Cover Story: Inside Chris & Rihanna’s Reconciliation

In a reconciliation almost as shocking as their rift, Rihanna and her boyfriend Chris Brown are apparently back together — not long after an alleged Feb. 8 assault left her face bruised and bloodied and his reputation in tatters.
Rihanna, 21, and Chris, 19, reunited last weekend in Miami Beach at the sprawling Star Island mansion of Sean "Diddy" Combs. "Chris promises he can change — he’ll do anything to keep the relationship alive," a friend of Rihanna’s tells OK!.
Though Diddy may not be a master at conflict resolution, insiders say he felt compelled to intervene. "Sean thinks they’re both good people and knows they love each other," a friend of Diddy tells OK!. "While he doesn’t condone Chris’s behavior, he believes people make mistakes and that everyone deserves a second chance."
As part of his promise to reform, the R&B singer enrolled in an anger management course, attending his first class in Glendale, Calif., on Feb. 23. Says a friend, "He’s the first to admit he f****d up."
Another insider reveals that Diddy offered his Miami Beach house to both Rihanna and Chris at different times and that Rihanna only agreed to take Diddy up on his offer "when she agreed to meet Chris."
But why did she accept Chris’s offer of reconciliation? A source who knows the couple tells OK! that Rihanna can be a clingy and possessive girlfriend. "She always has to have Chris around," says the source. "If he’s with her on a photo shoot and he steps away, she starts saying, ‘Where’s Chris?’ If he isn’t with her, she wants to call and check in."

Why Does Martha Stewart Adore Rappers?

Some of our favorite bizarre TV moments lately have been Martha Stewart trading household tips with Snoop Dogg, and teaching LL Cool J how to make scary Halloween decorations.
And when the housekeeping guru was relaunching her show in 2005 after her spell in the big house, she picked P Diddy as one of her first guests.
Clearly, Martha has a bit of a thing for rappers.
At a party to celebrate the dedication of the Robert F. Kennedy bridge in New York on same day Snoop showed her the secret to ‘cognac potatoes’ on the show, she told OK! why.
"I like these guys," she told us. "I like their music, I like their expression and they’re fun. They’re actually good guests. And that’s important."
In fact, she says, "they’re great guests."
"Snoop was fabulous!," she said. "I can’t wait for P Diddy to come back."
Now she didn’t say so, but would it be too much to imagine that Martha has a new-found affinity with Diddy and Snoop — both of whom have had their own battles with the law — since she came out of the clink?
We kind of like to imagine Martha and the guys back in the green room before the show trading tales about life under lock and key!

It’s a kinder, gentler Diddy this year. Mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs told people to “Vote or Die” during the last election, as a way to motivate voters to get to the polls. This time, he’s back with a less harsh message: Go vote. “"If we want to stop the war, if we want to get the economy better, I think that young people need to understand they have to take matters into their own hands," said Combs. "It is really like waking up a sleeping giant." In 2004 Combs launched the nonpartisan group Citizen Change to promote youth voting.
Relatives of dead actor John Ritter have launched a $67 million lawsuit against two doctors, claiming that the 8 Simple Rules…for Dating My Teenage Daughter star would have survived if two doctors had recognized his heart abnormality. Ritter died after being rushed from the show’s set and treated for a heart attack. His family argues that had his pre-existing condition — a tear in the aorta — been caught by doctors, it would have changed the course of treatment and he would have survived.
On Monday a Los Angeles coroner reported that southern rapper Pimp C’s death was ruled accidental. The influential rapper died on Dec. 4 at the Mondrian Hotel in L.A. after an accidental overdose of codeine and promethazine, according to the report. The coroner said that C’s sleep apnea, combined with the drugs caused his death. Pimp C rose o fame as one half of the hip-hop group UGK.
