J. Hewitt Writes About Love

If you don’t want your love life written about by a stranger, why not do it yourself? Jennifer Love Hewitt will be releasing her first book, The Day I Shot Cupid, to take on romantic issues women face in love and dating, instead of waiting for one to be written about her.

 

“Throughout my career, there has always been so much written about my love life. Some true, but mostly made up," she says in a press release from Voice publishers. "I thought it was time to share the real story of what I’ve learned navigating the dating waters. Hopefully, in addition to having a good laugh, women reading this will learn from some of my hard lessons.”

 

Jen’s had some tough times to deal with recently, including a break-up with her former fiancé, Ross McCall. Now that she’s happily in the arms of new beau Jamie Kennedy, she’s apparently ready to pass on her advice.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Happy to be 30

It would be an understatement to say that life has thrown Jennifer Love Hewitt some emotional curveballs over the last few years.

She landed a surprise TV hit with The Ghost Whisperer, but she’s been the butt of countless cruel jokes for her fluctuating figure. She got engaged to actor Ross McCall only to have the relationship fall apart before they made it to the altar.

Through it all, Jennifer has done her best to hold her head up and shrug off the bad times. She’s embraced her womanly curves and recently found love again with Hollywood funny guy Jamie Kennedy. And, having just celebrated her 30th birthday in February, the actress tells OK! that she’s finally beginning to feel comfortable in her own skin.

"I am! I’m getting there," Jennifer told OK! before Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards. "I turned 30 — that helps a little bit once you get out of your twenties. You can breathe for a second."

Of course, adds the actress, things are never perfect. "I would like to feel much better in my skin," she admits. "But I think I’ll be okay."

So can she finally say that she’s happy? "Yes," she says. "I am, actually."

Jamie Kennedy Confirms Jennifer Hewitt Romance

Ghost Whisperer co-stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy are officially an item – well, more than dating, as Jamie revealed this morning on Ryan Seacrest’s show.

 

"Yes, I’m just gonna say it, yes we are dating. Wow I’ve never said that!" he gushed.

 

Prompted by Ryan, he then said, "I, Jamie Kennedy, am dating, well actually we’re more than dating. We’re more than in love. We are …. we have an intense connection."

"I’m in love and I don’t care!" he adds.

A pal of Jamie’s tells OK! even more: "It’s been going on for a while. He was seeing a bunch of girls at once and then called them and told them that he was a ‘one woman guy’ and was in love with Jennifer. He’s always been a jokester but the past year he’s been trying to take his life in a new direction, grow up a bit, and he feels like Jennifer is his other half. They can joke and goof off but then he can have deep serious conversations with her."

 

It makes sense that he’s waited until now to reveal their status, as Jamie wanted to make sure she healed after her breakup with fiance Ross McCall.

 

"It’s been important that their friendship was solid, and ultimately he realized watching how hurt she was after her split from Ross that he had feelings for her… the rest just sorta happened."

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Heartbreaking Split

Jennifer Love Hewitt was so close to walking down the aisle with Ross McCall, she’d already bought her wedding gown, so it was “devastating” for her to end the engagement during the holidays.

 

“He broke her heart,” a source close to the Ghost Whisperer star says.

 

OK! has learned that the actress suspected her fiancé cheated on her. It reportedly happened last summer, but she was so in love with him, she tried to salvage their romance, even seeking couples counseling.

 

“The relationship never recovered,” the source says. “With all the talk over the holidays about their wedding, children and their future, she realized Ross was not the guy for her.”

 

They lived in Jennifer’s Toluca Lake, Calif., estate. “I saw them together on Dec. 27, and she looked miserable,” a neighbor tells OK!. “She looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders.”

 

A rep for Hewitt tells OK! it is “absolutely false” that Ross cheated. But Jennifer, 29, does have a history of relationships gone bad, having dated Carson Daly, Wilmer Valderrama and John Mayer.

 

“She thought that Ross was ‘the one,’ ”adds the source. “It’s going to take her awhile to bounce back from this, but she is such a great girl — she’ll find Mr. Right.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Fiance Split

Jennifer Love Hewitt and fiance Ross McCall have called off their engagement, OK! has learned.

Hewitt, 29, and the Scottish actor–who stars in the USA drama Crash, became engaged in Nov., 2007 after two years together.

 

"They broke up over the holidays and have ended their engagement," says a source close to the couple. "They’re both really sad about this. Even their friends are surprised; they seemed really happy. Everyone just wants the best for both of them."

Reps for both Hewitt and McCall had no immediate comment.

At the time of her engagement, Hewitt said, "I’m getting ready to turn 30 and get married and all those things. This year was my year to try to glow from within and feel better."

McCall, 32, who also co-starred in HBO’s Band of Brothers, appeared on an episode of Hewitt’s hit show, Ghost Whisperer, in 2006.

summer cooking and cleaning.

“I’m a neat freak and wanted to do different things to the house,” she tells OK!. “I [also] love to cook — cupcakes, spaghetti Bolognese, Dover sole, risotto and shrimp scampi.”

Fiancé Ross McCall, 32, loves her nesting ways. “He benefits from the cooking!” Must be contacting ghosts is only one of her many talents!

At the premiere of 27 Dresses last night, Jennifer Love Hewitt spoke to The Insider about her now infamous bikini shots that surfaced at the end of last year.

She said, with fiance Ross McCall at her side, "I was on the cover of People magazine in a bad bikini shot. I worked 20 years in this business and that’s how I got the cover of People!"

The photos, in which she garnered criticism for not pandering to Hollywood’s zero size standard, ruined the vacation she was on when they were taken. "It was not my best day, it was not my best week. I didn’t go frolic on the beach and feel really excited that those pictures were out there."

She added, "Somebody decided to say that I was the epitome of what isn’t attractive on a beach."

Rumor Mill: Jennifer Love Hewitt Pregnant?

Only weeks after announcing her engagement to beau, actor Ross McCall, rumors are running rampant on the Internet that actress Jennifer Love Hewitt’s recent, notorious weight gain (Editor’s note: She looks just fine to OK!) is due not to overeating, but to being pregnant. However, a rep for the actress tells OK! a very different story.

"Not true," a rep for the Ghost Whisperer star tells OK!. "These stories are 100% false."

When OK! recently caught up with Jennifer, she was gushing about her groom-to-be. "There isn’t anything I don’t like about him," the actress told OK!. "I really like his sense of humor. He’s gentle and kind and I have a lot of respect for him."

Jennifer Love Hewitt should be very happy. The Ghost Whisperer star recently got engaged to her boyfriend, actor Ross McCall. But when photos of the 28-year-old in a bikini surfaced last week she garnered much criticism for not pandering to the pressures of Hollywood and being a size zero.

 

On her Web site, Jennifer Love calls out the media for giving her a hard time:

”I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized,” she added. "To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.”

 

She goes on to say that being super skinny doesn’t mean you are happy or beautiful and tells girls who are curvy to rock those bikinis. And adds:

”What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles."

 

But these photos of Jennifer and her bethrothed show that despite the criticism, Jennifer is happy being herself and finding true love (no pun intended)!
