope and slinks off the pink carpet. After all, this is her night to shine. On the other hand, Kim’s chef boyfriend, Alan Wyse, chats it up. Cynthia’s girlfriend, Christine Marioni, enters an hour earlier. She’s wearing a beige men’s suit!

Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson, who plays Carrie’s assistant, makes a pit stop. She has really slimmed down. Impressive! What did she love about the show? “They talk about real things that we all go through.” And, what does she think about the new American Idol David Cook? “I love David Cook but I felt Archuleta should’ve won,” she says. “At this point, they’re both the bomb.”

Fergie, whose tune Labels And Love is the theme of the movie, shows off her engagement bling. How many carats? “I’m not telling,” she jokes. “Guess.” What’s the story behind the song? “It’s a love triangle between fashion, friends, plus love.” Wait, where’s fiancé Josh Duhamel? Home sick! : (

Here come the guys.

What was the sexiest part of making the film? “We got to do it so many times,” Chris “Mr. Big” Noth says.

David Eigenberg can’t believe this movie was made. “I’ve been on the record saying this day would never, ever happen, and it has. I was wrong! Happily I can admit I was wrong.”

Jason Lewis is thrilled to be back with the cast. “It was fun,” he says. “I actually had everyone out for a barbeque. It’s always family.”

Willie Garson, who plays SJP’s gay best friend, slides through. “I love cosmos,” he says.

Donald and Melania Trump make their entrance. Ivanka’s stepmom confesses she loves the SATC style, and Donald says the flick is “great for New York.” … Oh, there’s Jerry Seinfeld and wife Jessica waving. Hi guys! … Idina Menzel is thrilled to be here tonight. … Get this: Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams says she’s holding a Sex and the City viewing party, like millions of women around the world. … Donna Karan gives a thumbs up when asked if the SATC women inspire her fashion. …

Lauren Bush, with much older boyfriend David Lauren, won’t talk about cousin Jenna’s wedding, but says she’s well-rounded like Carrie. Emmy Rossum also gives a shoutout to Carrie. “She’s effortlessly cool,” she says. Whoa. Dean Winters loves Carrie, too. “I was Carrie’s **** buddy, so I’m biased. She’s my favorite.” … Surprise, surprise. Lydia Hearst is a Carrie girl. “Every girl in her life goes through heartbreak and hard work and has to overcome obstacles,” she says. “She is definitely the strongest of the characters.” Meanwhile, Lil’ Kim says Samantha is her type. Yep!

It’s showtime. My friend Doree and I are in row Q, a few rows behind Sarah Jessica, Kim, Kristin and Cynthia. Oh, look, there’s Mario Cantone! The movie is great. Get this: On the way out, we bump into Gilles Marini, who is taking photos for revelers. (Spoiler alert: He’s Dante, the guy with the hot shower scene.) How funny. The swoon-worthy actor dropped by the OK! office last week. Jason Lewis Charms at the ‘Sex and the City’ Afterparty.

Sex and the City: The Movie is in theaters now.

TomKat, Beckhams, Scarlett Step Out For Met Gala

May 19th, 2008

Scarlett Johansson shows off her engagement ring as she strides into the annual Costume Institute Gala during the superhero-themed soiree held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

The 23-year-old beauty is the belle of the ball, and everyone including Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Eva Longoria Parker, TomKat, the Beckhams and more will congratulate her on the milestone.

Meanwhile, throngs of reporters are camped out on either side of the steps hoping to capture the attention of Hollywood’s brightest stars. Tom Cruise waves as Katie Homes beams while Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Sarah Larson make their way into the party.

How did regal-looking Victoria Beckham pick out her dress?

Mr. Armani picked it out for me,” Posh says, turning around before she goes into the event. “I love it.”

Fergie’s ponytail is in full swing as Donald Trump (and his hair) plus wife Melania and daughter Ivanka stroll through.

What superpower would Taylor Swift most enjoy?

“I’d want to see what people were thinking in a subtitle underneath what they were saying,” she says. “That would be fantastic.”

