Now that she’s no longer a Desperate Housewife, Nicollette Sheridan is coming off even more like her character, Wisteria Lane’s resident bad girl, Edie Adams.
“When the show started it was such a different beast," she dishes to TV Guide. "It was exciting and dangerous and funny and edgy and bizarre. It started feeling a little complacent, and that was very frustrating.”
So why didn’t she quit such a complacent show sooner? Legal issues, she reveals, saying all the women were "contractually bound, so there was no way out on your own terms.”
When she found Edie had been killed off, Nicollette didn’t waste a tear, she admits, as she realized she’d be leaving the show.
“I said, ‘OK, sayonara. It’s been a great ride. Thank you."

Nicollette Sheridan Not a Dirt-Disher

There’s probably a lot of dirt to dish behind the scenes at Desperate Housewives, but don’t expect exiting star Nicollette Sheridan to be the one reporting it!
The star’s rep tells Extra that a recent report saying Nicollette would be writing a tell-all book about her days on Wisteria Lane is "…completely not true. Nicollette is a private person and would never write a book about this.”
It seems her bad girl character Edy’s influence only reaches so far! Which makes us wonder, if she’s not going to write one, who will?

The Housewives are breaking up!
Original castmate Nicollette Sheridan is leaving Desperate Housewives, Extra has confirmed.
On Wednesday, Sheridan’s rep said, "Yes, [it's] confirmed. Nicollette had a great time on the show and is looking forward to her next project."
What will the show do without its resident bad-girl?
No word yet on how Sheridan’s character, Edie Britt, will be written out of the show, but this wouldn’t be the first time. Last season she was driven out by the other women only to return when the show fast-forwarded five years later.

Even though Nicollette Sheridan and David Spade have yet to verbally confirm that they’re a couple, the pair let their body language do the talking on Friday night.
The Desperate Housewives star was celebrating her 45th birthday at new L.A. hot spot Luau in Beverly Hills — the same place they were spotted together a few weeks ago at the grand opening — and onlookers tell OK!, "Nicollette and David were full-on making out!"
The duo arrived separately and even started the dinner at separate booths but couldn’t resist each other for long! According to witnesses, Spade winked at Sheridan and stood at her side while she blew out the candles on her cake. After that, the two retreated to a booth where they cuddled and kissed.
Nicollette, decked in a sequined gold frock, was joined by castmates Neal McDouough, Kyle MacLachlan and Felicity Huffman, who was joined by husband William H. Macy. The actress enjoyed sipping on lychee martinis all night, while her guests indulged on Luau signature dishes and cocktails like the Pupu Platter and Banana-Leaf wrapped Halibut and mai-tais and a specialty cake that read, "Happy Birthday Princessa."
