According to a report in the Nashville Post, the high-end real estate market in Music City, USA, is booming thanks to rumors that blonde bombshell Jessica Simpson recently purchased a home for $3.47 million in the Northumberland gated community in Forest Hills.
In recent months, the former Mrs. Nick Lachey has become a fixture in Nashville as she records her upcoming country album. And the whispers going around the city say that she’s the still-anonymous celebrity who bought the deluxe mansion, which sprawls out over 11,000 square feet and contains seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and two half-baths, all inside a gated subdivision featuring a pool and tennis courts.
If it is the Employee of the Month star who’s behind the purchase, she will soon be able to call country superstar LeAnn Rimes neighbor as the 25-year-old singer lives down the street.
"Jessica will love her new neighborhood," one source tells OK!. "There’s the Greenhouse and Corner Pub, as well as high-end, celebrity-friendly salon Trumps and shopping destinations Louis Vuitton, BCBG, Tiffany &Co. and chic shoe boutique The Perfect Pair."
However, the folks in Forest Hills shouldn’t necessarily be getting their hopes up for a Simpson sighting anytime soon. A rep for the singer tells OK! that the singer/actress "absolutely did not buy a house in Nashville."

While her ex-hubby, Nick Lachey, is busy romancing current main squeeze Vanessa Minnillo in sunny Puerto Rico, Jessica Simpson had a not-so-tropical setting on her mind. “Boston has cute boys,” the singer/actress tells TV’s Extra. “I need a Boston man. A Boston man is closest to a Southern man.”
In the interview, set to air Tuesday night, the former Newlywed confirms what OK! recently reported — that she’s working on a country album in Nashville. “I can’t wait to share my heart with the world,” she explains. “I really can’t wait to let people in on what I’ve experienced — the fun, the good, the bad, the happy, the sad… it’ll be a very personal album.”
Looking forward to the holidays, Jess says she can’t wait to spend time with her family. “We try and have family outings… it’s always real special when it’s the four of us because normally there are so many people around us.”
Check out Extra Tuesday night for the entire interview.

Pop singer and reality starlet Jessica Simpson, who grew up in Texas, has relocated to the country music capital, Nashville, with the goal of exploring her inner country crooner.
In the past, the elder Simpson sister, more famous for her bubblegum pop than her Texas twang, has expressed interest in releasing a country album, and now OK! has learned she’s not just whistling “Dixie.”
“Jessica has been writing music with John Rich of [country duo] Big & Rich,” one Nashville insider reveals to OK!. But the blonde singer/actress’ time in Tennessee hasn’t been all work and no play, as she has been able to get out and about with her father Joe Simpson and best buddy Cacee Cobb. Jess and company recently checked out the new restaurant Agave that specializes in tequila and tapas.
