August 5th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

Lisa Marie Presley confirmed today to Entertainment Tonight that she and husband Mark Lockwood are expecting double bundles of joy in the fall.

Lisa Marie’s mom Priscilla Presley gushed to ET’s Mark Steines last week, saying she was excited to be a grandmother again.

“I even told her, if you don’t want twins, I will take one and make life easier for you!”

Twins run in the family—Priscilla has twin brothers and Elvis was a twin as well.

Make sure to check your local listings and tune in to ET on Wednesday, Aug. 6 to get the latest news on Lisa Marie’s twins.

DWTS Watch: Priscilla Presley Has Left the Building

April 16th, 2008

Priscilla Presley didn’t convince America she could swivel her hips as well as her late ex-husband Elvis Presley — and she was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars Tuesday night.

But The Naked Gun actress knows that the King, famed for his swoon-inspiring gyrations, would have loved seeing her glide across the dance floor. “I think Elvis would be very proud," she told OK!. "I can’t imagine it any other way.”

Priscilla had been praised for her feminine grace early in the competition. But Monday night’s rumba was panned by the judges, as she and partner Louis Van Amstel earned the evening’s lowest score, 21 out of 30. And apparently voters agreed.

“It’s been a huge challenge," she told OK! about her stint on the hit ABC show. "I’ve had such an emotional roller coaster on this journey. It’s made me vulnerable; it’s been empowering in that I was able to succeed at some feats that I thought I never could. I took risks.”

Unfortunately, Priscilla’s dancing was overshadowed by news of her plastic surgery nightmare. During the competition, her rep confirmed that she had once fallen victim to Argentinian physician Dr. Daniel Serrano, who was sentenced to prison for injecting patients with non-FDA approved substances. The quack has been nicknamed “Dr. Jiffy Lube.”

Still, Priscilla tried to put it behind her and was happy her daughter Lisa Marie Presley — who is pregnant with her third child — and Lisa’s fourth husband Michael Lockwood were able to cheer her on in the DWTS audience. “She’s enjoying her pregnancy,” the proud grandma-to-be smiled to OK! “She’s ready to enjoy being a mom again. Her husband is on cloud nine. It’s something they’ve always wanted together so I can’t be happier.”

She was philosophical about going home, “This is a very unpredictable show. Everybody is nervous. No one is comfortable even when there are great scores.”

The oldest competitor on the show, Priscilla said of her age, “I don’t feel it. I was able to do everything I set out to do and everything Louis asked me to do. Louis has really taught me a lot.”

Meanwhile, actor Cristian de la Fuente, who dances with Cheryl Burke and was voted into the bottom two couples with Priscilla and Louis, breathed a sigh of relief. He said, “I was really happy that it wasn’t us; I can’t lie. But Priscilla will be missed. She’s a legend.”

Cheryl added, “She’s such a classy woman and she’s brought so much character to each dance.”

Marlee Matlin Steals the Show

March 19th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

Marlee Matlin stole the show on Dancing With the Stars women’s night as the Oscar-winning actress proved she has loads of rhythm, despite being hearing impaired.

The L Word star received a standing ovation from the audience after her cha cha and the judges praised gave her a solid score of 22 out of 30.

And when OK! talked to Marlee backstage after the show, she was still reeling from the experience. “I don’t remember a single step I took,” Marlee told OK! through her sign language interpreter. “It’s all a blur. It’s just like when I gave my acceptance speech for the Oscar — I don’t remember what I said. What happened?!

Though Marlee’s lack of hearing is the topic on many DWTS fans’ lips, the actress tells OK!, “It’s funny — I know I’m deaf but I don’t think of myself [that way]. I lived as a deaf person all my life so I wouldn’t know any other way of living. I respect the feeling of awe that people have saying, ‘Oh, my God, there’s a deaf woman dancing.’ I would probably feel the same if I were a hearing person, too. [But] this show brings together people of different backgrounds. We all have our disadvantages of one sort or another.”

Marlee added, “I felt like I was on cloud nine. I felt like, okay, this is what it’s like dancing live in front of millions of people.”

The star gives all the credit to her dance partner, Fabian Sanchez, who guides her in time to the music. “He leads me as any man should lead a woman in a ballroom competition,” Marlee explained to OK!

Meanwhile, ice skater Kristi Yamaguchi got the high score of the night [see her OK! blog for more] and Priscilla Presley, the show’s oldest ever competitor at age 62, also impressed the judges — with her famous daughter Lisa Marie Presley sitting in the audience.

Next week, all the men and women perform one more dance and then there’s a first time ever DWTS double elimination — on next Tuesday night’s show, one guy and gal both must go home.

Priscilla Presley’s Dancing Off the Pounds

March 17th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

It’s just been dance, dance, dance for Priscilla Presley in the last month as she prepares for her debut on Dancing With the Stars tonight. Partnered with pro Louis van Amstel, Elvis’ ex is ready to hit the floor and show off her brand new body courtesy of all the rehearsal time.

“I think I’ve lost inches!" Priscilla tells Extra. "You don’t feel like eating. You don’t eat before rehearsals because you can’t. Then when you come out of rehearsals, you don’t feel like eating."

Whittling down her figure is exactly what the 62-year-old had hoped to get out of the competition and she’s crossing her fingers that there will be more weight loss to come.

“Toning would be great!” she says.

Viewers will have to tune in to ABC tonight to see how Priscilla fares on the dance floor and handles her nerves. One person who never had stage fright though? Elvis, she says.

“I don’t think there was anything you could say to calm Elvis down… Elvis was very passionate and a very emotional person and he wore his feelings on his sleeve.”

Priscilla Presley Prepares to Heat Up the Dance Floor

February 26th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

Her late ex-hubby was famous for shaking his hips on stage, and now Priscilla Presley will attempt to do the same on Dancing With the Stars. But don’t think she immediately signed up for the task.

"My first reaction was no, absolutely not. I don’t want to do it," Priscilla tells Entertainment Tonight.

Eventually, Elvis‘ ex agreed to join the season six cast after an inspiring chat with Jane Seymour, who finished in seventh place last season.

"She goes, ‘Are you gonna do it?’" Priscilla recalls. "And I said, ‘Well, I don’t know. It depends. I mean I have only one question for you, did you have a good time?’ And she said, ‘I had a great time. It was life changing.’"

Although she’s the oldest competitor on the show, Priscilla, who practices up to five hours a day with partner Louis van Amstel, believes that won’t hold her back on the dance floor at all as she still feels young at heart.

"I still feel at my prime," she says. "I still feel very active at everything. If I could inspire someone to just take chances and take risks… you start really believing your age when you stop doing things."

But that didn’t stop her daughter Lisa Marie from expressing concern at her mom’s new project. "She said, ‘You know what you’re getting into?! You’re all over the place Mama, do you know what you’ve done?!’"

And what would Elvis have to say about it?

"Oh, my gosh, I don’t know if it would surprise him. I really don’t."

The new season of DWTS premieres Monday, March 17 on ABC.
