Kim Confronts the Rumors

October 9th, 2008

Following recent rumors that reality star Kim Kardashian has had everything from butt to breast implants, the recent DWTS castoff is getting real–especially when referring to her curvy shape.

"Everyone has always said I had my boobs, nose, lips done,"  Kim, 28, tells Extra"I find it a little offensive on the red carpet when people yell, ‘Turn around Kim!’ There’s more to me than just my butt."

Kardashian insists everything about her is 100 % genuine.  Unfortunately, with her growing fame also comes speculation about her feminine assets, which have plagued her since her days at L.A.’s prestigious Marymount High School.

So what does she say to those who remember her as being a little bit different than how she is now?

"Honestly people, I’m not one to lie about it," Kim says bluntly.  "I love being curvy," Whatever size you are, be proud of it.

Kim recently posted a photo of herself in a white bikini at age 14 on her blog in an attempt to prove she’s always been voluptous.  But while most of Kim’s press seems to center around her physical beauty, the reality star says she’s most concerned with becoming a wife and mother.

"When I measure success–it’s about family," Kim says.  "To be a mom is a full time job, that a career."

And true to form, the Kardashians love keeping their family close. Their reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, just finished taping its third season.  "No matter what happens in our lives, we’ll always have each other,"  Kim says.  "Every drama brings us closer and closer together."

Speaking of closer, could there be one more joining the group soon?  Kim has been dating NFL footballer Reggie Bush, whom she referred to on her web site as her "hubby."

"I said hubby as a joke," she clarifies.  "He [Reggie] said, ‘Don’t use boyfriend, it’s so typical.’  He said to write hubby or baby.  Everyone thought I was married."

When it comes to making their long distance relationship work, Kim says, "It [work] gives us time to miss each other.  This is the first relationship I’ve been in with no trust issues."

So what’s next for the dark beauty? While she won’t be returning to DWTS to replace injured the Misty May, Kim says she wouldn’t have hesitated had they asked.

"It was just a rumor…I would have like to come back," she said.

Donna Mills: “Just Say Knots to Plastic Surgery!”

July 8th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

Former Knots Landing vixen Donna Mills, who played a plastic surgery addict on Nip/Tuck earlier this year, is not a fan of having a major overhaul in real life.

"I think there’s too much," Donna,67, told OK! about Hollywood plastic surgery. "I think a little bit here and there is good but when they keep going and going and going, it’s just not a good idea.  It just gets to look like [plastic surgery].  Like Joan Rivers kids about it.  There are others who have done it who can’t kid about it."

On Nip/Tuck, Donna played a character based on Joceyln Wildenstein, the "Cat Woman" famed for her over the top plastic surgery.

As for aging Hollywood actresses who go under the knife she says, "I wish that they wouldn’t because you can’t look 20 again and you shouldn’t and if you try it, it just looks wrong."

Mills was promoting her upcoming Hallmark Channel TV movie, Ladies of the House, at the Television Critics Association event in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

The still-gorgeous star says she avoids frequent trips to the plastic surgeon’s office by following a sugar-free diet, playing tennis and enjoying life with her adopted daughter Chloe,13.

Mills stepped out of the spotlight for years to raise her daughter and says of her choice, "I’m really glad I did my career and achieved a lot first.  If I’d had a child then, it would have been a struggle.  Now being a mother is the most wonderful thing. I can be there whenever she needs me."

She continues, "We like shopping.  It’s fun to take her around and show her places.  She wears a lot of my clothes but now I’m getting her hand-me-downs because she’s outgrown her clothes and is way taller than me."

Donna, whose portrayal of Abby Ewing thrilled nighttime soap fans on Knots Landing in the 1980s, has never married and has no plans to walk down the aisle with long time boyfriend actor Larry Gilman,58.

"Why chance ruining a good thing? Everything is hunky dory," she told OK!. "We’re perfectly happy and there’s no need."

Does Jen Have a New Face?

April 23rd, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

Jennifer Aniston admits to working hard to look as good as she does. An avid fan of yoga and running, the actress has been looking better than ever since she began filming Marley & Me in Miami. Whether she’s in a teeny white bikini on the beach, or simple jeans and a t-shirt, the 39-year old star seems to have transformed herself into a Greek goddess.

But is her stunning new appearance a result of her work, or has she had work done?