Diane Kruger’s inspiration for her dress is She-Ra, the Princess Warrior. “I feel very sexy.” Her boyfriend, Joshua Jackson, longs for the ability to fly. “Just to be able to get around the lines at the airport. It would shave hours off the trip.”

When Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively is asked what she would do if she lost her Ralph Lauren bracelet, her rep chimes in. “She’s very responsible. She never loses things.” Blake laughs nervously. Her rumored beau, Penn Badgely, says he needs to draw the line between his personal and private life. (Good move) But he agrees that Blake looks beautiful tonight.

Ellen Barkin and Lauren Hutton blush as they reveal their secrets to aging well. “I feel like I’m in high drag,” Lauren says. Chris Noth expresses an affinity for the Fantastic Four … Hayden Christensen (with Rachel Bilson) gives props to Superman … Amanda Peet is loving The Hulk … Mischa Barton’s favorite is Wonder Woman … and Emily Mortimer goes for Flash Gordon. “He’s the campest,” she says. Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick prefers Batman. “He’s the only superhero that actually exists.”

Helena Christensen can’t wait to go inside.

“There’s something very magical about tonight,” she says.

Pick up the OK! on newsstands now for more coverage of the Costume Institute Gala. Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal/Ready To Wed is the cover line.

Melania Trump Looking Forward to Mother’s Day

April 18th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

Mother’s Day can’t come soon enough for Melania Trump.

Mrs. Donald Trump is counting down the days to May 11 and spending time with their 2-year-old son Barron.

"On Mother’s Day this year we will just spend it together, Barron and I," she tells MomLogic.com. "We will give each other a lot of kisses, a lot of hugs, a lot of love."

Lots and lots of quality time between parent and child is "important for me and for people," the 37-year-old model believes.

As for her little guy, Barron is steadily growing and learning before her eyes. While most children’s terrible twos are full of temper tantrums and crying for parents, the same can’t be said for Barron.

"He’s speaking two languages," Melania gushes proudly. "He communicates very well. He’s running around."

And his temperament? Perfect.

"He’s a very happy, happy boy."

Brody, Ivanka, John, Cassie Give Props To Pepsi

January 30th, 2008

Sports and showbiz mix during the Pepsi Stuff Launch Party held at NYC’s Pacha.

While New York Giants players Michael Strahan, Amani Toomer and Brandon Jacobs laugh off celeb romance questions, Ivanka Trump takes off her coat.

“So cold!” she says. “I just came from the office. I’m that girl who is fixing myself up a bit in the bathroom.” Her must-haves? “Purpose facial soap, and in the office, Pepsi.”

Here is Brody Jenner, who tells reporters he thinks Nicole Richie will be a great mother, and now we’ve got Cassie, who is stunning in a cut-to-the-belly-button top and oversized shiny black boots.

How does she keep her fab figure? “I try to eat healthy and take care of myself,” she tells me. “I dance and rehearse and rehearse and rehearse with my choreographer.”

John Legend and I catch up for the first time since I saw him perform at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival in May. “That was beautiful,” he tells me. “Great beach, great water. It was fun.”

Next up is Gossip Girl’s Dreama Walker, who helps a pal fix her hair. “Will you get my friend in here, please?” she pleads with a photographer. “Her name is Jo.”

How is she spending her time off during the writers’ strike?

“I’m really bored,” Dreama says. “I’ve done a lot of shopping. Just relaxing. My friend and I were thinking about taking a trip to Europe. There’s really nothing to do, but thank God there’s auditions for plays and movies. I have an off-Broadway play coming up, which is good. That will keep me occupied for a little while.”

Meanwhile, Prince Charming is whisked upstairs to the VIP section, where he’s waited on hand-and-foot. He tells me Kobe sliders, Hawaiian chicken, scallops and Glenlivet Scotch are being served, and Ivanka shyly says ‘hi, how are you?’ to him.

Ivanka is the greatest. Every single member of the Trump family is super-sweet including Donald, Ivanka, Donald Jr., Vanessa, Melania and Ivana. They’ve got the perfect blend of brains and beauty – and serious spunk! The Donald reminds me of my uncle, I see him so often — seriously.
