Meet In Treatment’s newest star!

December 11th, 2008

Hot off its Golden Globe nomination, In Treatment is inviting a new gal to plop on the couch!

Sherri Saum has done her share of physical acting starring on the soap One Life to Live and on the fire-house drama series Rescue Me.

But now she’s got a whole new TV gig that keeps her pretty much confined to one space, literally, on the HBO psycho-babble series.

Sherri’s been cast as Bess, and will debut when the show returns for its second season this spring.

“I am playing a mom on the brink of divorce, with a son,” she told OK!’s Oliver Coleman at the premiere of the HBO documentary, Le Cirque: A Table In Heaven – airing Dec 29 – held at, where else? the famed restaurant itself.

“We have all the typical issues and some not so typical ones,” Sherri continued.

Sherri knows  that when it comes to pulling off this drama, the action in all in the expression.

“You’re acting with your face, your eyes,” Sherri explained.

“You’re always sitting on the couch with your psychiatrist, dealing with the issues and there’s no car chases or conclusions.”

That may be the hardest one to grasp of all!

Ugly Betty’s Michael Urie Likes it Rude

October 9th, 2008

Ugly Betty airs tonight! We’ll find out who was dastardly enough to push a very pregnant Christina down the stairs.

Co-star Michael Urie is staying mum on the top suspects, but he did reveal to OK!’s Oliver Coleman how he’s adjusting to shooting in the real Big Apple.

Michael loved shooting on the West Coast, but says creative juices can dry up n the perfect California sunshine.

He couldn’t be happier that production has moved to New York.

"People aren’t rude to you in L.A., like they are here," he shared at Paper Magazine/ABSOLUT Disco launch party co-hosted by Patricia Field. "And you can’t be an actor unless people are complete bastards to you."

The New Yorkers have already been kind enough to give Michael, who once lived here for seven years, plenty of  ‘inspiration’.

"On my second day back in New York, I was walking with a friend and we turned on to Fifth Avenue, and this women brushed right by my friend," he said.

"My friend said, ‘Wow!’, and this woman came back, and started swinging her phone around and was like, ‘I will hit you with my phone!’ It was insane!"

If it helps Michael, great, but let’s hope people aren’t too keen to stimulate your talents!

Catch a new episode of Ugly Betty Thursday at 8 p.m. on ABC.

John Mayer Talks About Aniston Split

August 16th, 2008

When OK! caught up with John Mayer in NYC on Saturday, not only did the singer admit that he and Jennifer Aniston are no longer together — the normally obtuse star actually spoke openly about the split.

"It’s the most normal thing in the world," John says. "There’s no lying there’s no cheating. There’s no nothing."

John also had nothing but the kindest words for his ex. "Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I’ve ever met," he explained. "She’s one of the most lovely people I’ve ever met in my life."

So what went wrong? "People have different chemistry, they have different lives," says John. "It’s not about years, it’s about going out with somebody, being truthful on the way in, being truthful in the middle and being truthful on the way out. You’re either a cheater or you break up and I’m not the first, I’m the second. And that’s it. There’s no lying, there’s no bullsh**."

And according to John, it was him that called a halt to their romance. "I ended a relationship because there was no lying," he explained to OK!. "I ended a relationship to be alone because I don’t want to waste somebody’s time if something’s not right. I don’t waste people’s time. I don’t do the taper. I guarantee you there’s 20 percent of the people on the street right now who are in a relationship they wish they could get out of but they don’t know how. And I’m going to be honest on the way in to my relationships and I’m going to be honest on the way out of my relationships."

"I’m sorry that the story’s not interesting," John tells OK!. "But it’s about time that somebody stands up for that girl and I think she’s great."

As for the news that Jen has already moved on and begun seeing another man, John shrugged, "I don’t care."
