Reese Thinks Jake is “Fabulous”

As if there’s any doubt that Jake Gyllenhaal is less than perfect in some way, Reese Witherspoon is her boyfriend’s No. 1 fan.
"He’s fabulous," she reveals in a new interview with Elle magazine. He really is a fantastic guy."
While she won’t say much more, the usually tight-lipped mother of two does open up a bit about her divorce from ex Ryan Phillippe in a characteristically non-Reese way.
"Very humiliating and very isolating," she says of the split. "But, by the way, if it’s not painful, maybe it wasn’t the right decision to marry to begin with. Those are the appropriate emotions.
"You see a lot of people play this blame game," she adds. "Blame, blame, blame. You know? And it’s a really easy thing to do, and I’m certainly guilty of it. [You have to] look at yourself and go, ‘What part of this do I need to own? Which part of this is my responsibility? And that’s the painful work that you have to go through to hopefully get some real life knowledge out of it.”
And although her divorce and subsequent relationship with Jake have put Reese in the uncomfortable position of being in the spotlight non-stop, she seems to have a realistic grip on her fame.
“Fascination is gonna die off. I honestly know it. But it’s just like I keep waiting and waiting, and then it’s just more tabloid magazines, and it keeps going," she admits. "I don’t take a shower everyday. I don’t put on makeup everyday. I wear a lot of sunglasses, in case you noticed.”
We hadn’t, but now we’ll be on the lookout for sure!

As his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon continues to get more and more serious with boy-toy Jake Gyllenhaal, actor Ryan Phillippe’s romance with Australian actress Abbie Cornish took an interesting turn over the weekend when the pair hit the streets of Sydney over the weekend.
Ryan, who has all-but-admitted to dating Stop-Loss co-star Abbie, flew into the Australian metropolis on Sunday, where she was waiting at the airport for his arrival.
This is believed to be the first time Ryan has been Down Under with his Aussie sweetheart, and a report in the Herald-Sun claims that the Flags of Our Fathers star is planning on spending the Christmas holiday with her.
Reese: I Have Hope

With a highly-publicized divorce from Ryan Phillippe behind her and a new romance with Jake Gyllenhaal watched every step of the way, it’s a wonder that Reese Witherspoon can remain so clear-headed when it comes to men.
‘Do I need men?” she muses in an interview on Parade.com, “I don’t think it’s about needing men. It’s about love.
“Everybody needs love,” she adds. “Everyone deserves it.”
And after ending one marriage, the Four Christmases star is bound to be a little bit cagey when it comes to the topic of tying the knot with new beau Jake.
“Family is all we have in life, but I don’t know how I feel about marriage,” she tells me. “Obviously, I’m not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again. You sort of reconstitute your family. You find a family with people who come into your life for a reason."
Throughout the events of the last year, while sharing care of her children with Ryan, Reese has maintained strong, and admits that even after heartbreak, she’s still able to believe in the power of affection.
“I definitely still have a capacity to love,” she reveals. “Someone said to me once, ‘No matter what breakup you went through or what new love you find — the love you remember, like the love you now value, is yours. Whatever love you once gave to somebody else, it doesn’t go away. Even if it is only remembered love, it belongs to you.’
“Things change,” she says, “but your ability to love remains intact. Oh, I have a lot of hope for love! I do!”
