Video: Pete and Amy’s Disturbing Home Movies

May 16th, 2008

As if the world couldn’t already guess what drives the friendship between Amy Winehouse and her new drug buddy Pete Doherty, the two decided to document their well-spent time together on video.

Doherty uploaded two strange video clips to his YouTube page on Friday, in which Amy is seen wearing nothing but a bra and cutoff shorts and appears totally out of it as she marvels over and plays with a cage full of newborn mice.

At one point Amy picks up one of the babies, pushes it into the camera lens and says to her currently incarcerated hubby Blake Fielder-Civil, "Hi Blake, please don’t divorce mommy. I don’t know what I’m doing but I know what love is."

(Sigh) We could go on but why not watch the clips yourself and tell us what you think is going on between these two.

Pete Doherty Sent to Jail

Babyshambles frontman and former Kate Moss hanger-on Pete Doherty is behind bars today, after a judge sentenced him to 14 weeks for breaching the terms of his probation.

Doherty has spent the past several years in and out of court on drug-related offenses. This latest incarceration stems from an October court hearing in which he admitted to several drug and driving offenses in exchange for a suspended four-month sentence.

During the October hearing, Doherty plead guilty to driving while in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, ketamine and marijuana.

The 14-week sentence means that the singer/songwriter will be forced to cancel an April 26 performance at Britain’s Royal Albert Hall. His appearance at Britain’s Glastonbury festival — where last year Doherty and Moss were married in a non-legally binding ceremony — was also doubtful.

Pete Doherty’s Still Not Going to Jail

In another turn of fortunate events for the troubled British rocker, a judge in the Pete Doherty case has given him a four-month suspended jail sentence. Pete had pleaded guilty to driving illegally while in possession of
crack cocaine, heroin, ketamine and cannabis.

The rocker is also subject to an 18-month
supervision order and a 12-month compulsory drug rehabilitation
order that includes drug tests twice a week.

When asked if he was happy about the judgment, Pete only had this to say: “You
must be joking.”
