Miley Cyrus may be regretting that she ever requested to meet Radiohead at the Grammys (they rebuffed her), after getting flack from the entertainment community.
Jamie Foxx is the most recent to step up and take a shot at the teen star, who couldn’t stop talking about the legendary band’s unwillingness to meet her. On Jamie’s Sirius radio show, he and the other hosts lit into Miley for her immature ways.
After first asking, "Who is Miley Cyrus?" when her name came up, Jamie went on to remember that "she’s the girl with all the gums," as Perez Hilton reports.
"She’s got to get a gum transplant," he continued joking. "Let me get an order of mouth, light on teeth, heavy on the gums."
The other guests and hosts joined in, joking that Miley has a lot of growing up to do before Radiohead, or anyone else, takes her seriously.
Miley Cyrus may be every teen’s favorite celebrity, but there are, apparantly, some people who couldn’t care less about the Hannah Montana star!
During an interview with JohnJay and Rich on their radio show, Cyrus said she was dissed by Radiohead at this year’s Grammy Awards, despite forcing her manager to beg them for an introduction.
"My manager asked and said, you know, ‘Miley, she’s really obsessed and she’d really like to meet them,’ and they were like, ‘Yeah, we don’t really do that,’" Miley told JohnJay and Rich. "I left ’cause I was so upset. I wasn’t going to watch!"
"I’d already texted all my friends, we were all freaking out. This is someone who I like would have cried to [have met]," she continued. "Stinkin’ Radiohead!"
Apparently Angelina Jolie is such a cool customer that she doesn’t mind her baby-daddy Brad Pitt hopping a plane to Italy while she’s stuck in bed waiting to give birth to a set of twin girls.
And that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday, when Brad flew from the south of France, where he and Angie have decided to hole up for the last few weeks of her pregnancy, to Milan, Italy, where he caught up with friend and Fight Club co-star Edward Norton for a concert by Radiohead.
Joining Brad and Edward in the VIP area of the Civica Milan was none other than Marianne Pearl, who befriended the Jolie-Pitts when Angelina portrayed her in the 2007 film A Mighty Heart.
Brad and Angelina may not have won any awards at last night’s Critics Choice Awards, but we’re going to go ahead and name them hottest couple of the night.
Meanwhile there were real awards handed out at the ceremony held in LA. A big winner of the night was the Coen brothers crime drama No Country for Old Men. It won for Best Directing, Best Supporting Actor, Javier Bardem, and the biggie — Best Movie.
Other wins include There Will Be Blood, which won for best soundtrack thanks to Radiohead’s Johnny Greenwood and Daniel Day Lewis won for best actor. Hairspray was also a double-header, winning for Best Ensemble and Best Young Actress.
Meanwhile, most people thought Juno (though it left the night with two awards, Best Comedy and Best and Writer, it came up short) and Into the Wild would hit it up big when in fact they came up cold. Other snubs included: Michael Clayton, Sweeney Todd and Atonement.
It’s believed that the Critics Choice Awards are a good barometer for the Oscars, if they should happen!
