Scarlett Plans a Second Wedding!

November 17th, 2008 / Author: matt

After a top-secret ceremony in the Canadian wilderness, Scarlett Johansson, 24, and husband Ryan Reynolds, 32, are planning the second stage of their intimate “I do’s.”

The low-key couple, who tied the knot at Clayoquot Wilderness Resort near Vancouver on Sept. 27, are holding a reception for their family and friends in the U.S.

“Scarlett wants something simple and classic,” a source tells OK!. “They’ve agreed on 150 guests, but it won’t be over the top.”

Next on the to-do list? Deciding the party’s location and whether to choose a chocolate or strawberry-vanilla cake!

But while ScarJo and Ryan just can’t stop celebrating their love, most Hollywood couples seem to have been hitting the rocks recently.

Here’s a few stars who have called it a day…

Rachel McAdams  & Ryan Gosling

Their 2004 tearjerker, The Notebook, set the stage for this real-life romance between Ryan, 28, and Rachel, 30, but after separating in 2007, their reunion this summer was short-lived.

“They broke up the first time because of their busy schedules,” an insider says, “and that’s the problem again.”

Jaime Pressly & Eric Cubiche

The My Name Is Earl star, 31, and her DJ fiance? announced their separation on Nov. 5. But the petite blonde insisted that she and Cuban-born Eric, 34, will stay close for the sake of their baby, Dezi, 18 months.

Evan Rachel Wood & Marilyn Manson

On Nov. 9, Evan denied rumors that she left the shock rocker for her Wrestler co-star.

“I’m not dating Mickey Rourke,” she insists. “Everybody thinks we’re dating, and we’re not.” Why did she and Marilyn, 39, break up? “Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work,” the Across the Universe star, 21, says.

Jason Priestly is back on TV!

Sorry, he’s only returning to direct that show. But the 90210 alum will be causing onscreen headaches for one of the Hickey brothers on My Name is Earl.

“I play Earl’s cousin, Blake, who is a professional backpack model,” Jason says, explaining, “You’ve seen him in all the top outdoor catalogs. I know it’s a little bit of a niche, but a very profitable niche, if done correctly.”

Jason does get to go back to his glory days. “It’s a flashback to 2000 and Earl throws an engagement party for Joy and of course, it all goes horribly wrong,” Jason teases.

Earl does get a bit of a break in the episode, since he doesn’t have to pay back karma. “He didn’t do anything wrong to me,” Jason says, adding that Blake may owe Earl the apology.

“Blake and Joy had a  sexual liaison at a certain time. Once Earl finds out about that, it really sends him off.”

Roadhouse fight! But Jason promises the fallout is thoroughly worth it.

“Watching two grown men competing like that is very funny,” he declares. “Jason [Lee] is such a funny actor, and Earl is such a funny character, it was a pleasure for me to go over there work with him, be in presence of comedic greatness.”

On the subject of karma, Jason says there’s one thing he wouldn’t mind doing over.

“The mullet I had in the ’80s, I’d like to take that back,” he laughs.

Don’t worry Jason. We forgive you!

Catch My Name is Earl on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

While You Were Sleeping

April 10th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

First it was Heidi and Lauren — now there might be drama between Hills star Lauren Conrad and current roommate Audrina Patridge. According to sources, Audrina locks her door when she leaves the apartment the two share because “she doesn’t trust Lauren and gets really annoyed at Lauren’s cats because they pee on her rug and on her bed,” reports Page Six. A rep for Patridge said, “This is ridiculous, Audrina loves living with Lauren.”

John Travolta might love The Little Mermaid a little too much. He took his 8-year-old daughter, Ella, and 26 of her friends to see the Broadway production this past weekend. Travolta was spotted singing along to all the songs and after the show, brought Ella and her friends backstage, where Travolta was seen “touching all the costumes, he looked amazed,” according to a source. “He said he was way, way into the show. He stayed backstage for a while,” reports Page Six. Travolta’s rep explained his fascination by saying “his daughter loves the show so he knows it well.”

Don’t get between My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressley and the Stone Temple Pilots. The blonde actress turned up at a private performance of the band and, according to a source, demanded to be escorted to the front. After the show, she allegedly threw a fit when band security wouldn’t let her backstage to visit her “friend Scotty” — Scott Weiland — reports Rush & Molloy.

Paris Hilton to Guest Star on “Earl”

March 4th, 2008

Before she returns to the big screen this spring, Paris Hilton will make a pit stop on the small screen.

The heiress-turned-actress is slated to make a guest appearance on My Name Is Earl next month.

In an hour-long episode, titled "I Won’t Die with a Little Help From My Friends," Paris will portray herself in a dream sequence of Earl’s (Jason Lee). The episode airs April 3, the first post-strike show for the sitcom.

"When we wrote the role of ‘Paris Hilton’ in the script, we weren’t exactly sure who to go with for the role," series creator Greg Garcia says. "But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton. I can’t wait to see what she does with the role, and I can’t wait for America to discover her."

The 27-year-old, whose next flick Repo: The Genetic Opera opens April 25, is no stranger to television, of course, having starred on The Simple Life and guested on American Dreams, The O.C., Veronica Mars and Las Vegas.