The former Friends star has publicly admitted to having surgery on her nose. "I had a [deviated septum] fixed," she said, calling it the "best thing I ever did."

But according to NYC-based plastic surgeon Dr. Kevin Tehrani, who has not treated the actress, Jen may have had cosmetic nose surgery as well. "Her tip appears to have been corrected; it looks very defined now," Dr. Tehrani tells OK!. "I think the bridge of her nose looks narrower as well. It’s very common for people to say they’re correcting a deviated septum when they are, in fact, getting cosmetic nose surgery."

But according to Jen, the nose is as far as it goes — she has always denied having any cosmetic surgery, and she’s downright adamant that she’s completely natural. "As boring as it sounds, it’s still all mine," she said last year.

Dr. Tehrani respectfully disagrees. "It looks like she may have had some filler in her upper lip. It’s subtle, but it benefits her face," he says. "Her brows look elevated, which means she may have had some Botox in her forehead." Both procedures are so easy and painless that, according to Dr. Tehrani, Jen could have done them on her lunch break!

Blake Lively Talks Nose Job Rumors

January 17th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

Thanks to speculation in the tabloids, rumors are now circulating that Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively had a nose job. According to reports — and questionable photographic evidence — the 20-year-old actress allegedly had her beak tweaked after filming 2006’s Accepted.

So when OK! caught up with Blake at Wednesday night’s Chanel Fine Jewelry’s Night of Diamonds held at The Plaza in NYC, we just asked her straight out about the stories.

“I don’t know,” Blake told OK! “It’s the way you address any rumor. People want to talk. They want to create negative things about you and your life, make up things. You can’t look at it. You can’t let them affect you.”

OK! Exclusive: Britney’s $81,000 Makeover Plans

December 5th, 2007 / Author: cwillett

While Britney Spears might have had some minor success in revamping her career with her recent album, Blackout, the once-chart-topping singer still hasn’t reached the mega-hit status of her glory days. But instead of heading back into the studio to try again or go on tour to remind her fans how great she can be, sources close to the pop star tell OK! she’s only thinking skin deep.

“She’s always worrying about what she looks like,” one friend of the "Toxic" songtress reveals to OK!. “She checks pictures of herself on the Internet every night and criticizes every single one."

So what’s Brit-Brit’s attack plan for being beautiful? A little bit of nipping here and tucking there, says the friend. She already underwent lip enhancement and forehead Botox on Oct. 18, a decision which the friend says was "spur of the moment." But apparently Britney was pleased with the results so she’s singing "Gimme More" to the docs.

On her checklist: liposuction of the abdomen, hips and thighs ($18,000); a breast lift with change of silicone implants ($25,000); a mini tummy tuck ($18,000); and work on her nose ($20,000). Grand total: $81,000!

Should Brit go ahead with the surgery, this will reportedly be her second nose job and the third time she’s had breast work done.

Dr. Jan Adams’ Uncle, Former Partner Speaks Out

November 14th, 2007

Dr. Pearlman D. Hicks, uncle and former business partner of
Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West’s mother, Donda,
before her untimely death last week, has spoken out to Extra about the case and
reveals his nephew is not certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

“I’m not sure. I believe he took his boards, but beyond being certified or not I
really don’t know,” he tells Extra. “I would not be surprised if he was not. When
I’ve seen him, I sort of got the feeling he may not think this is such an
important thing.”

The two shared a medical practice in California but terminated their partnership
a decade ago over monetary issues. Dr. Adams wasn’t contributing his share needed
to maintain their practice and Dr. Hicks admits, “I got the feeling he wanted
to be more of a celebrity kind of physician.”

Still, Dr. Hicks says there is no bad blood between the two
and his nephew, who he says can be considered arrogant from time to time, never
faced any lawsuits or grievances during their time together. “I had no
complaints about him. Everyone liked him. He did a good job while he was with
me.”

As for accusations that Dr. Adams is responsible for Donda’s
death, Dr. Hicks believes they are just that, since death is one of the known
risks of plastic surgery.

“I’m very shocked to hear these allegations now because until
they’re proven, I don’t really believe them,” he says. “The DUI is something that’s
worrisome, but these other things, I just don’t know about that at all!”

Even if he is innocent, Dr. Hicks believes the allegations have
done enough damage to his nephew’s career to impact his future in plastic surgery.

For more from Dr. Hicks and the case, check out Extra tonight.
