Britney Goes Live on the Radio

Britney Spears has descended upon NYC and is already hitting all the big stops, including a visit to radio station Z100 to chat live on the air about her new album, Circus.

 

"I’ve been working on this album for six months or so," she tells Z100’s JJ.

 

The Britster seemed calm, cool and collected wearing a sweater and sunglesses as she added her thoughts on her new song, "Womanizer," which dropped last week.

 

"It’s a really cool song," she says of the single. "I like the fact that it’s so empowering for girls, because it’s basically saying, ‘We know what you’re up to.’ It’s about guys cheating on other girls and stuff and it’s kind of like a girl anthem."

 

Britney says she was suprised that for all the times she’s been nominated, that she finally won a VMA for her "Piece of Me" video.

 

"It’s a cool video, but I think by far, that I’ve done videos that are way better, so I was really shocked that I got the award." But this year’s success snagging three Moonmen could be just the start for Britney, who says she’s excited for the future of her videos.

 

"It was just inspiring though, because now going forward with the videos I’m doing now,  I can really go there and do something crazy and see what happens."

The comeback queen arrived in the Big Apple yesterday, and she’s set to take in the sights and eat her favorite NYC treat – pizza.

 

"I miss it here so much, I love it!" she gushes about the city. "It’s kind of bittersweet coming here because I used to live here for two years, so when I come back it’s like, man, I wish I had my apartment here still."

Brit also revealed some exciting news for next year – she’ll be going on tour next year, "probably around the world."

“No Injuries” says J Lo’s Trainer

At the opening of the Project Runway finalists’ show in Bryant Park during Fashion Week in NYC Friday morning, Heidi Klum announced that the much buzzed about appearance by Jennifer Lopez as a guest judge on the season finale will not be happening.

 

"Jennifer Lopez was going to be our guest judge, [but she] cancelled yesterday due to a foot injury," Heidi told the audience.

 

Despite Heidi’s comments, Gunnar Petersen, Jennifer’s trainer, denies any mishap, telling OK! "No injuries, all good."

 

The show must go on, however, even as it changes networks and guest judges.

 

"A great five years at Bravo comes to an end today, thank you so much, you did a beautiful job putting the show on the network," she added, as the show is moving to Lifetime.

 

So if Jennifer is out, who’s stepping in?

 

None other than fashion guru Tim Gunn!

 

"I’m happy to fill in last minute and will be impartial and unbiased to the designers," said Tim.

Suri Cruise: Big Girl in the City!

Beverly Hills is so over! As mom Katie Holmes,29, gets ready for her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, Suri Cruise,2, is preparing to move with her mom and dad Tom Cruise,46, to NYC!

While Katie performs at the Schoenfeld Theater this fall, Tom and his little girl will have much to keep them busy, from trips to the Central Park Zoo to tea parties at the Carlyle Hotel’s socialite-heavy Bemelmans Bar and umpteen viewings of her favorite Broadway musical, Hairspray, where she is already well known by the cast and crew.

The adorable tot will trade chi-chi Beverly Hills eateries like Cut and E. Baldi for fine dining at NYC’s Tavern on the Green and Orso. And don’t be surprised to see Suri indulging in a Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity 3.

Come winter, she can ice-skate at Rockefeller Center or wear a high-end holiday frock to watch the Rockettes kick up their heels at Radio City Music Hall. Best of all, stylish Suri will be able to get her fashion fix at one of Fifth Avenue’s many designer boutiques or watch models walk the runway during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

That’s not to say it’s all playtime for Suri. "Katie has been actively looking at different NYC dance schools for?her," an insider tells OK!. "Suri loves tap and Katie wants to make sure that if? ever Suri wants to hit the Broadway boards herself she has all the? right moves!"

TomKat Go Apartment Hunting in NYC

The paint is barely dry on their new L.A. mansion, but Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are hunting for an apartment in New York City. As Katie gears up to take Broadway by storm with her role in the revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons this fall, the actress and her superstar spouse want their own Big Apple digs.

 

They reportedly have their eye on a beautifully furnished, multilevel, six-bedroom apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, but are continuing to look in the $60,000-a-month range. "Tom’s owned a small bachelor apartment in Manhattan for years, but it is not suitable for a family with a nanny and security," a friend of the actress tells OK!.

 

While Katie, 29, stays put in NYC for the play, Tom, 45, will travel back and forth to L.A. during the 16-week run, often taking 2-year-old Suri with him. "He can’t stay full time in NYC because he has older kids, Connor and Bella, to tend to, and all his production company business," a source tells OK!. "He’s very excited for Katie and is almost as excited about opening night as she is."

 

As Tom and Katie prepare for her new role and life in the perfect NYC pad, it’ll be a case of Holmes sweet Holmes!

OK! Exclusive: Katie Training For NYC Marathon

While her hubby Tom Cruise has been keeping himself busy shooting his new film Rubicon in and around Berlin, Germany, actress Katie Holmes has often been spotted enjoying an early morning jog around the European metropolis. And OK! has learned exclusively that she’s not just doing it to keep her figure fit for Tom — She’s fulfilling her dream to run in the New York City Marathon.

“She’s been training for months, in both L.A. and Berlin,” a friend of the Thank You For Smoking star reveals to OK!. “Katie is determined to complete the race; she’s as fit and toned as ever.”

And though a rep for Katie could neither confirm nor deny if the 28-year-old beauty would be lining up with the thousands of other marathoners on the starting line at the foot of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in Staten Island on Nov. 4, OK! has confirmed that the couple’s security experts have been investigating what would be required if Katie did choose to run this year.

Rumor Mill: Jen Aniston moving to NYC?

Reports are going around claiming that Jennifer Aniston bought
a $4 million apartment in New York City. But Extra has
learned from Jennifer’s publicist that the rumors are “not true.”

 

He said, “She has not purchased an apartment in New York. She
may in the distant future, but she doesn’t even know what that building
is and hasn’t even looked at any places yet.”

Brangelina Takes the Kids Shopping in NYC

Earlier today, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took their three adorable children to one of their favorite Manhattan haunts — no, not the Central Park Zoo or Times Square — Lee’s Art Shop!
The Brangelina brood popped into Lee’s, where Angelina often brings the kids during their visits to NYC, this morning and spent around 30 minutes checking out the store, spending over $350 on books and car toys. Unlike a lot of other A-listers, Brad and Angie did not ask to have the store closed to other shoppers.
"They were dressed really casually and looked happy together," one witness tells OK!. "Angelina didn’t look as skinny up close." According to the onlooker, the three older kids, Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, and 2-year-old Zahara, were happily running around the art store’s aisles having a great time while baby Shiloh slept.
