OK! Exclusive: Katharine McPhee Married!

According to a source close to singer Katharine McPhee, the 23-year-old American Idol runner-up was married to her boyfriend, actor Nick Cokas in a ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday.

In September, OK! was the first to reveal that Kat and Nick, who is 19 years older than his new bride, were engaged. And only a few weeks ago, the singer confessed to OK! that she was desperately trying to get in shape for the wedding.

"I do 20 to 30 minutes of cardio three times a week if I’m lucky, four times if I’m really lucky," Katharine told OK!’s Red Carpet Confidential blog. "I just started doing lunges with dumbbells, and I just started doing shoulder stuff, arm stuff, back stuff.”

Katharine McPhee, 23, is gearing up for her February wedding to Nick Cokas, 42.

How is the American Idol runner-up getting into bride mode?

“Well, my fiance’s more of the gym expert than I am,” she tells me. “I’m more into the dance class thing but because of the schedule, I can’t always make it. I do 20-30 minutes of cardio three times a week if I’m lucky, four times if I’m really lucky. I just started doing lunges with dumbbells, and I just started doing shoulder stuff, arm stuff, back stuff.”

Has she ever had a workout go wildly wrong?

“I killed myself one time – the back of my quads or whatever you call ‘em, hamstrings – I really hurt myself. For five days, I had excruciating pain from working out. I was in the worst pain ever.”

As “new” reports of an engagement between former American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee and her actor beau Nick Cokas spread around the Internet, OK! sits back and asks “that’s news?” since we reported it almost two months ago!

“They’re definitely engaged,” a source on the set of Katherine’s film House Bunny told OK! — back in September. “They’ve been talking about it for some time.”

The 23-year-old brunette beauty and her 42-year-old fiancé originally met when they co-starred together onstage in The Ghost & Mrs. Muir.

Since, as has become a tradition in Hollywood of late, the couple has yet to confirm or deny the good news, OK! contacted Kat’s rep, who only said “we do not comment on our clients’ personal lives.”
